UPS just dropped off my T3 Smooth ID flat iron 20 minutes ago and I have already flat ironed my hair, called my mom, and textedy friends to rant and rave about this flat iron! Im seriously obsessed! Upon ipening the package, I immediately loved the look and design of this flat iron. Its beautiful! White and rose gold with white plates…. just stunning! I immediately took it out and plugged it up! There are no buttons and I love that! Once plugged up you hold the on/off touch sensor for a few seconds and it turns on. From there you are able to touch and set if you have fine, medium, or course hair, as well as color treated hair. It automatically sets the temp for you based on your selection. You then double tap the on/off sensor to lock the screen and thats when the flat iron starts heating up. Now to give you an example of my hair type. My hair is shoulder length, thick, and very very frizzy! My hair is a wavy to loose curl hair type. I set the flat iron to medium hair. Also, I would like to note that i havent washed my hair in 2 days prior to using this and my hair felt a little oily before using. When I say I started flat ironing my hair and was in complete shock… I was beyond excited! Within two minutes I was able to flat iron my hair with ease! Normally this would be a 15 minute flat ironing on my hair…. not with the T3! This thing glides through your hair like silk! Not once did it pull my hair, burn my fingers touching my hair, or burn my scalp. One to two passes and my hair was straight as a board! It took away the frizz, my hair no longer felt oily but instead felt silky, and it left my hair gorgeous! To see results in 2 minutes on my hair that stays frizzy was beyond exciting! The T3 Smooth Id is a game changer for me, especially living in a hot and humid state down south! This flat iron right here easily takes the cake compared to everything else ive used! If you want frizz free, silky, beautiful hair in minutes without damaging your hair then I highly reccomend this flat iron!!

This is such a beautiful flat iron, it looks modern and sleek and feels that way too. I got this this as a gift for my myself and I’m absolutely in love with it! T3 Micro is an amazing brand and it really shows in the design. It’s extremely easy to use with easy and intuitive touch screen for use. The customizable settings are super impressive, where you can adjust for hair length, color, and even the thickness of the hair. You can truly customize the settings to absolute perfection. The auto-off feature is a huge benefit as I’m always worried about burning my hair. As someone whos always bought cheap and generic irons, this upgrade really displays the difference between a cheap flat iron and a quality one, my hair has never been straighter and it lasted the entire day! Not to mention, I only have to do one maybe two passes on my hair. The T3 also comes with clean and elongated ceramic plates that are super efficient at heating up and will last for probably your entire life. If you’re looking for a quality flat iron that will last you for the rest of your life, look no further.

I received the T3 Smooth ID 1” Smart Flat Iron with Touch Interface in White Rose Gold. This is by far the best flat iron I have ever used. You need to read the book because it was confusing how to even use it. The digital display is cool after you figure out what everything means. There are 9 different temperature settings and even settings for the thickness of your hair, you can also customize you hair length and color treatment
I have shoulder length hair that is waving and frizzes all the time, this straighter is so smooth it goes through my hair like butter. It makes my hair so silky and soft and it doesn’t catch or pull my hair like some straighteners.
It heats up fast and straightens in seconds. My hair did not feel damaged by the heat.
I am very impressed with this hair straightener, It’s so sleek and looks so high quality, very well made, durable and lightweight, handle does not get hot, very easy to use and fits in your hand nicely.
I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great flat iron!
Sandra –
This product did not disappoint me! The instructions provided for the settings were fairly simple. The settings are custom made to different hair type which I really enjoyed! It has the length type, whether or not your hair is or isn’t colored treated; as well as what type of hair strands you have. It heats up very quickly; the heat settings are better than other styling tools that I have had. I was able to style my hair quicker than with other styling products that I have had. I am very happy to have this product; I was looking for a new styling iron and all of the features that this tool has to offer are well worth it! I can’t recall the last time I enjoyed styling my hair without thinking well this is taking longer than I would like it to. However, with this product this was not the case which makes me happy to have found this little styling gem for my hair. All in all, it’s a great styling product that anyone who is either short on time or who just enjoys to style their without the it being time consuming

