Sound deadening for 2009 Tacoma Access Cab: used 4 sheets inside the exterior panels for both front doors, wrap around both sides of 6×9 speaker openings, with some leftover bits filling in. Will tackle the rear doors later, but I’m impressed with just a light tap test between front and rear doors. The adhesive in this US-made product is very strong, so I cut 18″ long strips as wide/narrow as needed for ease of smoothing into place by hand before rolling. The exposed aluminum edge at each end of the 18″ strips make it easier to remove from the paper backing, so for shorter lengths, try to cut a strip in two lengths so you have an aluminum edge to start from. I’m glad I have the five sheets remaining! I didn’t take many photos, as this was a busy solo task in tight quarters.
I used a utility knife and steel square to cut the strips from the sheet, and 3M titanium scissors (Fiskars, but not those of a wife or girlfriend would work, too.)
