Pete –
Affordable lens with fast, great autofocus and sharp picture quality. I am impressed with its macro capability with sharp picture, but has a loud autofocus noise. Would not recommend for videography due to the lens noise. Otherwise great for photography. One star taken off for the lens noise.

Compact size, light weight, corner-to-corner sharpness. What’s not to love?

Works good, it’s kind of sharp but the autofocus is a little slow but not bad for the price.

I Love It! Its my first Wide Lens that I ever Purchased. Excited to see what other Deals they come up with.
JEBJEB –
Decided to return it and bought the Sony 24 mm instead. Overall, the Tamron lens is a good option, but I found an open box Sony 24 mm at a substantial discount price that I couldn’t pass up

It may be a bit slow focusing on my Sony A7r2 but the resolution is wonderful as well as the contrast and sharpness. It would resolve a 42mp as well as a 61mp sensor just fine. A truly bargain lens with great attributes.

I love the lens, it is perfect for indoor, macro and landscape pictures. Very sharp and nice colors

For the price it worth. Great lens. Fast focus. It came out with good results.

Haven’t had a chance to use this extensively yet, but this Tamron lens, as well as another one I’ve purchased recently (a long zoom), seem to be quite well-made and yet are very reasonably priced. Since I’m just a once-in-a-while photographer with asperations of catching a good shot here and there, I certainly don’t need the higher-priced brand.
The feel of the Tamron is light, but still solid. My Sony DSLR focused quickly with it, so no noticeable lag to me. Again, I’m happy with the purchase (and so is my bank account).