Design and Features
The T3 Smooth ID has a very sleek design with hidden touch controls and a rose gold finish. There are touch controls for hair thickness, length, and if you have had color treatment. Under the surface are also lights to indicate the current heat level. The weight is lighter than some but overall feels well built. The oversized plates have a smooth ceramic finish, and the cord is a good length and attaches with a swivel, so you don’t have to worry about cord tangles. A small but nice touch is the cord has an included strap to keep the cord coiled when stored.
Usage and Performance
While the touch controls make for a sleek appearance, they initially add some complexity. During the first attempt to use it the controls were accidentally set to the wrong hair profile and locked in. This brings to light a good and bad feature of the T3 Smooth ID. It is designed to be mostly used by one person so if you have family members who wish to borrow it the experience isn’t quite as nice. They have the option to reset the hair profile when they want to use it or set it to manual mode. To make changes you also must get in the habit of unlocking the controls first. Until you get the hang of it you might occasionally get frustrated thinking the controls are frozen. Overall, its not a huge deal but still worth mentioning.
When you first start using it you use the quick start reference to determine which of the three levels of hair thickness you have. Then you choose one of the three lengths of hair you have. Finally, you choose if you have color treatment in your hair. After setting these three options the flat iron sets itself to the correct settings based on your hair. The touch controls afterwards are locked except power and changing to refresh mode, so you don’t have to worry about accidentally changing settings. The iron makes sounds to let you know things like if it is starting up, heating up, or ready to use. They are helpful but specific sounds feel a bit childish as if they are from a sci-fi movie. While not a huge deal it does take away from the overall elegant experience just a bit. The refresh option is helpful to protect your hair if you flat iron frequently. If you just washed your hair you use regular mode and if you just need a next day touch up, you change it to refresh. Refresh allows you to touch up using less heat to reduce the chances of damage.
Speaking of heat, the T3 Smooth ID seems to be able to get a lot hotter than most flat irons. The medium setting felt close to the high setting on previous flat irons. This is where the heat isolation is very appreciated. Although it doesn’t say anything about it, somehow the Smooth ID isolates the heat to the heat plates very well. Even areas right up near the hot plates were not hot. Of course, you could feel the heat from the plates, but the body didn’t feel hot when grabbing it. This really helped with getting a good grip and control it with less worry of an accidental burn. At least for shoulder length hair this was true. Combine that with the hinge that moves very smoothly and the touch controls not getting in the way, and you had far more options of how to grip the body. The design makes it equally comfortable to use right or left-handed. It feels balanced in the hand instead of heavier on the ends with the plates. The cord also swivels so if you change grips or hands you don’t have to worry about tangling the cord. Overall, it made use more convenient with less fidgeting trying to figure out how to move the cord and grip the iron.
In use hair slide through the plates smoothing without sticking or binding. In most cases a single pass was enough. The anti-static feature kept the frizz down as much as possible considering both family members need a trim to remove dead ends. The result was nice and smooth with a slight gloss added to the hair. The heat stayed consistent throughout, making ironing easy and predictable. It also helped speed things up compared to the normal routine. You could just turn it on. Continue to get ready for the day and listen for the ready tone. No checking to see if it was heated up. One quick pass and you are done.
Final Thoughts
At first the T3 Smooth ID might seem like a regular flat iron dressed up, but it is more than that. While it might look nice, the features do make it easier and faster to flat iron your hair while protecting it from damage. You just have to get the hang of the controls, but it is worth taking the guesswork out of the process. If you flat iron your hair regularly and want to get quick, consistent results with less fuss the T3 Smooth ID is worth serious consideration.

My wife, an African descendant Caribbean woman confirms that this is probably one of the best irons that she ever owned. Obsess by having flat hair but also introducing some volume and small waves in her appearance, after a few tests, she confirmed that this Flat Iron makes one of the best jobs that she experienced.
Because I can compare with other irons in the house, I can confirm that this model exceeds in quality and performance all the other three that she owns. Three parameters for my opinion:
.- How fast the Iron heats and reach a suitable temperature. That obviously is directly controlled by the smart touch controls on the side of the Iron.
.- How simple and intuitive are the controls, you don’t need to be a hairdresser to decide the right settings. You just need to select the texture of your hair, and the length and confirm or not if you have a color treatment, the iron will deliver for one of the nine heat levels.
.- The general aesthetics and quality of a product that you can see is made for durability. The manufacturer is so sure about it that comes with a two-year guarantee. The Iron in reality has plates made of ceramic that reduce the damage to your hair. The sense of how light it’s and how little your hand is exposed to heat makes the rest.
Quality product, easy to use, and keeps the user happy. I love that the manufacturer is using current technology to solve all the problems that old models presented while keeping the safety and the hair health of the user in mind.

