    Our new Whirlpool 26.2 Cu. Ft 4-Door French Door refrigerator exceeds our expectations. It is so spacious and we are still finding new storages spaces in it. The LED lighting all around gives a bright, classy feel. Love the removable ice bin in the door. It met all of our “must haves” in a fridge. The finish is gorgeous with fingerprint resistant stainless steel. Really like the freezer on the bottom, and the extra drawer for often used item makes it most efficient. Happy in every way!

    I love the design, but this is the worst appliance with regards to the reliability. 1 year warranty, Ice maker died during this time and Whirlpool replaced. I wish I purchased an extended warranty. I ended up replacing the icemaker again, and now the seal cooling system on the fritz. Repair estimate is $2,200 for entire cooling system to be replaced as the tech says they are just guessing where the leak is if they don’t replace the entire system. I want to buy the same fridge because of the design, but I’m not going to shell out $3,300 twice for such an unreliable product. I’ve tried contacting Whirlpool through facebook, but so far no reply!!

    I bought this refrigerator at the end of 2017. I was thoughtful and thankful that i purchased the Geek Squad protection (3 year plan). Every year from the purchase date there has been issues. From ice maker not making ice (multiple years), the LED lights not illuminating inside the refrigerator when the doors are ajared (multiple years), to the defrost motor not working causing the refrigerator not to cool. Now the lights will not illuminate on the sides of my refrigerator and i do not have any Geek Squad protection left (wish i would have purchased the 5 year plan). I paid too much money for the refrigerator for it not to function properly. I called Whirlpool customer service for assistance and trouble shooting since they are LED and should not require replacing which they were unable to assist me without calling someone out to service it (which would be a charge). I will not purchase Whirlpool products again.

    Bought this basic refrigerator in 2015 had it totally replaced under extended warranty in May of 2019, today April 2022 have it replaced again under extended warranty. Awesome refrigerator when it runs… but replacing twice in seven years? Glad I bought extended warranty…Also have to pay sales tax and buy new warranty when replacing so another $500 out of pocket

    I’ve liked this refrigerator since I saw it at a friends home. I love how roomy and elegant it looks. I had a smaller counterdepth Whirlpool and had no problems with it either, but preferred this one, because of how roomy it is and best of all the ice maker is on the door. The other one has a ice maker that took up space from the shelves. Very happy with my purchase

    Loved it while it was working but now less than 4 years old and it’s dead!!! Called for Geek Squad 3 times for a repair appointment and the Rep disconnected me 3 times. The 4th time recording said sorry, we’re now closed. This all after we purchased 2 LGs that went out at end of warranty!! Buying at Best Buy way too expensive- are they selling seconds????

    I wouldnt buy any other Brand but Whirlpool after all the issues we had with other brands getting to this point
    Very happy with the performance and ease of access to the controls. The stainless steel exterior is very easy to care for and doesnt show constant fingerprints..Overall quite satisfied to this point

    Love this refrigerator! It’s well designed, the extra pull out drawers in the refrigerator and freezer are roomy and very useful. The ice maker and water dispenser is great. Prior to our purchase I read comments from others that the ice maker is noisy. I I don’t agree with that comment. The other refrigerators we had had ice makers that were noisier than this one.

    I only had new refrigerator for 1 month have problems with ice maker not working and frost buildup in freezer, but the refrigerator is beautiful just have issues that hopefully get corrected soon because it looks beautiful in my kitchen

    I recommend avoiding this fridge. Initially I was very pleased with the fridge and all of its features. However, less than two years after purchase the LED lights in the fridge and the freezer failed. I had them repaired for over $700. Two months later, I opened the door, the lights flickered for a few seconds and then the entire fridge failed and is no longer working.

    We bought this unit and all we got is head ache. It worked for 11 months and then the ice machine started leaking. After several hours the freezer is not working anymore. The unit itself is a lemon. If you want to waste your money then this unit is for you. We called the call center 3 weeks ago and have scheduled to be serviced two Thursday ago. Then we hot a call that it has be rescheduled due to typhoon ian, another week passes heard nothing and got a call that it ihas to rescheduled for the second time. Come Tuesday I confirmed that i will be here to attend then on the day of the scheduled visit got a call in the morning that it has be rescheduled again. This is the third time that the service provider has to cancel the service. Overall it is a complte waste of hard earned money and all we got is bad service and bad fridge.

    Less than 2 years old and the ice maker is failing. It makes ice, then the ice melted in the bucket and drops water all over the interior of the fridge and on the floor. It’s bed doing this from day one, i just thought it was due to Florida heat and humidity. This is our second fridge of this model, first one had no problems. We’re done with Whirlpool.

