    This trim kit is good to make the microwave fit as a built in. We had to play with the installation to make sure the microwave door open as it should be. But it’s a good fit. Nice

    We ended it returning this trim kit; it didn’t work well with our set; too big. tried the smaller trim kit also, but that was too big as well. gave it 3 stars for average since we didn’t use it.

    The front of the trim is stainless steel which is perfect. The sides are black plastic which makes it look cheap. I would not recommend it. The sides of my oven that it sits over is stainless steel. It’s a big difference and eye sore.

    The trim kit for our new microwave was very easy to install and looks good. The stainless doesn’t show fingerprints.

    Bought it when I had to replace my microwave. It works well, but it doesn’t sit flush on the cabinet the way the previous version did. It also is plastic vs the previous frame was metal.

    Not sure to blame Best Buy or Whirlpool on this. I purchased a new microwave from Best Buy and purchased suggested trim kit. When I went to install it would not fit. I contacted Whirlpool and was told this is wrong trim kit for microwave I purchased.

    Make sure you double check you have correct trim kit for your needs.

    This is perfect for the Whirlpool 1.6 Cu. Ft. Microwave. It seems like a little feature, but it amplifies the whole look of your kitchen. Its modern design matches my microwave perfectly, and I make no regrets for this purchase!!!!

    This trim kit is really poor quality. It is silver painted on plastic. It is not stainless steel and does not match the stainless steel face of the KitchenAide microwave it is paired with or other KitchenAide stainless steel appliances in our kitchen. It is not even painted silver on the top, bottom or sides. It also has gaps on the top, bottom and sides. In contrast, the trim piece paired with the prior KitchenAide microwave we installed in 2007 was stainless steel, was flush to the wall on all sides and exactly matched the microwave and our other KitchenAide stainless steel ovens and range. The drop off in quality is severe. Unfortunately, our old stainless steel trim piece will not fit with the closest current model KitchenAide microwave. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with the low quality and appearance of of this item!

    This trim kit was used for Whirlpool – 1.6 Cu. Ft. Full-Size Microwave – Stainless steel. Originally bought trim kit Whirlpool – Microwave Trim Kit for Most 30″ Microwaves – Black-on-Stainless-Steel but it didn’t fit. It’s a standard trim kit and works great without issues.

    Trim kit fits nice on my whirlpool microwave. It doesn’t show fingerprints and is easy to clean. Only drawback it’s a bit pricey.
