    I have owned this about one month and really like it so far. The only negative thing is that when it dunking ice and refilling the tray with water it is loud…but that is the only fault I have with it and now that I am use to the noise it no longer bothers me.

    This is a great refrigerator with lots of storage in both the freezer and on the refrigerator side with an updated black stainless steel modern appearance. It is a very solid built fridge. The doors close and seal firmly and I love the handles! The handles are a lighter color and are shiny and comfortable to use. The fact that they are curved is great because that means I don’t walk into them.  The ice compartment in the freezer is great and makes plenty of ice and is easily accessible for pulling out the bucket of ice if needed. For cons, I would say a couple of things are that: it is not completely fingerprint proof, and I use a microfiber cloth often on the handled so they don’t stsin with fingerprints. Also, I had to adjust the temperature inside the refrigerator to 35° in order for the refrigerator to be cold on all of the shelves because when it was at the preset temperature of 37°, one of the lower shelves was heading towards 40° according to my thermometer. It does keep everything nice and cold which is a plus, I would also say that when you push against the dispenser for ice that you have to push fairly hard and some young kids may have trouble getting ice. Overall, I am very pleased with the refrigerator, and it was perfect for my kitchen! Best Buy delivery guys were great! Thsnk you!

    So far not so good. Found a leak the first day of use. Compressor is very loud. Ice in the door is nice but sounds like a wood chipper. Best buy has been great to work with though. They are handling everything for me

    Got this refrigerator this week and thought everything was great. Then two days later, I notice the hardwood around the refrigerator is warping. Had Geek Squad come out and it was coming from inside the refrigerator, they showed me how the connection was completely dry. It was leaking internally. Now I’ll have to have my floor repaired. I had researched and decided to continue to use Whirlpool as I’ve had luck with them in the past. Obviously their quality has changed. Very disappointed.

    The fridge is great! The delivery guys were amazing. But it came with a scratch (gouge) that was not there when I saw it. I’ve called 3 times and got disconnected.

    Our old refrigerator gave us the ghost last year and we needed a new one that fit very specific guidelines and this was the perfect one! It fits perfectly into the place we needed and holds all of our groceries (and more!). We had best buy deliver and install and the process was great (except for refusing to take away the old one, but they helped us get it to the side of the road and a neighbor came and took it.) It’s easy to clean, and the filter for the water and ice is easy and quick to change and is pretty quiet while making ice. Over all 10/10

    Extremely happy with this refrigerator so far! It has plenty of room and looks great in my kitchen. Purchased this Whirlpool to replace a Samsung that the compressor went out in. Although it was covered under warranty, I am still trying to get the warranty honored (8 weeks later!!!). The place where I bought it has been no help at all either (won’t mention the home improvement store’s name). Lesson learned and will be using Best Buy to replace all my appliances from here on out!!! Even the delivery guys were professional and helpful – way more than the previously used home improvement delivery team! Delivery was on time & Best Buy delivery crew was fast & courteous!!! I went ahead & purchased the Best Buy Geek Squad 5 year protection plan with this appliance so I now feel confident that if I do have any issue with it that it will be taken care of by Best Buy without all the stress.

    Suffers from a painfully low-volume ice-maker. The ice tray in this unit will produce 10 small cubes per cycle. The frequency of “a cycle” is the issue, as it is SLOW. I have included a photo below of the ice production over an uninterrupted 11 hour period. Maybe 30 to 40 ice cubes. This does not support a family of 3, in daily usage.

    Upon contacting Whirlpool, a service representative was sent out. Their solution was to replace the ice maker. The result was zero change in performance. Today marked out second visit from the service rep. They had no resolution, and thus got on the phone with Whirlpool for possible solutions. Per the Whirlpool rep, “it is a small ice-maker, good for about 100 to 120 cubes per day”. I have included the documentation from the service representative, essentially saying that slow ice production is “normal” for this model.

    If you are a single person household, this may be adequate for your needs. Otherwise, my recommendation is that you avoid this unit.

    My opinion is nobody should buy this fridge. The icemaker in this fridge has all kinds of problems. If you don’t use ice fast enough it starts to settle and compact where it gets to point of settling together too much into a pack of ice, and stops letting any come out of fridge. You have to empty it out, defrost ice maker area and try again. We use ice daily, so should not be a problem. This happens every few months though. We have had the ice maker replaced twice due to the water in tray freezing up and not releasing the cubes. It burns out motor on ice tray it the point of burning it out, which is why it has to be replaced. This is also a whirlpool known problem. This last time our ice maker stopped working we were told it is now a wiring problem. Had a whirlpool service provider do some splicing on the wiring but stated if that didn’t last then we would have to buy a new door which would cost $1000 and would not be covered by warranty. After 2 weeks it has stopped working again. Apparently this fridge has a known defect on the icemaker wiring in the door. The wiring in door has separated over time due to the positioning in the door. As the door opens and closes it tugs at the wires. Apparently whirlpool knows about this defect, but not doing anything about it and it’s not covered past the 1 year warranty. Spoke with whirlpool representative today and all I got was sorry for your frustration but nothing covered.

    I would give it zero stars if I could. Our ice maker stopped working after only 3 years of having this refrigerator, and it ended up being due to wires becoming severed from opening and closing the door. Whirlpool did nothing to remedy this. We were quoted $1600 to fix it, which is essentially the cost of a new refrigerator. This is a known issue, and a recall needs to be initiated.

    We have a family of 6 & cook a lot – we need a ton of fridge space. This fridge is huge! We also use loads of ice & this tiny ice maker keeps up with us! The only thing I don’t care for, is that it scratches easily when magnets slide down and the doors aren’t level. The leveling tool wasn’t included, so I need to figure out where to get one.

    This replaced a Whirlpool that was close to same exterior dimensions, but this one offers another 3 cubic feet of interior storage, which has been great! Some negative reviews mentioned lack of ice, but after I hooked it up, I enabled the fast ice option and had a mostly full bin the next day. In the month since then we’ve always had plenty of ice for our family of six which probably averages 50-60 pieces of ice throughout the day. We’ll see how the longevity works out for us: the fridge we replaced is still working fine after 14 years, but we wanted some extra space, which we’ve definitely gotten with this fridge. Very happy with this purchase so far!

    Size and color are great. The quality of build seems to be lacking. Freezer door offset from frame. Unable to adjust in the field. Ice maker extremely slow and leaking. They can do better with this one. Bad day on the assembly line?
