    If your thinking about getting this, just do it. Also, consider the total tech membership since you may be able to save on some of the other parts that goes along with the purchase. I love how this devices also sends notifications to your phone when the factory alarm goes off.

    To be quiet honest. This has to be the most regrettable and wasteful purchase I ever made
    Waste of $500ish . It just doesn’t work half the time. I follow the same steps to start the car, it works when it wants to. If someone has a manual transmission, I urge you not to make the same mistake and purchase this unit. I feel I should have donated the money . Let’s not even talk about how it took 2 months to schedule an appointment to get it installed. I’m incredibly unhappy with my purchase from every aspect. If someone from bestbuy or viper reads this, we can continue this conversation.
    I had a drone unit before and it worked seamlessly I’m aware the 6speed transmission is the reason why I’m having issues , but I shouldn’t be sold a unit that works whenever it wants. I follow the initiation steps and it works when it wants to.

    Started getting error 702, command sent to vehicle but vehicle did not respond. Contacted Viper in reference to this issue. Was told that it’s an installation issue and that I need to go back to the place it was installed. When it works it works, but get the error message more often than I should. When I go to Best Buy to talks to the installer, there is no one there, and appliances are stacked in front of the installation area. I was told I can come back at any time if I had any issues, but there never any one there to help. Maybe one day Best Buy will have an installation technician at work that can help with this issue.

    Nice loving this item able to start my car from anywhere when I say anywhere “anywhere” compare to my 1000 meter range I had I’m now able to start from queens-Brooklyn or even queens to Manhattan I can even open my doors and with the subscription I choose I can track my car in real time I can tell if my car is being driven over the speed I set I even set a fence meaning if my car is driven outside of that fence I’ll be notified via text/email

    I intended to buy this for my new car as an add on to the viper 5305…but I found out my new car does not place nice with anything analog. Rather than return it, I had best buy install as an add on to my other viper that I’ve had for over 15 years in my 05 truck!!! Man this smart module has literally given my alarm new life, I don’t know why I didn’t buy one sooner. Best buy installed it in 30minutes. The unit itself is very well made with a 3 wire connection. My old alarm has two way paging that causes a parasitic draw on the battery. With this smart module installed, I have turned off the two way remote paging and can now get cellular paging from anywhere. No more two way paging limitations. Yes you have to buy the viper subscription but it’s $8 a month, that less that going out for lunch, well worth it for peace of mind. I can unlock my doors or start my vehicle from anywhere. Not to mention I can check my battery voltage and status of the vehicle. This smart start is fast too, I’m getting response confirmations back in less than 2sec. If you’re using any viper system especially those old models, this is a great purchase.

    Don’t get this unless you want to pay a monthly fee. I didn’t read the fine print where we had to sign up for a monthly plan and now use the key fob to turn it on. I had to pay for the automatic start for the fob then another 200 for this for it not to work without a plan.

    My wife loves it! We live in Minnesota and when OnStar stopped covering our car model last year we didn’t know what to do. She works inside of a school building far away from the car, so normal fobs don’t work to start it. This product works so much faster to connect with the car and has been a wonderful update. So much that she doesn’t want a new car because then she would have to switch back to the MyBuick app.

    Great addition to update any older/classic car to have keyless entry and remote start from antwhere in the world with 4g. I can let my friends into the car to get stuff they left behind while im at work. Can also track the location of truck with gps when lending out vehicle

    Excellent product that does exactly what it is meant to do. I previously had the 3G version but had to replace it with this when 3G cell towers were phased out. Best Buy technicians at Commack did a thorough job and installed it within 20 mins.

    Professionally installed by your Best Buy vehicle Geek Squad. Highly knowledgeable and professional was able to troubleshoot any issues. My technician knew exactly what to do throughout the entire installation process. Installation was seamless. Everything taken apart was put back together correctly. All wires tied professionally. As far as the system itself the remote start feature is extended from not just your key fob but also to your smartphone. Also added GPS feature allows you to know the location of your vehicle by pulling it up in the maps with the Viper app. Last but not least any alarm triggered on your vehicle you get alerts on your phone.
