This camera brings everything you need to have it professionally installed. All other brands sell those parts separately for extra $$$.
It has 1080p front and rear cameras, so the images are sharp.
It has parking mode, which will record anything it detects while the vehicle is parked.
It has car battery protection, so it won’t kill your battery if you leave your car parked for extended periods of time. You turn this on in the unit’s settings. Be mindful that it will stop recording events if your battery gets low.
The app you need is called Dash Cam Link from Thinkware. If you download the wrong app onto your phone, you’ll get nothing but errors when you try to sync up your phone to it. The app exists so you can adjust the unit’s settings and to allow you to view the files it has recorded. It is not to be used for anything else, because the unit will stop recording when you connect it to your phone.

I got this whilst it was on sale. I actually own 2 THINKWARE dash cams(U1000 & F800 PRO)and they are fantastic! Love the fact that using the OBD cable to connect this to the OBD port of the car makes installing that much more easier.
Videos are clear. With the use of WI-FI, you can show on your phone what happened instead of explaining it. These are some of the best dash cam manufacturers so keep them in mind when looking for one.

I would rate this higher if the build quality was a bit better. Feature wise this a good option. However you have to be careful with the rear camera and GPS ports. If you are not careful the connections binding the port to the circuit board can come loose. So I have to say the camera can be easily damaged if you are not careful when plugging in the rear camera and gps plugs.

Great dashcam. I recommend them to people all the time and show them this one as this is the one I have in one of my vehicles. Someone sideswiped my wife in her Jeep and this recorded it. They basically bounced off her tires, no damage to the Jeep. The other person has decent damage. The video from this has made for quite a bit of entertainment as well as a piece of mind that we’re covered when it’s someone else’s fault.

The camera quality is pretty good and the viewing angle is decent, but it records one minute segments instead of a constant recording or several minute/hour long segment. I had a wrong-way driver come at me on a busy road. To provide the recording to authorities, I had to download two one-minute files from the SD card, then I had to download software to be able to merge the two videos into one video, which also caused the video to “jump” where it was merged (and it was missing a couple tenths of a second of video there too). If I had known it was going to record like this, I would not have bought this. I would highly recommend you find a dash cam that records more than one minute per video file.
