A bit expensive for it’s size. Also seems to scratch easily when magnets are put on it. It’s unfortunate considering most people put magnets on their fridge. In addition, the produce bins don’t slide well and there is no butter/cheese shelf for the door.

replaces a 1996 top freezer model. this is a much nicer fridge. shelves are split and adjustable, as are the door containers. It doesn’t have a “butter” container with cover, but I haven’t noticed (didn’t really use it in the old fridge). freezer drawer is different than I’m used to but it appears to have more room. I took out the icemaker which was a pain but gives it more space (I don’t have a water hookup).

This purchase was a downsize from an older top-freezer, wider unit. I had to go to this size (30″ wide and 65.5″ high) to squeeze it into my condo kitchen. I lost some square footage but it was well worth it.
Unit is very handy with the bottom-freezer; no more bending down. Shelves very accessible and I feel I can use every square inch of space.
Freezer is more than adequate. I don’t even use the ice-maker because with trays I don’t have to listen to the ice-making noise.
There are simply not many 65.5 ” high units. It saved me from cutting into the cabinets. I am extremely pleased.

Paid for haul away on old unit…unknown computer glitch canceled that appt.. rescheduled but not til AFTER new unit came. Delv personnel wouldn’t move the old unit until my son in law paid them to move to the porch. Then the rescheduled haulaway never happened..called and said they were on the way, but never showed. Nobody from Best Buy ever contacted us about the missed haulaway. Some service you got there…
Hope –
It was very difficult to find a fridge that fit into the small space in our kitchen, so it didn’t feel like we had a lot of choices, but in the end I’m really happy that we ended up with this one! Keeps food cold like it should, and the ice maker was very easy to hook up to the water supply. For being a small fridge, it can hold a decent amount of food, although the freezer can fill up quickly since the ice maker takes up a good-sized portion of it.
My one complaint is that it was far more difficult and stressful to switch the fridge handle to the other side than it should have been, solely because the holes on the front are filled in with tiny plastic screws, which are far too easy to strip the heads of. If you need to swap the handle, be VERY careful taking out the plastic screws or you’ll have a big headache!!
All in all, however, a good purchase and I am glad we settled on this one. Seems like it will last a good long while.

We have had this refrigerator for about a month now. We are enjoying it. Love the bottom freezer. Would have liked an egg spot but getting use to using it with the carton of eggs. Also a butter spot would have been nice. Had always had one before so still figuring that out. Overall am not disappointed.

Poor service. Refrigerator is fine but too small. Spen’ t 3 hrs, being transferred to several agents and was able to finde just what I needed. They email me there were coming with a different one that was 3 1/2 to large, so asked for someone who knew what they were doing. They sent areal nice person but all he could do was measure the space and tht’s the last time I hear from them. Tried calling, but the agent was in the middle of south América. Haven’t heard from them in weeks.

After a minor operator-error issue I discovered that the Best Buy Total Tech plan cannot be used until the manufacturer’s warranty has expired. I was not told this during the purchase despite discussing the Total Tech plan at length with the salesman. I then spent over 2 hours on hold for the Whirlpool repair department. To register the product I spent almost 45 minutes on hold waiting to get through to Whirlpool. The freezer section has a big drawer now instead of a door with a shelf, and it seems that a lot of freezer space has been lost. The grill that needs to be removed in order to vacuum the coils no longer snaps on, but is attached with screws that are difficult to access without lying down on the floor.

You don’t realize how small the freezer portion is until you try and stock it. The doors swing open hard and fast so make sure that they’re not by a counter because it will hit. Learned to hard way.

I bought the Whirlpool Refrigerator model WRB329DMBM on 15 Sept 2022 (but not at Best Buy). I had two issues within the 1st three weeks. Both were fixed under the warranty. The first issue was the refrigerator made a loud “buzzing sound” when the compressor started to run. The problem was found to be the back panel in the freezer section, which was touching the coolant coils. The technician fixed this by applying a few strips of foam insulation on the backside of the panel. This repair required the removal of both freezer baskets, the freezer door, the freezer fan cover, and then the freezer back panel. Not a job for the amateur, in my view. The 2nd issue I had was the temperature of the refrigerator was wanting to stay at 41 degrees F and the freezer at 4 degrees F. This was at the default temperature settings of #4 for both the refrigerator and the freezer. Setting the freezer at #5 made it go down to -4 degrees F but had no effect on the refrigerator temperature. Setting the refrigerator at #5 or #6 did not affect the temperature much past the 41-degree F mark. The technician solved the problem by resetting the refrigerator down 2 notches using the control board in the diagnostic mode. He did not do any adjustment to the Freezer section. So, with the refrigerated and freezer both set at #5, I now have stable temperatures as follows: Freezer = -4F; Refrigerator = 36F on the 2nd self (1st shelf above the crisper); it quickly goes back to 36F after the door is opened. Refrigerator Door = 37F on 2nd Bin from the top; Refrigerator Door = 40F on very top Bin in the door.

Whirlpool reliable?
Unfortunately not the case for my purchase. Bought this in October 2021, was happy at the time but barely over a year old it broke November 27, 2022. Fridge started to make loud buzzing and clicking noise every minute and then your ref and bottom freezer stops cooling. Once you are over the 1 yr factory warranty you are left at the mercy of extended warranty service schedule. They replaced the relay December 6, and the condenser December 22.
Not even 2 months later the buzzing and clicking came back and now not cooling again on Feb 9, 2023, and I can’t get a repairman until Feb 15 under the extended warranty service.
Food going to waste again. Whirlpool…no thank you.

The top door will not close unless I push it hard. I thought it was a “Soft Close” door. The hole at the bottom of the top door where the Styrofoam is injected to insulate, leaks pills of Styrofoam. The plug is defected. I know this because I checked the bottom freezer door and it has a perfect plug. This is the third time that I’ve responded to these email questioners and no response. Please help.

Love the look of the whirlpool Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator. The refrigerator portion is spacious. The freezer is a bit smaller than I had imagined, but it will work. The size was perfect for the 31″ opening in our 1956 ranch-style home. With that said, the appliance began making a loud noise after 24 hours of use. I called a repair person (we purchased the 3 year extended warranty) to come to our home and fix the problem. The repair person was unable to determine what was causing the loud noise so it was decided that we would exchange our refrigerator with a new model. I’m giving this frig three stars because of the outstanding customer service we received from Best Buy. They made an on time delivery, removed all packaging material from our home, responded to my concerns about the noise when I called and are exchanging our frig with a new one without any hassles. Best Buy, you’re the best:-)
