    This is the 2nd time I have purchased this same model of Whirlpool 7 Cu. Ft Dryer. The first one was for a house I sold, and now it is for a Condo. It works great, makes no noise when operating, and is easy to use. The way the door opens is down, which is very practical and more convenient than a side door.

    The first one was dented. The second one did not work. Although it took almost a month to get the final one to work, Best Buy took away the old non-working dryer and continued to bring them over and install them until we got the one that worked. Great product…lost one star just because of the inconvenience. BUT, very helpful staff and a great product when they brought the one that works.

    I purchased a whirlpool 7 cubic foot electric dryer, Model WED 4950HW several weeks ago and have used it ever since. It has the following advantages 1) the dryer door opens down so it fit in my relatively small laundry room, 2) it is larger than my previous dryer so it should accommodate a queen size comforter, 3) it had received many positive reviews from Best Buy customers. Also it is very straight-forward to use with few extras except a moisture sensor, and it was on sale. It works very well and the ordering, delivery, and installation was excellent.

    Whirlpool dryer is great with drop down door. The lint screen is on top of dryer so no bending down. Purchase that was affordable and good quality.

    Overall a really great dryer. My two slight complaints are that when the dryer is done the buzzer noise is very loud and annoyin (you can shut it off). Also the piece that catches the lint is long and curvy, not the easiest to take out or remove the lint.

    We love our new dryer and loved the fact that we could pick it up same day. It has 3 heat settings that works well for our needs. Whirlpool is always our preferred brand and Best Buy, our preferred store.

    So far so good! Clothes dry prefect on medium heat. Quiet too. I wanted a plain dryer without all the bells and whistles. Plus the Best Buy delivery men are the nicest! Very happy!!

    I received the dryer in late November- the day after Christmas I was taking a load of laundry out and I noticed a large brown area by the right vent. Looking closer I saw that the back of the dryer was warped and bending. I exchanged it for the same model. The first day after two loads the same thing. The back of the dryer was warped and bending. I also had the electrician in 3 times. Once when my original dryer broke just to make sure it wasn’t electrical. Then after the first defective Whirlpool and then again after the second defective Whirlpool. Each time he said that everything looked good and there was no issue with my wiring or outlet. I’ve had many Whirlpool products in the past- never an issue. I’ll never buy another one again. If I could give no stars I would.

    Replacement dryer for the exact same one that started squeaking and rumbling for almost a year. Probably a pulley belt or assembly but after a year I’m sure more damage was done than the replacement cost. Plus took over 3 cycles (3 hrs) to dry a load. This one is a champ. Very quiet, dries quick, has a light, and got on sale. Was going to go with the LG model that matches my new washer but LG has no light and is a bit smaller sq. Ft inside. The light is the selling point for me. I stay up late doing laundry and it’s a must.

    I got this specifically because of how the door opens down instead of opening left and right. I am very familiar with the brand whirlpool as it is affordable and fairly easy to fix
