The kit really finishes off the look of the range!

Wow this trim kit fit perfect for my new Kitchen Aid range and it really keeps any and all food out of the crack between the range and sides of the new stone. If is kit fits you range…Buy it, and you will love the look, as well as what it does to keeping food out of the cracks.

Did not fit. Was supposed to be installed. They would not do it. Package was open when they dropped it off as well. Looked like someone else had also returned it! It was a Whirlpool trim kit for my new range.

No one knew how to install it. Some of the workers didn’t know what it was

I’m a contractor so I have installed a lot of slide in ranges. I didn’t buy these on Amazon or Best Buy because it was not only unavailable but more expensive, same on the Whirlpool site. I bought it from Appliance Parts Pros. First off, there is only two things I don’t like about this trim kit (W10675028). One is the finish. However the manufacturer makes it to fit probably half the Whirlpool ovens. Some will have a brushed stainless finish which would match and mine which is more of a polished stainless finish doesn’t match but still looks okay. Second, the side trim pieces are 22-7/8″ and if you have a normal countertop with a back splash only and push some ranges back to the wall like it should be, these side pieces would be too short. Fortunately my previous oven and countertop was cut as an alcove so there was 2-1/4″ on the back. It says in the installation manual: “remaining counter depth should not exceed 2¼”. Mine had about 2-3/4″ to the wall so this works about right if I cut the back out another 1/2″. All the pieces fit with the front bevel of the trim piece even with the front radius of the countertop. I’m glad I didn’t cut that rear area out fully until I got the trim pieces. The front bevel on the trim piece should line up with the radius on the front countertop (see picture #1). I would prefer to cut out that entire rear area and push the range back 2-1/2 more inches because the range is pretty deep but you have to fudge back and forth to make things as good as they can be. My range has black side panels so those are noticeable. They could have made the side pieces longer and we could cut the length to fit. The only other way would be to go to a sheet metal shop and have pieces made which would match the range but would cost a lot more. I’ve done that before for other customers. A lot of people on these reviews say the trim pieces don’t line up in the rear. I believe they’re not installing these properly. The range needs to be about 1/8″ above the countertop. If you can’t get this measurement because of countertop or flooring thickness then these won’t work or you’ll have a gap if too high. The inside radius of the trim piece (see picture #3) needs to go over the top radius of the range not to its side. If you do that the rear connections will fit perfectly on each side (see picture #2). I also used a little silicon caulk under this trim kit to the oven to keep grease, etc. from getting underneath it. BTW the measurements of the trim pieces are: sides (22-7/8″) and rear (31-1/16″). Hope this review helps others but other than the finish and side pieces needing to be longer I like them.

These trim pieces worked well for the installation of my new KitchenAid slide in range. They seem secure and look good.
