    This is an Analog to Digital matching device that connects your VHS player or camcorder to your computer allowing you to copy your old media to your harddrive, usb memorty stick, or subsequently burn to a DVD. As a bonus this also allows for copying your LPs or cassette audio tapes.

    Overall the unit is pretty easy to use. My only complaint is that the software does not allow for any editing. You can burn directly to a DVD but if want to do anything like noise reduction, or disc authoring, you will need third party software. And be advised, you will need to have internet access to load the software on your PC.

    Great tool to convert your old memories to digital. It is easy to install and easy to navigate through steps. It has froze up on me twice while using it. Quality of digital video comes out great!

    For the most part it was pretty easy to set up. I’ve only used the basic option so far which is easy, but the advance option seems like it’s going to take a hit of time to learn.

    It worked for me to copy VHS to an imac 10.12.6 (late 2015) . I had to use the 2nd download option which I think is older. Installing sftw and setting up the device was straight forward. And OMG it works 🙂 Very happy with the purchase, but be sure your machine has exactly what you need before purchasing because Bestbuy policy is no returns on open software. The staff at the store was very clear about that before I made the purchase. This is a project that has been on the shelf for waaaay too long and after using this product, I have no idea why I waited.

    This product enabled me to copy all VHS tapes into digital form and make DVDs. It took a little time to get used to the interface with the product and a phone call to the company which was answered promptly. They answered all of my questions and the product actually delivers more than I was hoping for.

    I converted my boys vhs tapes from when they were little, saved them on a disc and thumb drive. Setup is simple. Definitely buy if you want to keep memories safe!

    I have tons of 20-year-old Hi8 camcorder tapes that I needed to convert to digital. I bought this hoping it would do the trick and it did not disappoint! Simple interface and quality output…while it may not have l the sophisticated bells and whistles of higher-end video editing programs, I highly recommend it for those who just want to preserve their home movies. Note–you do not need a CD drive to install the software–you download it.

    This product does not work on a 2015 iMac nor a 2022 MacBook Pro M1 because of software issues I believe. I ended up buying a HDMI video capture card and RCA to HDMI converter from Amazon for about $20 total that worked great. There are cheaper options that work better with modern tech.

    This product was a complete disappointment. While pictures were converted to my I-Mac, the sound did not; the sound was garbled and distorted. I took the product to a Geek Squad member who pointed out to me that the fitting for the USB connection port was damaged, and I had just taken the product right out of the box. Since the time for returning the product had expired, I lost the money I spent on this product and took it to a recycling center. Bummer.

    Until yesterday I loved this product! Then I upgraded to Sonoma and the driver doesn’t work. Called the company…response was: this is a known issue and we will email the driver when it is available, but no idea when. Iseless atm…

    This product works well – the only catch is that it is not compatible with newer versions of Mac OS. I had to use an older computer to set up the software. Other than that, it is easy and efficient to use. For camcorders you need to buy an RCA cord and an S-video cord.

    The VIDBOX Video Conversion Suite is simply amazing. I was able to transfer 30 year old VHF family videos easily over to MP4 files and burn CD’s to distribute to my family for years of viewing. Wow, what a great Christmas this device brought. I was able to bring these old family memories back for all of us to enjoy for years to come. Definitely recommend if your looking to transfer VHF to computer or DVD.

    Worked perfectly! I was able to convert all my VHS tapes to MP4 with no problem at all. ( Windows 10). I also appreciate the different modes, there’s easy mode, and there’s advanced mode.

    Was easy to set up and use. Had a few minor issues when trying to start transferring a couple of times, but was able to get them resolved to continue with the transfer process. When I contacted their customer service for help, they were extremely helpful and professional to assist getting me going again.