My wife has thick curly hair. She spends a lot of time straightening it.
After years of using flat irons that eventually burn out and or burn hair I picked up the entry level T3 straightener. When we say Best Buy carried the T3 Smooth ID flat iron with touch interface it was a no brainer to pickup.
The white rose gold matches her T3 AIRELUXE blow dryer.
So how does the flat iron perform? Well my wife used her old T3 and new T3 then told me to guess which side was done with which T3. They both looked amazing and her hair was salon straight and shiny.
Of course I could not tell the difference. When both sides was 10 out of 10 I guess T3 was a success for both products.
The T3 smooth ID is the Lexus line I would say. The touch controls and are a cool upgrade.
What she liked one pass straight hair that doesn’t fry and dry the hair. The heat control she loves.
She does her hair everyday morning and has the heat set to the lowest setting. Keeps the curls at bay and looking salon fresh every morning.
Took 1 star off because the entry T3 does as good a job if you don’t mind it not having fancier settings and controls.
The T3 smooth id is a smarter flat iron that helps you not over heat your hair when styling.
Make sure to read the manual and watch tutorials. This flat iron is smart and will lock in the settings personalized to you.

T3 Smooth ID 1” Smart Flat Iron with Touch Interface (White Rose Gold)
Quick to warm up, light weight, and easy to use. The instruction book lists simple step by step directions for initial set up. Once you set the controls for your hair type the wand automatically heats to that setting. If you need more or less heat it is easy to adjust. The shape of the wand makes it simple to straighten the hair as well as create curls or waves. The unit is no larger than a normal hair straightening iron but with much more functionality. Following the instructions, you can add curls or waves using the same device. This will help cut down on the number of devices you need to store. The touch screen locks so you do not need to worry about changing it while in use. Most others put the controls inside the opening of the iron. There’s always the possibility of burning yourself while changing the setting. Not so with the T3 Smooth ID. The setting are on the outside and you lock them in so your free to use it as you wish without changing any setting.

The T3 Smooth ID is slick looking straightener packed with quality of life features to help you spend less time doing your hair but also minimized damage too. It’s works well with all type of hairs. There is a learning curve to utilizing all those great features, but if you take the time to learned them the results might be worth it.
I highly suggest you take the time to read the quick start menu, if you don’t you might end up being overwhelmed. The set up is actually quick and easy, you start of by setting up your type of hair from Fine, Medium, Coarse. If you’re not sure about your hair type go with the medium setting. The next option is the hair length which goes from short, medium to long. The last option is for color treated hair. After you set your settings you double tap the power button to locked it in place follow by a chime to alert you that is ready to be use. If you prefer to manually adjust the heat settings this can quickly be accomplished by unlocking the unit and tapping the power button one time to go from Head ID to manual mode. In manual mode you have 9 levels of heat adjustment. As you can see it’s not your typical hair straightener. The first time I did my hair it did take longer since I was learning all the new features. Now my hair did come out looking nice with a lot less frizz. I also noticed how quickly it heated up which is excellent for a quick touch up when you’re on the go.
Overall the T3 Smooth ID is nice straightener that can be worthwhile if you take the time to learned all the new features. All the extra features might seem overwhelming at first but once you read the quick start guide you’ll see how there’s not much to it. It’s pricey but well worth it for helping me keep my hair looking and staying healthy.

Pros:
-Sleek, compact design, extra long cord
-Left hair soft and frizz free
-Temperature control setting allows for less hair damage
-Auto-lock feature sets settings so you do not have to adjust every time
-Has setting specific for color treated hairs, specific hair textures and hair thickness
-Can straighten or curl hair
Con:
-Slight learning curve. Everything is touch screen and sensor based.
-Once settings are set, you can not manually adjust for more or less heat. Entire unit needs to be turned off
-Once sticker is removed, it is hard to remember exactly where to power on from and adjust settings
-Touch sensors slightly lag
-Some setting choice require one tap, some require multiple
-Hair has to be completely bone dry or product does not work effectively.
-If using an oil based heat protectant or hair spray with the T3 Smooth ID, a slight film forms on the straightening plates
-If you have coarser or curlier hair, it catches on the the edge of the plates (small rubber strip on sides of plates)

