    This stand was purchased to be used in a stand up situation. The stand is not very sturdy and isn’t the best constructed. It does pop up and has a slight adjustable height, but just doesn’t work as well as I imagined when purchased.

    I was looking for a good method of keeping my macbook pro out of the way on my desk. Tried this and it was a little too big for my desk. Otherwise, it’s a great quality product.

    This stand has a quality aluminum build, keeps the laptop at eye level. Used with a multi monitor system and raising the laptop keeps from having to raise and lower head from screen to screen. Lifting laptop off the desk helps with airflow and cooling, sticky rubber pads keep laptop secure.

    I bought this laptop riser stand for the purpose of clearance for my Magic Keyboard. The product is lightweight and can adjust vertically with the maximum height at the front being around three inches, just enough to tuck away the keyboard. The laptop doesn’t slide off the rubberized surface. The aluminum color matches the laptop.

    Could not believe it was such JUNK. The box it came in was nicer than this stand. Wobbly, doesn’t even stay locked after you adjust the height.

    This stand will hold most 15” laptops at a nice viewing angle. I use this to raise my Dell Latitude so it is about centered vertically with my 27” monitor. Allows me to use both screens without moving my neck much.

    Overall a good product, like that it is aluminum, not plastic. Arms could be a little more robust to stiffen when occasionally typing.

    I got a laptop to replace an old iMac, wanted the ability to shift from sitting to standing … this is short of that goal. Other than that it is solid, good looking and works well in a short range.

    The stand does what is says it will do. Came in a very serious box, well packed. My only wish was it would lift just a little higher. Another inch would be perfect.

    I am a fan of most of TwelveSouth’s products including BookArc and BookBook for Macbook Pro, but the HiRise…is neither a high laptop stand nor rises to the occasion. The main reason I will give this four stars is because it is one of the few laptop stands I know of that could be used completely upside down…a product should probably be more intuitive to only be used the manner it was intended for, but gotta give it to TwelveSouth for making something used what would normally be “wrong”, actually work. Search YouTube for a review on this product and you will quickly see what I mean. I am returning because a laptop stand ended up not being a good fit for me, but here are some pros and cons:

    PROS: Packaging is phenomenal, aluminum used is high quality, feels like a genuine Apple product (well, it would if it weren’t for these cons). Securely holds my Macbook and other laptops in place.

    CONS: Height adjustment is spring loaded, the mechanism for adjusting the height feels really cheap. It is almost always not level. Wobble is there but not bad, the uneven-ness of the adjustable pole is what really gets me. Could be a bit taller. Base at the bottom underneath is plastic and can scratch easily.

    I actually think this product works better as an iPad Pro stand than for laptops. For $75 though this stand falls flat. There are simply too many better options for the money.

    Overwhelming price for a very underwhelming item. It should have at least been able to raise a bit higher. There are much cheaper alternatives that give the same result.

    This stand is adjustable and very sturdy. It give you only a few inches to lift your laptop but to me that was enough.

    The weight of the MacBook itself(13” type) isn’t enough weight to hold it there. It slides off. Booo!

    This stand works great for my MacBook. Easy to setup and get going. Now it’s as high as my 2nd monitor.

    It works well. I have it at my desk to help elevate the screen. It seems a little pricey for what it is, but in the end it’s better for your neck to have one.

    This is one of the greatest inventions EVER, even though it simply holds up your laptop.

    It is sturdy. The computer NEVER falls off it, even if bumped. It’s angled perfectly. Buy it.

    Came 2 weeks late and I returned it because I already had received it in 2 days after the original promised delivery date from BB.

    The reviews had me skeptical, but this stand is perfect. It is heavy, so it won’t tip and the grip holds onto the laptop so well that you’ll shake the desk trying to get it to budge horizontally. As long as you tighten the thumb screw once you have the height set to a spot you want, there is ZERO wobble in it. Definitely pricey, but so are MacBooks, so complete the look of your desk with a one of a kind perfect stand like this!
