Luda –
Needed smaller unit for condo so options limited.
This unit works well for small areas.

After waiting 6 weeks for delivery, the dryer was installed and did not heat and was making a loud “clunking” noise. I was told by Customer Service that this was a rare occurrence. I went to the store and returned both washer and dryer and selected another brand.
Patrick –
It takes to long to dry towels has no air vent thats why
TVstand –
Received a defective washing machine, so I ended up returning both units and going with another brand.

Drys really well on some settings, but I haven’t figured out how to change the dry settings even using the manual. Sometimes have to run it through 2x. There’s a water reservoir that needs to be emptied each time. I like the reminder light to remind you to empty the lint.
Kumar –
It takes about 3-4 hours to dry the clothes and still it is damp. Even thought we have tired all the settings. Either we have a defective product or the product does not work well. I have scheduled an appointment from best buy service team to check the product. I will update the review again after the service team visits my house.
MrMc –
It took 4.5 hours to dry 2 sheets. Unless you have unlimited time a d patience to dry your clothes, don’t think about this machine.
Katieee9 –
These are great! I love the fact that they are small but still goes the work amazing!
Guido –
Right size, right price for what I needed. Purchase washer months before.

I was unhappy with the performance of this dryer. I did not realize it would take 2 hours to dry one queen size sheet or a very small load of cottons. There are too many digital control options. Sometimes technology is great but other times it gets in the way of ease of use.

We bought the companion washing machine a couple of months back out of the box and been patiently waiting to find this dryer out of the box at a nearby BestBuy ever since. Now that we have the unit, we couldn’t be happier! Whirlpool really has outdone itself with this compact washer and dryer pair. The dryer uses a heat pump and smart technology to offer an amazingly efficient drying system! The unit does require reading the user manual as the technology is not conventional. Clothes are dried at a much cooler temperature, therefore nothing shrinks, colors don’t fade, and overall you’ve saved some money on your electricity bill. Additionally, the unit has the option to drain extracted water or put it in a reservoir. We chose to use the reservoir and recycle the water extracted for other non potable purposes! Excellent, compact, and innovative dryer.

Dryer has many options to chose from on drying your clothes.
Mamabeareri –
This dryer is wonderful! It is easy to operate and clean. Very satisfied with it.
Cals –
Would like to exchange for another brand. Can not use bleach wth washer.

I’ve owned Whirlpool in the past, and even purchased some of the newer big appliances with a lot of electronics in them, but whirlpool is still the best. The newer electronics-heavy appliances are not that great… they’re really just big toys. If you want a product that works and does what it is supposed to do, get Whirlpool. You won’t be disapppointed.
Tamster –
The dryer works well but the washer broke after 1 month.
plds –
Really like the efficiency of this heat pump dryer, but one must expect a difference in this versus a “normal” dryer. It does take longer to dry items and two filters to clean. Love the setting for bulky/bedding and the size of the drum for a compact unit.
Sunshine –
I use other Whirlpool stack washer & dryers and am always pleased. This dryer being ventless requires dumping a container of condensate after drying clothes. I still prefer the vented dryers, but the dryer works if no vent is available.
kahunna –
This is perfect for two of us, takes up very little space, easy to use and lots of features we did not have in our old Dryer
Ramy –
Bought this for the “Granny flat”. While small it is functional for the space we don’t have, which is perfect. Small footprint to get small jobs done.
AIR2020 –
bought this dryer in Feb 2020,,wasnt able to get it installed until 5/14/20.
Already had the geek squad here to fix an annoying buzzing (was a cover in the back)
Now the dryer is dead, showing a F01 error code,,wont run at all. This is less than 2 weeks after installation, and 5-6 loads of laundry.
Spent almost 3 hours on the phone today trying to get a replacement.Local store says they dont have it,,site says it can be delivered next week. After getting hung up on,given wrong numbers to call (never seemed to be their dept, had to talk to someone else)finally got to someone that would help me,,, supposedly I will be getting a new one next week,,,we’ll see 🙁