My wife says that it is heavier than her previous flat iron. Doing a quick test myself there is a noticeable difference between the weights of the irons. I tried hold then in the center, while powered off, and this one is heavier.
As for heating up, she said this iron also does not heat up to as hot of a temperature. No I did not hold them in my hand to see which burned more.
She also sys it takes longer for her to use this, she has to do more passes to get the same results.
Build quality it is definitely a well built iron, I will guaranty this will last longer than her other iron. It feels more premium. I have a feeling it is just a matter of time before she gets this iron worn in to have a similar performance to her other iron.
You may be asking why we have two, well…when you forget to pack one…
Now a quick clarification on why the weight is very important to my wife. She has very thick hair and a pair of bad shoulders. When we search for hair driers or other hair care hardware the first thing she tests is how easy it is to hold up for an extended period.
She likes this iron enough and we will obviously keep it as a travel iron or spare iron for when the favored inevitably dies. It is very well built and you would not make a mistake buying this iron. But according to my wife it is not the best iron she has used but it is very close to it.
ReviewGuy85 –
The iron came fully assembled with a booklet explaining the settings. The settings are not the typical high/medium/low heat, or selected degree temperature. The temperature is based on your hair type, texture (fine/medium/thick), length (short/medium/long), and color-dyed hair. Once you input your hair type, the setting adjusts to the optimal temperature for your hair. The settings stay locked in for each use, you do not have to enter your hair type at each use, and it is easy to update if needed. The selected temperature has worked well for my hair type (medium/long), it makes my hair straight and shiny with only 1-2 passes, without overheating. I have also used this to create curls/waves. The iron is quick to heat and chimes when fully heated. The only thing I don’t like is that the heating plates don’t extend the full length of the iron – they stop maybe a 0.5-1 inch before the end of the iron, which can make it harder to style the roots. Overall, a great iron I will continue to use.

I can’t say enough good things about the T3 Smooth ID. First of all, it’s so easy to learn to how use this advanced hair care tool. It comes with precise instructions and a safety manual, plus you can access their website for more information if needed. I didn’t need anymore information on how to use it, but I did go there to check it out and register my T3 Smooth ID. The first thing I did was read the materials that came with it. It comes in English, French and Spanish. The second thing I did was identify my HEAT°ID by diagnosing my hair. It tells you how in the book. My hair is medium texture, medium length and is color treated. It tells you how to turn it on and select your HEAT°ID, and lock it in. It has a Refresh Mode for second day hair. It also has a Manual Mode for those that do not wish to use the HEAT°ID. The T3 is all touch and doesn’t have actual buttons you can feel. It lights up and even makes distinctive sounds. It features a temperature panel, texture selection, length selection, color treatment selection, a refresh mode light and the power button that isn’t actually a button sticking out, but the touch button. I straightened my hair on one side and put a little curl in the other. I’d recommend this to anyone that straightens their hair or likes a little bit of curl too. This is a super nice hair tool.

The ladies in my household literally gasped in excitement upon the unveiling of their new bathroom accessory. I have watched my wife and daughter use this device and listen to their feedback daily. The T3 Smooth ID 1” Smart Flat Iron with Touch Interface in White Rose Gold is the truth per my daughter who is thirteen years old.
Out of the box, the white rose gold flat iron just screams posh. The build is excellent, to the point that in the years to come if the flat iron wears out or is replaced we can use it as a hammer. Meaning the unit is strong and sturdy. The cord is about eight feet long on a swivel, which I was told by my wife is super fantastic.
The best feature of this flat iron is the salon one pass aspect. The unit heats up quickly and styling is a breeze. The device is so easy to use that I even did my wife’s hairdo one morning. I am sure she was nervous, but she was a trooper and it turned out wonderful if I don’t say so myself. My daughter is a cheerleader and loves being able to easily do flat-high ponies. Or just as easily do curls for game day. Both she and my wife have dyed blond highlights, with a medium to thinner hair body and fullness. Both ladies also have hair just past their shoulders. My wife and daughter both normally rock a flattened straight side or middle part. Which they are able to fully accomplish within minutes using the T3 Smooth. The iron quickly adjusts to the preferred treatment and optimizes its temperature. I am a personal fan when my wife throws the curls. She will do a couple in the front and can keep them alive the next day by utilizing the cooler settings on the iron. Doing this does not fry out the hair from what I am told.
The conclusion from my family is that this is a professional salon quality at home device that executes tremendously.

For what it’s intended to do, the flat iron is great. The handle action is smooth and soft. The plates close evenly, which is a probably I’ve seen with other, cheaper, options. I did notice there’s a small gap in the middle, but I assume this is intentional to all the hair to stay centered in the plates. This iron also gets hot enough to straighten those pesky gray hairs. Something I can’t say for some of the other irons I’ve tried. Operationally, the iron is more complex than it needs to be. Hair length. Color treatment. Hair type. Settings for each of those. To be honest, I’m still not sure I understand why hair length matters. I went straight to manual as I’ve learned that only the higher heats really straighten my hair. The noises are cute, but unnecessary. I do wish the buttons were tactile. The cord is also too long. I know that’s probably a rare complaint with devices like this. However, I’ve found that the cord tends to get hung up on the lower cabinet door handles. I think it would be nice if the handle had a mechanism to keep them locked closed, for storage and travel. Speaking of travel, at this price point it’d also be nice if this came with a heat resistant pouch.

