  1. Gamer

I’m very happy with this lens. The low f-stop allows for a great bokeh in the photos.

  2. SVLLC

Small, sharp, beautiful color rendering and perfect for general purposes and streetphotography.

  3. JohnxGalt

I use this on my XT-30, great lens for street photography and travel. Light, compact, very sharp at f4.

  4. LinkOne

This a 23mm F2 its kinds wide but it can be a little soft. You must shoot in RAW to get all the focus points in. It is versatile for street photography.

  5. Axelfonze

If you’re coming from the world of DSLRs, then this lens embodies everything positive about the switch to mirrorless.

    It’s tiny. Super tiny.
    It weighs practically nothing.
    It’s sharp, even wide open.
The focus and aperture rings are nicely dampened and smooth.
It’s nicely sealed and leaves me feeling confident about shooting in inclement weather or poor conditions.

More than anything else, this lens with an XT-3 is fun. XT-30 too. Small, light, great IQ, and a high fun-factor. I love this whole range of lenses, and 23mm on an APS-C body is a great focal length for everything from environmental portraits, to photojournalism, to street photography, to landscapes.

  6. ChrisR

Purchased this lens for my X-Pro 3 to use for street photography and some everyday work. It is small, light weight and the image quality this lens produces is fantastic. Would highly recommend this lens, you won’t be disappointed. Great value for the cost of this lens.

  7. EMG50

One of the best Fuji prime lenses , Sharp and fast auto focus

  8. Leonel17

I saw several reviews on this lens as the preferred everyday lens for Fuji X-mount cameras. I have to say that yes, I agree with having this lens added to anyone’s inventory or at least part of your current go-to lens for everyday use.

  9. TommyJ

I can really get in close for these intimate pictures

  10. Raider

If you’re looking at the 35mm f2, consider this llens instead. It gives you more room (wider angle) and is a tack sharper. With that said, this series of lens isn’t the sharpest by Fuji, then again it’s also not nearing a thousand dollars!

  11. PS4Gamer

Great lens for beginners! It is best used under low light.

  12. Jian007

I have only been shooting with this lens for a few weeks, but it has practically lived on my X-T4 the whole time. Quick focus, nice clarity, lightweight, and is a fantastic walk around lens. It’s my favorite everyday carry lens.

  13. Nova

Compact lens to complement my Fuji camera. Small size and yet really clear images makes it a great street photography tool.

  14. Marshalltown

It’s not my favorite Fuji lens. That would be the 35mm 1.4 or the 16 mm 1.4. They are more expensive, but the image quality seems to have more “character.” It’s a bit soft when shot close up at F2. It is, however, a good lens with the fastest autofocusing I’ve seen in the Fuji lineup. It’s also weather sealed, unlike the 35mm, and has a very unobtrusive look. The size and autofocusing speed make it a great street and travel lens.

  15. Techjunkie

Must have for fuji cameras. Small and light and the price is right

  16. Biojoe

Small, light, short and fast lens when using AF. Wide angle great for street and landscape photography.

  17. TrixieSpeed

Great Lens. Does not disappoint. The perfect companion for my xPro3.

  18. Ssznre

Great little lens! We got this for streaming live church services from a desk via YouTube. Fuji makes great gear, and we’re happy with the purchase.

  19. AverageJoe

Fantastic lens and in stock. Price match with other vendors made this buy a no brainer for me.

  20. sirhawkeye

Probably one of my favorite primes in the Fuji line-up. Great street photography lens. It is a big larger and is made of full metal (so it can be cold when used outdoors in cold temperatures) but very nice bokeh and I like the aperture ring. The included lens hood also helps from accidental bumps and contact with the front lens element and does help give images some nice contrast (which is it’s primary purpose). It is a bit pricey and I wish Fuji would make a cheaper plastic version like they did for their 35mm f/2 lens. But if you’re into street photography this is a good choice if you want a prime (23mm for Fuji is equivalent to 35mm in full frame terms due to the 1.52x crop factor).

Being that you can buy other 35mm 1.8 lenses from other brands for APS-C (like Nikon’s 35mm DX lens, for $200) I’d say the value isn’t quite there. This is a quality lens, but for $450 (at the time of this writing) is a little high. $350 might be more appropriate.

  21. Fujiforlife

This lens is honestly more than you think you will get. I came from the kit lens 18-55 F2.8-4, and this was so much sharper and crisper the moment I looked through the view finder. When I looked at my pictures after the fact I was more than pleased with them by comparison. It’s also very lite, and super tank like. It fits and looks really nicely on my x-t3. The Wheather sealing has worked well so far and i can’t say enough how reassuring that feels when your out shooting. Took a couple close ish photos of my wife as a portrait test. Cropped in and the results were very pleasing. The talk of a soft close focus up close are real, but stop down a bit and that vanishes so I don’t really see what all the fuss is about to be honest. Especially as you can zoom in a tiny bit on a head and shoulders portrait, and loose no crispness or sharpness. Does markedly better inside and in lower light than the kit lens as well. Honestly, I think everyone should own this for their Fuji. Especially at this price, which is very reasonable and doesn’t show in terms of image or build quality. Simply put, it’s a reasonably priced, robust, Wheather sealed, and stylish little lens with great image quality.

  22. CelestialJrod

The box it came in was a little battered, so I was a bit worried. But once I opened the lens and began to use it, it produced some of the best quality photos I have seen in a lens. The images are sharp, vibrant and crisp. Great lens for outdoor photography.

  23. Serge

Amazing little lens, so much performance! Best lens for the money!

