    My built in microwave with this trim kit looks awesome. The installation instructions included a template but otherwise we’re not that helpful. Not a difficult install if you are handy.

    Microwave says stainless black but its really just black and the trim kit is silver so that just doesn’t match anything. Had to return because of that.

    The Samsung microwave trim kit is an Oxymoron. The product description states that it gives the microwave a built in look, but when you read the owners manual for said microwave it states in large bold letters NOT FOR BUILT IN APPLICATIONS. The first call to Samsung confirmed the not for built in application. When asked what the trim kit was for, they really didn’t have an answer. Checking with Samsung supervisors yielded the same answer. Thanks to a very attentive cabinet maker, who called several appliance stores, and discovered that it can be built in with 8” of head space for ventilation! My under counter microwave was going to be only a few inches off the floor. Make sure you are willing to give up 8” of cabinet space if you purchase this microwave and trim kit. I returned mine and purchased a different unit. Very disappointed!

    This is one of the steel made trim kit. I looked into other custom made options, but were rather expensive. Got it trimmed to 27 inch by local sheet metal guy and painted with metallic stainless steel paint (rustoleum). Looks fabulous.

    bought to use as built-in but takes a 30″ trim kit , xtra cost. The trim kit made it too large for my new cabinet. Had to buy different microwave to fit. It’s ok but not one I wanted.

    Was missing one of the clips to attach it to main unit. Luckily my handyman was able to “jury rig” it to fit but BestBuy needs to indicate in their Open Box/Return description that PARTS ARE MISSING.

    There are at least 2 different variant of the same model MC12J8035CT sold in the market. This trim kit does not all the variants. One of the MC12J8035CT has 4 additional screw locations designed to be used with this trim kit. Unfortunately, there is no documentation that differentiate the PowerGrill that can accept this Trim Kit and which one is not. They have the same model number but are different.

    Slightly under power as far as a microwave but compensate with the convection option

    Samsung really mailed this in. Even though they say it is for the power grill the support screws don’t line up. Had to improvise. Tighten it up Samsung.

    Stainless steel looks nice and is good quality but needed modification to fit Samsung microwave it was supposed to be for. Had to drill for screws that didn’t match holes and use all thread to tighten frame.

    It isn’t the easiest to install and I don’t feel like it looks as good as our old trim kit with our old microwave did, but it does the job. Plus if you have stainless appliances (we do) the microwave that we got only comes in black so it makes it appear like it is more a stainless steal oven and the inside is black glass

    This microwave has many useful features perfect for those with busy life, my favorite are defrosting and griller ingredients, the forward opening help to hold eventual dropping food, and the looks protect our little one to use it unsupervised. Also the material inside is super easy to clean. It is just amazing it is the best to buy!
