Robert –
Paired with a Sony a6000, this lens does a fantastic job. Autofocus makes some noise but the overall image quality is great! The price is also a bargain considering the fact that this is a prime lens.

I’m not a professional photographer. This lens gave me outstanding quality images! I’m very pleased with it after buying it because a well-known defect with my sony 16-50mm zoom stopped working. The lens worked perfectly with the camera body. I was worried it wouldn’t since it isn’t a sony lens. It is a little bigger than I had hoped but it is solid construction.
Dick –
Excellent prime lens for wide photos. I strongly recomment this lens.
Ravi –
I like this product, great pricing by tamaron and great compatability to my sony a7iii.

Love this little guy! If you don’t have this in your bag of tricks, you should.
Barry –
Not bad for a $200 lens. I use it on a crop sensor Sony a6600. Not very sharp but get decent close-ups nice blurred background when wide open. See photo below, shot at ISO 400 f/2.8 1/320. Not really a macro lens but I use it as such since I don’t have anything better. I’d consider a Tamron in the future.
Adnan –
Lens ring is very much stiffed . Very hard to plug in the lens in the camera
Cliff –
Very good for landscape photos. Focusing is a bit slower than the average lens and a bit louder to use for video shooting. Other than that, the image quality itself is very nice.
NashawnF –
Great lens images are absolutely amazing. Definitely a must have in your camera bag.
Harley –
Great lens for the money. Does a great job but does feel a bit cheap however the performance is great and it’s super lite.

My first lens for my first camera as I’m trying to get into it, really good beginner lens
Sunrise –
This lens is great for microphotography. It’s Very sharp 3.5 f to 5.6 f.
Reason not to go farther than 8 f. The 8 f to 16 f were used to lower the shutter from bold mode to make the motion blur for photography night.
Some complain that they hear a Motor noise on the mic of the camera when they watch their video footage. However, It is not a problem for the filmmaker. Because filmmakers don’t use autofocus for video.