Does everything a larger dryer does but with smaller space.
ERsMom –
I had a space limitation so my choices were few…and the other options were unavailable for several weeks. It is far from efficient. As I submit this it has taken over 6 hours to dry a cotton blanket…I am so disappointed.
palmevy –
first problem, delivery didnt show up. 2nd problem, delivery without manual and door opener is wrong side. 3rd problem- they came for to fix the door and it took 2 hrs to just change the opening of the door and there were 2 of them.4th problem is the manual still nothing, we ended up going back to best buy to have them print us one. now the problem is the dryer toke 3 hrs to dry a sheets, and it come out damp dry. so disappointed, All the troubles, best buy could care less and all they say is sorry, sorry dont help. and now we are planning to return it back and go some where than best buy.
Genius –
It was the wrong size so they had to reorder again.
Smiley –
This Whirlpool dryer works great so far. I wanted a smaller size appliance, and this dryer, like m my washer, filled my order. Love the automatic adjustments to the size of one’s load and the amount of time to dry that load.
Happycustomer –
The only reason why I gave this dryer a 4 star is because it takes a lot longer to dry clothes than dryers with a vent but it is perfect for small spaces.
Easyed –
So far so good. So different from conventional washer and dryer
Lynn –
I live in a very small mother-in-law type apartment so space is critical. I was concerned that this small unit would not handle a full load of laundry, it works beautifully. It’s also much quieter than the unit that had been here.
Barndog –
Works very well. The filters need cleaned often and drying times are a little longer than traditional dryers, but still a very good product.
hank –
We really like this device. One funny thing about it…it doesn’t have a lint exhaust but instead has a drawer you empty. Honestly, I wish all dryers had this since out you have to be careful and always make certain your lint exhaust pipes are clear.
ReviewWhirlpool –
I received this washer after I had to return a lemon LG washer . Whirlpool was always my first choice and I am very very pleased .
Munky –
Amazing dryer! Once you figure out the requirements that go along with a ventless setup, it’s all gravy!
Janet –
My experience with this dryer and with Whirlpool has not been pleasant. The bottom filter on the dryer is very flawed. It doesn’t trap the lint well, so the metal heat element behind the filter gets clogged and is impossible to reach. I had serious concerns about a fire starting, so I wrote to Whirlpool…three times. Two of those times they didn’t bother to respond. The time they did respond, they simply sent me a copy of the owner’s manual, which I already had, and which didn’t address my complaint. For the price of this machine one should get both excellent customer service and parts that work properly. Unfortunately, this dryer doesn’t measure up, and the customer service is horrible.

This dryer has a lot of problems and is too expensive for what it is:
1. The dryer does not dry anything, even small loads. The dryer runs all day long and at the end of it, everything is still wet. A small load of 1 sheet took 6 cycles (i.e. 6 hours) to be even be close to dry.
2. The sensor is off and the dryer needs to constantly be monitored. It will randomly stop when the clothes are still wet.
3. The filters (there are 2) of the dryer get clogged and need to be constantly deep cleaned. Emptying after each cycle is not enough, you need to use detergent to get it from being baked on.
Horrible –
Item was sold as open box satisfactory, but when I brought home wasn’t not even fair. was very used full of dents and scratches, Horrible, returned it on the next day.
Tinman –
Takes some getting used too, but as an alternative to vented dryers, it is awesome. Performs well above my expectations.
Sarah –
nearly useless, have to empty the water storage tank after every use
CObuyer –
Takes FOREVER to dry. I had this in an apartment where ventless was the only option and it is terrible. I now inherited it a second time in a different home and it is equally terrible. I would NEVER recommend this.
Best –
Staff is great, polite and knowledgeable. I will return.
Careful –
Used this dryer twice and now we get a component error when we try to use it so upset to pay this much for a dryer and it not to work.
Richie –
I don’t recommend this product it was bought on 02/2020 and this is the second time I have to get this product repair. This is an inconvenience.
HNLUSER –
This unit has required a lot of service in the short time owned. The motherboard has been replaced several times. Based on the performance of this machine, it is unlikely that I will purchase another Whirlpool appliance.
efficienthome –
Capacity is small but we knew that going in. Biggest problem is that it has a major lint issue. I clean regular lint filter w/each load and I clean lower lint filter when red light comes on to tell me to do so. However when I lift the regular lint collector inside dryer I pull gobs and gobs of lint from down below it. This is messed up. When I take the foam lint collector out from down below to clean as instructed there is a metal grate that is totally clogged with lint. Each month I spend 45 mins- 1 hour on the floor w/ my vacuum cleaner and a toothpick trying to pick the lint out of the grate so that air can get thru and dry my clothes in a reasonable amount of time. Otherwise it gets totally clogged and my clothes take forever to dry and it is prob hard on the motor. This will be 2nd time I have had to call in the extended warranty…maybe I have a lemon or maybe this is normal?
ksflem –
Very different type of dryer than most of us are used. Takes longer to dry, but less energy supposedly. Too soon to tell, especially with winter increasing electricity costs. Requires a lot more hookup for water drainage than a traditional dryer.
TRA2019 –
This is the right machine for the right space. We needed a ventless dryer in a tight space in our home. Be ready to empty the water tank with each load and do not use dryer sheets, they clog the fine screen and can reduce performance.
Mary –
I love my dryer it’s ventless fits underneath my counter love it!
Kman –
I got this as a scratch n dent special. It worked but i had to tear it apart to pound the dents out so it’d quit rockin and rolling once it was turned on. Otherwise a great deal for an 1100dollar dryer.
Christian –
This is a super small unit. Only good if you live alone and don’t do much laundry, it’s a cheap until only lasts five years then craps out. Not built very well either, no matter what you put in there it will always knock when the drum spins, HARD it’s a really noisy machine. But it does do the job.
HunterB –
This was by far worth it. It was affordable and works fantastically.