    Ice maker never did operate very well..completely stopped producing ice less than two years after purchase. First the fan was replaced, didn’t work. Then the whole electric board was replaced, didn’t work. Then I was told it was probably the Freon leaking and that could be refilled but problem would continue at about $500. Per refill.
    Lights stopped working in top of unit about the same time. Could not be repaired according to serviceman.

    Within the first month the LED circuit board goes out and there’s no lighting in the main area. The most simplest function decides to go out. The gasket for the french door is noot that durable. Less rhan 5 years afo and the seals are starting to crack and go bad. The door sealing slide bracket is sticking and the doors wont completely close with a bit of forethought of which door the bracket is on.

    We like the fridge and has so much usable space but the Ice maker is broke and the turn around time to get it fixed is looking like 6 weeks. That’s really sad, if It wasn’t so hard to get in my house I would return it

    This refrigerator kept freezing over inside the back area causing it from keeping cool. The lighting kept messing up. I had at least 9 service calls on it since we’ve owned it. I wouldn’t recommend this product. One of your technicians said it wasn’t made right. He said they use the wrong type of materials on the inside backside.

    The refrigerator died after 90 days. Apparently it was leaking coolant. It could not be returned since it was past 90 days. The repairman said it would take two months to get the part and see if it fixes the issue. Whirlpool does not appear to be interested in supporting this product. See whirlpool website for multiple, apparently unresolved, complaints.

    Purchased this unit as part of a major remodel, along with a Whirlpool dishwasher and cooktop. This unit has great storage and for the most part, I love it. However, I have great concern of a couple things–primary concern is the occasional really loud noise that sounds very much like a bad compressor. It doesn’t happen everyday, but when it does, it has my attention. Another concern–items in the front (pizza storage) of the freezer door do not seem to freeze as much as it should be; freezing is not uniform in this drawer. I lowered the freezer temp to -3F. Last concern/comment is about the water/ice lever: a tremendous amount of pressure must be used here to dispense water/ice. This unit was installed a little less than 4 months ago, and am now wondering if I made a poor choice. I have always been a fan of Whirlpool products, but $3K+ warrants a better product.

    After two years, the ice maker stopped working well, but it was just out of warranty. Then the LED lights started acting up…sometimes working, sometimes not. About the same time the freezer started being temperamental. We only keep things in there that are ok to defrost a bit from time to time…no raw meat, etc. Also a plastic drawer front has cracked and broken in the freezer. Just the ice maker repairs were going to cost $600 for parts and labor. Wish we would have purchased the extended warranty. It’s four years old and we need to replace it.

    The fridge is great and comes with a lot of features, the measured water fill is great and makes it easy to fill up a water while getting other things around. The fridge has a lot of storage space, only down side is the smaller ice machine but not too bad.

    The most expensive appliance I ever bought has malfunctioned 3 times in 15 months. 1st- wouldn’t cool/freeze for over 2 days after installed. 2nd-refrigerator froze after a few months. I am attributing that to the ice maker in refrigerator section(bad idea), when I turned off the ice maker it normalized. 3rd- 15 months old freezer coils froze and all sections thawed. I found out getting ice(melted and water came out). I unplugged 5 min and after plugging in, defrost cycle started. I had to empty freezer and pull off door and drawers and wipe all water and ice coating freezer compartment. The temps normalized that night. Checked service mode and FC thermistor reports good. I guess main board problem. IDK if it will auto defrost today or not. And don’t have tech sheet to manually start if it doesn’t. It is great if it works but why ice maker in fridge? I turn ice off when we leave town. I should have listened to non promotion reviews.
    I’m sure the reply will be I’m sorry to hear… (but we got your $ now SUCKER) contact us…(I did and couldn’t even get a tech sheet that was missing)

    We purchased a whirlpool fridge while renovating a historic 1920s home. It was a full renovation (took the house down to studs!) and construction was repeatedly delayed due to issues outside our control. We ended up installing the fridge just over a year after we purchased it – new out the box it made a thunking noise in the fan and didn’t produce ice. After going back and forth with customer service for almost two weeks, they told us that they wouldn’t extend the warranty because it was a renovation and not new construction, but had it been a new construction, they would honor the warranty… which makes NO SENSE! So frustrating as we provided proof we had just installed it new from box. So now I have a brand new $3,000 fridge that needs almost a thousand dollars in repair and all whirlpool will do is give us 25% off a new appliance. They clearly don’t stand behind their product or care that their brand new product doesn’t work.
