I would say this is a 50/50 buy. If you are looking for a white noise machine that doubles as a fan…THIS IS YOUR PRODUCT! I, however, was looking for a fan that could disappear on my desk. No such luck with this noise maker. I haven’t found a good fan that doesn’t sound like you are on the end of an airstrip. The good news though is it moves air. You will likely cool off fast enough to turn the device of after only a few moments.

We bought one of these almost tens years ago. It still works but isn’t as quiet as it used to be. My wife is one of those who needs a little white noise to sleep and this fan is replacing the other Vornado for that purpose. This one is just as quiet as our original used to be and seems to move a lot of air for it’s size. We’ll probably buy another one 10 years from now.

I purchased this because it can get warm in my office sometimes, and the fan good with helping with that. 80% of the time the fan to me also serves as a white noise emitter. Keeping it on when my office is super quite helps. has two speed settings. looks sharp when off and stowed away facing downward. also oscillates.
