Has some issues with backlighting inconsistency on the edges of the screen. Sometimes certain apps fail in the Roku OS while they work fine on my other TVs with Roku external hardware.

Picture and sound is good on this tv but there’s a defect with some tcl tvs . This is one of them. My tv would randomly jump from a Netflix movie to the Home Screen or it would shut off completely. I called tcl customer service before the warranty was up and they just had me do the same thing I been doing (reset the tv ). Don’t waste your money.

If the TV is working perfectly, it is awesome! Great picture and simple – no tricky settings… HOWEVER, after a year or so, we are starting to get an intermittent black screen that is becoming a nuisance. There is a tricky remote thing I found online that will fix it for a while, but then it comes back. That trick is to take your roku remote and press the following sequence (quickly):
Home button – 5x’s
up button – once
rewind button – twice
FF button – twice
The TV will then go through a series of weird things and it should work for a while after that. After this experience, I would not recommend this model to anyone. I have found the Fire TV types to be better.

The TV broke down only after 7 months of use. Now keep in mind this is football season. Called customer service and did all the steps in getting it replaced. TCL Said it was under warranty and would be replaced. that was 15 days ago and still no replacement!! What should have happened was Best should have gave ua a replacement and TCL should have sent my replacement tv to best buy. Worst customer service ever!!! And then try and understand them. Never again will i ever buy a TV from TCL.
