    With all the sound systems to choose from and prices going down I would say this product is fair. For someone on a budget and not so interested in sound quality this is a good one.

    I’m very happy with the TCL sound bar. The only thing is there is no explanation on how the controls on the remote are supposed to work.

    Soundbars that don’t have an app or connectivity unfortunately leave a lot to be desired. I have a dedicated theater room with a full on setup and know my way around audio. I bought this for my bedroom and it has a few issues that software updates and online recommendations haven’t solved.

    There is a noticeable audio delay whether you use Dolby or PCM. Since this is a “dumb” soundbar there is no way to compensate.

    Secondly the subwoofer has a terrible crossover range. Straight up dialogue sends information to the subwoofer and sounds terrible. Dialogue should not cross over that low

    It has very strong and clear sound. I had to unplug the bass because my wife doesn’t enjoy it as much as I do. It is still a great sound.

    Easy to install. While sound is better than TV alone, it isn’t as good as I was hoping. Bass is not very noticeable. Sound is a little thin. Was able to get it on sale, so overall a good addition.

    Great soundbar for the price. Can be hooked up to your tv via optical cable or HDMI Arc. I use HDMI and I can control the volume with my recular tv remote so it’s not necessary to use two all the time unless adjusting actual sound settings on the soundbar. Sound quality is a big step up over the tv speakers. Very clear and bass can be bumped up for a more theater-sounding experience. Only thing I will say is if you have the money, spring for the set with the additional rear speakers for a more immersive experience.

    Center channel speakers are to quiet. left and right speakers are about 25% louder than center. The subwoofer is pointless you cant hear or feel it in any mode. sound bars are garbage save your money and use tv speakers, studio monitors, or get a proper av receiver and speakers

    Setup was smooth and the sound is decent, but every time you turn on the TV it loudly announces that sound is coming from the soundbar. No way to shut this off. Perhaps you can live with it, but not us.

    At this price point this soundbar is much better than it has any right to be. Dialogue is much easier to understand because of the third channel and the base is nice and balanced.

    I bought this as an upgrade to and older Sony 2.1 soundbar system. I was intrigued by the 3.1 concept with the dedicated Center channel.

    The soundbar itself produced incredibly clear dialogue, so the center channel seemed to make a difference, however the that’s all it seems to produce. There was very little in the way of mid frequency sound.

    The system seems to try and make up for this through the subwoofer, but then all you wind up with is the higher frequency sounds and dialogue, and a lot of overly punchy bass in scenes it didn’t need to be in.

    I could the system working really well if you added L and R front channel speakers, but that defeats the purpose of buying a compact 3.1 system. I wound up returning and going back to my older Sony setup for now.

    Basic sound bar to go with my mega 98″ TCL 4K TV. Easy to use and interfaces will with the TCL system. Sound is clear although the separate sub-woofer doesn’t woof as much as I want – I do like my bass to come through, but it does do the job to keep this at 5 star for the price.

    For the price it was great. It quit working in less then 30 days. So I tried another. It didn’t make it a month either. If it had lasted a year I would have given it 4 stars.
