This product works well providing you install it properly. The installation itself is fairly straight forward, but making sure the antenna’s are located properly is the main thing that is required for the maximum effectiveness. First, make sure you have a good location for the external antenna. I mounted mine on an F150 pickup truck with extended mirrors for hauling an RV. The included hardware allows you to choose the right mounting setup, but don’t expect to be able to mount this on a bumper or a fender. The main consideration for the external antenna is the height. The higher the better. I tried this using no extenders then added one at a time to test the signal. The each time I added an extender, the signal improved. More on the signal later. I also found that the interior antenna needed to be as close to the phone as possible. This was easy for me since I use a phone mount on my console and use hands free, so I put the antenna right next to the phone. The included wires were more than long enough to tuck them away where they could not be seen. I have power outlet underneath the dash so that I could hide the power connector away as well.

Once it was all set up, I went for a drive through some spots where I had either a weak signal or no signal. What I found was interesting. In the places where I got a weak signal I noticed a pretty consistent 2 bar increase, but in areas where I typically get no signal, I still get no signal. The only improvement I noticed on that level was that I got my signal back a bit earlier than usual. I have a 5G phone and it did seam to help overall. As I said I consistently had at least a 2 bar better signal.

Overall I would recommend this to someone on the road a lot or if you are in an area with poor cell signals.

This booster did a great job while I wandered through the remote areas around Moab, UT. Those reviewing this device saying it doesn’t work must not have it installed correctly. Not entirely their fault, as it’s kind of difficult to get clear instruction on how to get the most out of this device.

First; you want to make sure the two antennas are as far apart as you can get them. Further = better. On my Jeep Wrangler, I installed the external antenna out back on my tire carrier, and the internal antenna right on my phone holder on the dash. From the install instructions, vertical separation is better than horizontal, but as long as you keep them as distant from each other as possible you’ll be alright.

Second; you’ll want the internal antenna as close to your device as possible. The reason is because if the external antenna starts picking up the signal from the internal antenna, you get what’s called oscillation, which is bad. To combat this, the device will reduce the output of the internal antenna until the external antenna no longer picks up the internal antennas signal. This means that the output distance of the internal antenna could drop from the max 2ft to only a few inches. I’ve gone from good signal to zero signal just by removing my phone from its dash cradle which is right on top of the internal antenna.

Third; make sure the amplifier(booster) has plenty of airflow. This thing gets WARM, as the entire body is essentially a heat sink. Electronics don’t like excessive heat and reduce their performance when they get too hot.

Fourth; you may have to toggle airplane mode on your phone after switching this booster on. Cell phones will usually reduce the number of connection attempts to cell towers if there’s no signal, so as to conserve battery (same with WiFi, it costs power to keep searching for a signal). Turning airplane mode on and back off “resets” these antennas to start searching again.

Fifth and finally; be aware this device advertises that it’ll do a max boost of 40db of signal. Basically, this device most commonly will boost you up 1-2 bars on top of what is available. It all depends on what cell towers it can find, and how strong a signal that tower is outputting. If it can’t find any, you’ll get zero signal even with this device. I’ve had instances where I went from 1-2 bars to full 5, and others where I went from zero bars to 1 or 2.

Overall this is worth it if you want your best bet of staying connected while out in remote places. Whether that convenience is worth what this device costs – is entirely up to you.

As far as installation and use go, install is incredibly easy as it’s all plug and play and comes with everything you need, just be sure to keep in mind the above points. There is a small adapter (included) that needs to be installed on the external antenna cable to connect to the device, but that was literally the hardest part of my install.

Usage is super simple; plug in to the cigarette lighter and flip the switch to ON. Wait for the light to turn solid green and you’re all set. If you get stuck on flashing green/red, power the device off, wait a few, and try again.

  3. Awesomeproduct

It works. Not if you don’t have any service. But if there is a little bit that you can get it will connect you. Worth the money if you need connection

  4. Mike

It would great if I ever received my package. It is already 10 days late.

  5. LeeE

Works pretty good out in the country, from no service to at least 1/2 bars LTE.

  6. Fourthhokage82

This is a great product for inhancing your cell signal. I’ve tried it many times up in the mountains where cell signal is very low. As soon as I plug in the Weboost it automatically enhance signal within seconds. Great product, I highly recommend to anyone.

  7. Shonna

The range range to phone wasn’t that good and the overall boosting was good either. Even when the receiving antenna was well away from anything that might cause interference. Not going to recommend this product.

  8. Kellyrand

Good reviews on product.. should be just what I need to boost my cell signal out of these dead zone areas

  9. dbduck

Used it last weekend. Didn’t seem to boost single at all. Also not sure if have it set up correctly.

  10. Jose

Doesn’t work as well as I would have liked it to wouldn’t have bought it if I would have known it didn’t work like they claim

  11. Shane

Works great, extended my overall usability by by alot

  12. Resistant

I drive OTR and have more then ample room to spread it out, because you can’t have the outside and inside antenna and the booster box close to each other per the directions. And I get at most 1 bar. I have Verizon from Verizon, not a secondary cell provider and at best I get one bar. Maybe it might work better with another provider, but as it stands this thing shouldn’t be more then 150 dollars at best. I even have it set above the truck top. It’s the big one next to the satellite radio antenna.

  13. HidingFromTheWife

So far good product. You do have to understand how a cell booster works or you’ll be otherwise confused. Watch plenty of YouTube reviews to determine which model of booster best fits your needs. Installation takes less than 20 minutes if you’re not trying to run and hide wires and make it look pretty. I just simply routed mine through the door and called it good.

  14. Oiraheta

Work just where is signal, I drove to Los Angeles forest and no signal at all

  15. Callofduty

If you go off-road this item is for you! Just figuring out where to place the wiring and antenna is the hard part.

