Unlike the previous generation that paired using the native Xbox wireless protocol, this one uses a USB transmitter to pair with the Xbox. Unfortunately, this transmitter is apparently sourced for pennies on the dollar and lasts *just* long enough to exceed the Best Buy return/exchange period.
That said, the Bluetooth connectivity is great.

Issues all the way around. Bought these headphones October 2023. Couldn’t connect with the Xbox. Updated did everything turtle beach tells you to do and even YouTubed and done Reddit research. Finally able to connect.. Jan 2024 headset doesn’t connect out of complete random. The computer wont recognize the stupid usb it comes with. Purchased another usb to see if I can somehow connect it. I’m not tech savvy at all. I expected when paying 180 that it would be user friendly. Back to wired I go. Save your money. ( when it worked it worked well and I enjoyed it but it’s not worth the frustration of trying to get it to work.. gives me old school red ring of death vibes at this point)

So the sound and features on this headset are amazing. Now the only problem Ive had with these is with the cheap plastic and weak-points, right around the ear piece. This was my second set that broke in exactly the same way. And i dont have a big head. The second set, I take cery good care of them, and especially was even more careful with the second set for that very reason. I had also bought my teenage son a set and his broke the same way before any of mine did, amd i just assumed it was because he was rough with them. So i domt think this was just a freak accident or bad pair, consodering it happened three times!

This headset has decent audio but the quality is horrible. I have had three of these headsets in succession and each time the same issue continues to plague this brand. The plastic breaks above the earphone making the headset unusable and repairs are not worth the trouble due to the frequency of the defects. Turtle beach offers a limit warranty and does not support their products beyond that warranty. The cracks and breaking are frequent and these can be found in a quick eBay search with the same issues continuously showing up with this headset.

Don’t buy this headset. Doesn’t connect to the Xbox. You have to hard reset your Xbox in order for your mic to pick up your voice. Sad because I used to be a die hard Turtle beach fan. Going to return mine tonight

Great headset, stays charged for a long time and connects easily. Decent noise canceling as well and super comfortable and form fitting. No discomfort from hours of gameplay. Great sound quality. Only qualm is sometimes when connecting it can have a weird noise in relation to game and voice chat, just have to turn it back off and then back on again. It is compatible with my gaming laptop, PS5 and Xbox one. Worth the price, especially in comparison to other gaming headsets
