  1. Stavros

I bought it in September. Was told delivery by October 21, then November 9th, then November 10th then early December and now mid December. You get my point.

  2. upseteliteconsumer

Takes very long to dry. The upside is no exhaust needed.

  3. JulieS

Worst experience ever! Do not buy this dryer. First, you’ll never get it. It took 5 months to deliver after month after month of delays and lies. Ventless dryers do not work. It takes almost 90 minutes to dry one load.

  4. Buddy33

Best Ventless Dryer out there. Size is the biggest ventless I know.

  5. Amazing

This product works great. We have an interior laundry room with no direct vent access. One solution was to install a turbo fan and vent the exhaust through a second story wall. This dryer requires no venting and uses heat pump technology. The 7.4 cu ft model can handle large loads and the drying time is not much longer than a vented dryer, without the heat and humidity. A little noisier than a regular dryer, but an overall great product. Highly recommend.

  6. Redhead

Takes a very long time to dry and sometimes clothes still not dry.

  7. Mary

You can put this dryer anywhere in your house. It does not need to be vented. The installation is a breeze, and it needs no duct cleaning ever! This amazing Heat Pump Dryer is finally available here in America. This advanced economical type of dryer has been available in other countries for a long time. Huge 7.4 cubic foot capacity. It dries clothes to perfection without cooking your clothes. There are 2 filters which are easy to reach and clean. It is more expensive that a regular electric dryer, but it is definitely worth it.

In an ideal world, I wouldn’t spend an entire month’s mortgage payment on a dryer, but if you’re looking at this unit, you probably don’t have many options. If you’re looking for a full size ventless dryer, this is literally your only option on the market right now. Other reviews point out that as a ventless dryer, it takes much longer to dry clothes than a traditional vented dryer (which is true). Other reviews indicated that it was loud, but I haven’t really noticed a difference compared to vented dryers I’ve had in the past. Overall, it does its job well and I’m happy with it, but if I didn’t specifically need a full size ventless dryer, I’d go with a much cheaper option.

Also, when ordering, I didn’t realize that the dryer needed to be connected to a drain/water source in order to actually work, and neither did the Best Buy workers who came to set up the unit. We ended up getting a plumber to make an extra connection to our water line, but please keep that in mind and read the manual before operating!

  9. Anna

Great dryer works as to be expected and it is not too loud!

  10. Germs

I love my new heat pump dryer. First, you need to understand what you are getting with this dryer. If you are unfamiliar with heat pump dryers, do some research. I wanted a heat pump dryer because I live in a condo. Heat pump dryers are more energy efficient and do not blow air into your living space. Instead the dryer is connected to a drain. There is no vent. The drawback is that clothes take longer to dry, but it is also less harsh on your clothes. Now that I’ve used the dryer a few times, I really don’t understand what other people are complaining about. I’ve never experienced my clothes not drying. It’s takes longer, but they come out dry and the moisture does not go back into them if you let them sit in the dryer. The negative reviews about this dryer all seem to be based on misconceptions. This is the best dryer for condos because it allows you to fit a full size machine in a condo closet. You do not need extra space for venting. If you live in a condo with kids, then you need this dryer. Just understand what you are buying.

  11. Raymondc

Wonderful ventless system will take longer to dry items but excellent quality without need for venting

  12. Bjbones

Received the dryer yesterday. Geek Squad did a great job.
Tried the dryer out on a couple of blankets but wouldn’t dry them all the way on auto. Had to put it on timef load so it wouldn’t turn off too soon. Will call Whirlpool and see of we can get this figured out

  13. McFl

Great dryer, exceeded my expectations. Very well built and easy to use.

  14. Bryan

Works well but drying time is mildly long vs other full size units

  15. Vivi

Drying takes longer than a regular vented drier, but at the end of the day, it does dry the clothes.

  16. Waltmagnum

    Nice and easy to use.
works well and has a nice look to it.

  17. problems

Dryer is very heavy for a stackable dryer. It has two lint screens, one needs to be washed every five loads. The drain line does not tighten and leaks on the floor. The dryer overheats if too close to the wall.

  18. kamanimal

Let’s get this out of the way first: ventless dryers take longer to dry than vented dryers. So if you buy this dryer, you need to go in with that expectation. This is not a defect in this particular dryer. However, while being slower, ventless dryers still use less energy and are also safer for your clothes because they generally dry at lower temperatures.

If you live in an apartment, a ventless dryer may be your only option. Most ventless dryers are very small, meaning you have to run many more loads to get through all of your laundry. This dryer is the only one where you don’t have to make that compromise. The fact that it has almost twice the capacity of most ventless dryers is an absolute game changer. With that size, it still fits inside a closet that is 34″ deep.

The dryer is easy to use and dries completely, which is more than I can say for our previous dryer, which often required running a load twice. With this one, put it in auto mode, put dryness level to the highest, and let it go. When it says it’s done, your clothes and even your towels will be all dry.

The dryer is a bit loud, so if you are sensitive to sound, that is something to keep in mind. We don’t find it overwhelming and the benefits far outweigh this one issue. Another recommendation: there are two lint filters, one inside under the door and one in a drawer that you have to pull out. The manual says you only need to clean the latter once every five loads. However, we have found it gets quite full and can benefit from being emptied after every load.

Overall, you can’t go wrong with this dryer and I’d recommend it enthusiastically!

  19. Jane

TAKES LONGER than a vented dryer. Has 2 filters to clean. WILL make small room humid. NEEDS a place to drain. Make sure you get the hose with it. No one carries it but whirlpool.

  20. Jonathan

Bought it <1 year ago. Dry time has gradually gotten longer. A tech came out & said the compressor (like on an AC) is clogged with lint, so there's little airflow.  I clean both lint filters & the housing for the second filter, but lint still got through. Cleaning the compressor requires taking apart the machine & removing the drum (bad design). Whirlpool says it's my problem & not covered by warranty. So, I need to pay a tech $450/year to clean the compressor. Bad design, worthless warranty.

  21. JosephK

Less than 3 months after I bought this dryer the motor and blower need to be replaced. Of course it’ll be at least 2 week before the parts are available, if we’re lucky.
This and the companion washer are the first appliances I’ve bought an extended warranty for because I could tell they’re cheaply made.
The one good point is that is does keep the moisture in the laundry room to a minimum.

  22. Jude

Great drier. Works well and it is ventless. Fits in the needed space.

  23. TayNixster

I have had this dryer for over a year, and it has craped out.

Every time I try to dry something in the last two weeks I am given a different error code. I am going to toss this junk out and get an old-school dryer.

  24. FranciscoB

This ventless dryer is very good and very easy to use,I don’t have to clean ducts anymore

  25. YutakaH

After two years, the dryer started to show error code ‘F9 E2’, which is a drain pump error, and stop drying each time. It was annoying. Finally, we decided to hire an electrician at Whirlpool website. It costed about $700. I realized this error is very common. Just do not buy this.