  16. stuckintexas

Helps service on oil field sights in rural west texas.

  17. Awesome

So far its out performed my old 4gx booster..by leaps and bounds…even managed one bar outside of jal NM where my old booster got zero bars.

  18. Csofka

Assembly was fairly easy. At first we were worried about being able to tell if it was actually working to boost signal to our phones, but since we have had it for about a month we have definitely been able to see a difference. We are very happy with our purchase. Worth every penny!

  19. WhiteHat20

Gray product. Increased my signal by a lot. Love it.

  20. Booster

Is wonderful this booster. Work very good, connection in 100%

  21. Ryan

I installed this in my work truck a year ago, and it really helps with the signal strength even in very rural areas. We’re thinking about putting them in more of our fleet vehicles soon!

  22. Unknown

It really works! I work out in the oil fields, and this things actually works! Great buy!!

  23. Kcmack

Add coverage in poor reception areas and improves Wi-Fi

  24. 12345xyz

The weBoost worked perfectly. If the signal was weak I turned on the booster and at minimum the signal doubled. Talk, Text, and Data was no problem.

  25. Trob

I can honestly say this product works great. I’m in the oilfields and almost everyone has a signal booster due to poor cell service.

  26. Airpods

Works perfect. Now i can talk, text, and watch movies at work

  27. ChrisG

I work in the Oil and Gas industry so I’m all over different locations in the south. I wasn’t sure how this booster would help in my work truck. I was blown away at how much signal the booster pulled in.. I can talk, text and stream in areas where before I could barely send or receive a text.. Pricey but well worth it!

  28. Gs16

Item works Great – purchased a total of 4 – installed them in our work trucks.

  29. DanD

Perfect for those traveling to the outskirts of cell coverage. Improves data speed for sure and clears up sketchy sounding phone calls…

  30. Shopmechanic65

It worked fairly well when I noticed cellular signal drop between SW Texas going bk and forth to New Mexico desert and being out in the far areas of oilwell sites. I tried it with and w/o the booster to ensure I was boosting my Verizon signal. It only went up a bar but considering it is struggling with the lay of the land in that area it still did well enough. The indoor antenna connector is flimsy and can break inside the wire shielding as well as slip out of the connector, cheap crimp from factory. The outdoor antenna has the same connection issue and poor quality build. I’d either tape that wire going into the connector or secure it another way bc it is fragile. I didnt get to permanantly mount it bc it was always in a work truck and i had to suffer door squeeze on my larger outside antenna wire. You can send it in under warranty i hope.

  31. Brick

I had this for only a week and the antenna snapped in two. This is ridiculous. $500.00 down the drain. I didn’t hit anything it just broke.

  32. BrokenX

Great product if your traveling in the mountains or in the country

  33. WBVA

Great did served its purpose. It is a life saving gadget for those who work in dead zones

  34. Harvy80

Works as needed, will definitely help in low service areas

  35. AlexanderR

Thought it would improve signal and it didn’t worse way to lose money on something that didn’t work

  36. DavidMcculloch

It works as it was advertised and was simple to install.

  37. User3567

Worth the price . It helps when im out in the middle of nowhere.

  42. Yeah

This item has yet to be completely mounted but preliminary unmounted activation showed a dramatic rise in cell reception.

  47. Justinmccan

Had 1 bar of signal, no 4g or 5g in west texas, installed this and had 4 bars of 5g.

    Definitely works as described.

  48. KanielM

Great product, has helped for exactly what i bought it for. Get great signal strength just about everywhere ive gone.

  49. JeanetteV

The booster works very good. My house is about 1800 sq/ft. My desk is in the living room and I was only getting 1 bar on my Motorola phone; 40 feet away out on my patio I can get 3 bars. The permanent location of the booster is on top of the cabinets in my kitchen, about 20 feet from my desk. I now have 5 bars on my phone and 4 in my bedroom, where I previously had only 1 bar. The unit works as described. The cell tower website is listed in the instructions showed that the tower doesn’t point in my direction, that’s why my service is so bad.

I have an AV installation background so I’m trying to provide details for a novice to have an easier installation. I used a satellite dish mount left over from a previous owner; took off the dish and used the pole; worked great. I can see the cell tower from my house; about 1 mile away. The cable included with the unit is RG6, a standard cable used for cable and satellite service in homes build since the 1990’s, so if your house is pre-wired for satellite service you can use that cable. I was careful to make sure the outside and inside antenna’s are far enough apart and that they don’t point toward each other; mine are about 30 feet apart. If you look carefully at the instructions you can see the shape of the inside antenna determines what direction it’s pointing. From reading many online reviews that is the only thing I can think of that someone could do wrong that would create a problem. I hooked the equipment up and ran the cable in through a door to check the signal before doing the final installation. Regarding the instructions, there is very little said about what should happen when you power this thing up. So here’s what happens: when you plug in the power after a few seconds all the lights will come on solid, after another few seconds the the lights will flash as the unit goes through an internal diagnostic test; then the lights will progressively go off as each frequency clears a check. When it’s done the light for each band that is good will be off.

I had no need for tech support so I can’t give it any stars.
Easy to install, well that depends on your experience. The unit itself is easy to install you just have to screw in the cable and the antenna. Getting the cable from the outside antenna to your equipment location would be your biggest consideration. I suggest doing your home work to see where your outside antenna needs to be and where you want to put the booster inside your house. Consider that you will need an electrical outlet at the inside location. I used this site http://www.cellmapper.net/map to see the cell service near my house. You can select your service provider and see their towers and the coverage they provide.

We purchased this for my husband’s work truck and it has worked well in areas with little service.