  24. Berto

My favorite wide lens, amazing autos focus and sharp images.

  25. Danny08009

This lens is light and compact, which suits the X-T3 perfectly. It’s also a good focal length for general, everyday photography. The 35mm equivalent focal length wasn’t something I was very familiar with or comfortable prior to purchasing this lens; I am usually more comfortable with a 50mm lens (35mm on Fuji).

However, I’m trying to improve as a photographer and get out of my comfort zone, so I decided to try this lens. The weather resistance is another selling point for me, since I live in a cold, snowy climate for half the year. I took this lens with me to a baseball game yesterday and had a lot of fun capturing candid shots of the fans around me. It’s very inconspicuous compared to whipping out a full frame DSLR, so I think this lens would be awesome for street photography as well.

  26. anthny

Wonderful lens, highly recommended for the Fuji X system.

  27. Denali

Bought this for my new mirrorless camera as my sole lens (only have budget for one). It has a beautiful depth and autofocus. Mainly using it for videos but the photos taken has been fantastic.

  28. Jmmc

Love this lens and fuji system. Colors are so vibrant and sharp. Good for walking around no weight

  29. JMeckens12984

Great build, super compact, weathered, this is a must have.

  30. Heather

Love this lens. Super lightweight, sharp, produces wonderful images for the price! Recently took a trip to the PNW and it was one of my most used lens’ for landscape pics.

  31. BenThere

It’s a great a lens for my xt2. I never take it off my camera. It’s responsive.

  32. Unknown

Very clean and precise image quality. Love it a lot!

  33. wedge

super sharp and fast focus. Need more time with it, but really happy so far. Does well in low light also (on T4)

  34. Wrul

This lens is an excellent 35mm equivalent. It has a nice, fast and bright aperture. It is nice and compact and pairs nicely with my x-pro 2. The weather sealing is a nice feature and hasn’t failed me yet. Overall a great, quality lens.

  35. Vld33

I Love this camera for travel and street photography. The main point I bought this WR construction.
Also this lens is true sharp.

  36. JoshuaSnaps

Great all around lens. Fits perfect with the Xpro and other X series cameras. With the 35mm full frame equivalent, this is great for walking around and doing snapshot/documentary type stuff on the daily.

  37. Great

This is a great lens especially for the price I use it everyday!

  38. Kums

Bought this lens to use as single lens travel kit with my x-t4.

I have 16-55mm f2.8 zoom which is excellent but heavy for travel use. Many times I have to leave the camera because of weight. The 23mm is right focal length to use for general purpose. I tried 35mm f2 before, which is good lens but too tight in many situation to be used as general purpose. 16mm is too wide as general purpose. My expectation from this lens is, whether it will match the image quality at f2.8 at same minimum focus distance of 16-55mm f2.8 at 23mm. Yes, image quality is pretty close in this comparison. At f2.8 and above I could not see any difference. Coming to
close focus distance 23mm f2 focus much closer than 16-55mm at 23mm which I take it as bonus feature. When focusing close I have to set it to f3.6 or more to get excellent sharp image with good bokeh. For half portrait at f2 also it is very sharp, for head shots I use f3.6 or more to get sharper image.

Overall I am very happy with this light weight, weather sealed and versatile focal length.

  39. FujiguyLAX

Sharp and solid, Im not crazy about the price but Im warming up to it.

  40. Shelly

This is a very sharp lens with nice bokeh at F2. Definitely recommend for documentary photography.

  41. StickDriver

It’s so wide that I can’t go back to normal 35mm. I love it!

Not the best for portraits though

  42. RicardoZ

Great lens! Love the build quality. The image quality is the best feature, outstanding. Definitely would buy again.

  43. Ronal

Quite an outstanding lens. Very comfortable, compact, and fast aperture. Image quality is very good and if you stop it down it get better for sure. This is the lens I needed to keep weight and size manageable.

  44. NoamShlongsky

This lens has not left my camera ever since I’ve bought it. I am in love.

  45. Tone

Love this little lens. So upset it fell into water but had geek squad protection and was able to put the store credit to another lens.

  46. Mikel

I love how small this lens is, and it’s relatively fast. It’s great for hiking or street photography and it’s weather sealed so no problems when I’ve used it hiking in the rain forests in Washington. Would recommend any Fuji shooter to give it a try.

  47. Snowmike

Great lens! A perfect focal length for walking around and travel. Wide enough for context but you can get a little compression to bring some details in as well. On a crop sensor you get a 35mm full frame equivalent with this lens which turns out, I love. F2 isn’t the best lens available for low light and portrait bokeh but the size is CONSIDERABLY smaller and makes me throw this in the bag all the time. It takes up about the same amount of space as my air blaster. Even cranking up the ISO to compensate for the smaller aperture produced great results mounted on my X-T5. Build quality is all metal, except the hood. Aperture ring has positive detents and the perfect amount of effort required to turn it. Focus ring is a little too easy for me, it doesn’t give a lot of feedback. My only major con is the odd/small filter size. Too small to use a step up ring without defeating the purpose of the small size. At least small filters are relatively cheap. Overall, an overall great lens that I’ll be using for many years to come.

  48. xdeapoet87x

This is an amazing lens and value. Well built, great qulity for much less than the competitors. Been a Canon guy for along time, however the new RF mount, etc. has priced me out of their line up. Hence, the transition to Fujifilm.

  49. Andy

    niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice

  50. Taquito

Great picture quality, a little soft on f/2 but it’s just amazing the pictures you can get
