Has to recharge regularly. Does not hold a charge for very long. Has a delay when trying to type. Its not very convenient, other than providing great physical protection for the device.

I love ZAGG products but the keyboard attachment to the iPad is awful. When you rotate at different angles, it can snap out of place rather easily

my ipad is older and so is my pencil so it doesn’t stick to my ipad or case magnetically. this case has been a godsend because i like to type on a keyboard but my daughter likes to drop my ipad and lose the pencil. all of my problems are remedied with this case. it’s really sturdy, stands the ipad up. can be used when detached from the keyboard, the charge lasts a long time, and it holds my pencil.

I love this case. It’s not too bulky however sometimes detaching and attaching the keyboard can be tricky. The battery life on the keyboard is outstanding. Definitely would recommend for tablet users on the go.

Worst case ever! iPad does not turn off or screen go off when case is shut. Screen does not stay in place when open. Be careful because the whole top of the case with the iPad will fall off.

For the first year, I would’ve rated it 4 stars. It’s a great, secure case. The keyboard paired well. The only issue was that the hinge was so tight that it would often snap apart rather than hinging. Then, almost exactly a year after I bought it, the comma key acted like it was being pressed over and over again rapidly. I took the key out and tried to blow out anything that might’ve been stuck in the mechanism. It didn’t work. After about the fourth time trying, another key stopped working too. The rapid repetitive triggering of keys renders the keyboard useless. It never even saw that much use, because I tend to favor my other devices. With how long iPads last, I’m expecting that I paid way more per month of use for this keyboard case than for the iPad itself, which is very disappointing.

Bought because of adjustable viewing angle but unhappy with the stiff and noisy hinge action. The hinge stops when opening and the case detaches from the keyboard with a loud pop sound. Has not proved with use. Like the keyboard and tough shell.

Nice and sturdy by design but this is my 6th keyboard from Zagg. After a short period of time the magnetized hinge stop moving. I have to remove the iPad from the keyboard, physically adjust the hinge to a proper position, then reposition the iPad. Lousy design for the hinge.

Got this for my wifes IPAD because she wanted back lit key board. Its on the heavier side(Doesnt bother me because i know itll have no problem protecting the IPAD), and the hinge to adjust the tilt angle is a bit finicky. No problems with keyboard itself. She just got a LOGITECH, much lighter and the angle of the screen is much easier to adjust

I LOVE this!! This is a good quality product and worth the money. I really like that I can completely detach the keyboard. The keyboard keys are very comfortable to use. The backlight for the keyboard is both fun and practical. With the latest 10.2 iPad inserted it’s at 2.8 lbs, but I prefer to carry this over a laptop. It was important for me to find a product that would hold my Apple Pencil on the inside. To me, the Pencil holder looks like it would be perfect for a 2nd generation but my 1st generation Pencil fits fine. The covers for the headphone jack and the lightening cable port are very stiff. I don’t use the headphone jack but it was a problem for the lightening cable. I didn’t like that the cable couldn’t go in straight and I didn’t want any parts bent so I just cut the cover off. It would be great if this product came in different colors. This product has taken my iPad to a whole new level and I can’t go back to using my tablet without it!

This is not a good case. The hing, where the ipad sets is so stiff you cannot move it, even to close the case. After a short time the part that holds the ipad cracks. Do not recommend unless you are going to carry around two separate pieces.

I’ve had this for about two years now. At the start, it works great. After repeated use, it begins to give out and can’t hold your ipad anymore. This has happened with the two of these I’ve owned. If your Ipad is too heavy and at an angle, it “snaps” and gives out. You can see this in the cracking where your Ipad is held. The rubber around the Ipad isn’t snug, and the area around the camera is broken. I use my Ipad for schoolwork, so it isn’t being used extremely harshly or anything. Overall, I rate it 3/5 stars since the problem with the “snap” has happened with both cases I’ve had. The keyboard still works fine after 2 years, and the battery life is great. This case has stuck with me for a while, but the “snap” that happens is honestly annoying, and knowing its not just this keyboard and that its happened on two of the same products makes me wonder if it happens to all of them too.

Haven’t had it long but it seems like a nice case. Heavy but offers good protection. Love that it stays open on it’s own. Has a slot that holds a iPad pencil but since I got one off Amazon it doesn’t fit tightly and can fall out when open. And a little on the pricey side. Hoping it lasts longer than the last Zagg case which only made it a year before the keys weren’t working right.

This keyboard/case is indeed rugged. This is my 2nd Zagg case. I wore out the first one and had no hesitation to get another. My only concern is that the hinge action is very tight causing concern that the hinge could break while opening/closing the lid.