FYI, I am writing the review for my wife – who does not like writing reviews but loved this flat iron..
Straight out of the box: the flat iron looked great and gave the impression of being very sleek and luxurious. Directions include photos and icons so the directions are easy to follow and understand and the QR code on the booklet launched an interactive start-up process. Super easy. The manual also had a section on styling tips and tricks on using it to make waves and curls.
The very first use was better than expected. She has curly thick hair and by making adjustments and following directions, she said it made her hair smooth and soft. She actually referred to it as a “game-changer” for her.
A beep sound and solid lights made it easy to know when the flat iron was ready to use. She said that she particularly appreciated the beep sound so that she could apply makeup while she was waiting for it to heat up without having to keep checking lights to see if the iron was ready.
The touch interface made it easy to adjust the amount of heat being applied to account for hair texture, length, etc. My wife really liked this feature as she had a ‘bad experience’ before with an iron overheating and damaging her hair.
The flat iron also has a “Refresh Mode” for later in the day (less heat exposure) and a “Manual Mode” if she wants to go ‘old school’ and select a heat setting. All in all this was a hit.

I am absolutely in love with this straightener! I have tried so many different options and it always takes me time to get used to something new. This one feels like I’ve been using it my whole life and like it was made for my hair. So simple and easy to set up out of the box, I was able to start using it in less than 5 minutes. I used the features to customize my hair settings (which was also super easy) and I styled my hair as usual. However, I felt that the heat setting was too hot for my hair type – I have very heavy blonde highlights and don’t use any iron over 300 degrees in order to prevent any heat damage, so the customized setting was too much. The second day I changed it to manual settings and put it to the third heat level and that is absolutely perfect. My hair is shiny and doesn’t feel dry or damaged in the slightest. I use the straightener to curl my hair and the curls last the entire day with one pass through. My hair is naturally curly at the roots and very frizzy because I don’t blow dry it so this iron smoothes out my roots, tames my frizz AND curls my ends all in one use. It heats up fast and cold down even quicker when it’s shut off. It barely gets warm to the touch on the outside so it’s easy to use if you’re in a hurry. I am so so pleased with this straightener and recommend it over any other brand out there.

The T3 Smooth ID 1 is a phenomenal product, however the QR code that is supposed to take you through a step by step set up guided my girlfriend to an error page. I think if you’re going to include an interact set up QR code, then it must be working, no exceptions.
With that out of the way, set up was easy. You long press the power button to turn on the hair straightener (sounds like a lightsaber), double click the power button to unlock the menu, select your hair texture, length, and color treatment then double tap the power button to lock in the settings. My girlfriend was concerned with how hot the flat iron was but ultimately though it did a good job for the following reasons:
-While initially she thought the flat iron was very hot she thought it was just right for her fine hair.
-Straightening and curling her hair was able to be done in one pass which is difficult since most flat irons lose heat when reaching the last 1/3 of hair.
-the refresh mode was good for touch ups on subsequent days and did not lead to any damaged hair.
At the end of the day, my girlfriend loved the aesthetics of the flat iron, is able to curl or straighten her hair in a single pass and did not experience any frizz when doing so. The features of the T3 Smooth ID are a definite time saver since it is high quality and is capable of producing the desired results in a single pass. This is an investment that will save time in the long run and keep you happy for a long time.

I got this for my wife, so I had her give her thoughts. She never really uses a flat iron but wanted a good one because she was looking for a quality unit with features beyond the normal flat iron.
We got this flat iron because it looked very sleek and be more adaptive to my hair than others. It has an expensive and quality look and feel. I thought it would be a great tool! And it is!
The design is sleek and the built-in buttons are a plus. I read through the easy to follow manual to learn how to turn it on, set my heat ID and begin using it. It was very quick to heat up, which is a plus. It beeps and lights up to let you know that it is heating. You basically start by Diagnosing your hair, that includes Texture and Length. You then use that to select your profile and if you have colored hair. These selections will automatically vary the temperature based on what you selected. It also has a refresh mode. In this mode, your settings are retained but the heat is lessened. This is great for those that wash every other day or so but want to refresh their look. You can also switch to manual mode if you have a specific need that deviates from your profile. The book also comes with helpful styling tips.
I normally do not use a flatiron, so learning to use it was an adjustment, but I am sure that those people who use one every day would love this one! The included styling tips in the manual are very helpful for a newbie like me. My hair is mostly straight, but it does have some frizz and wave and this did a great job handling that. I did try to curl my hair with it, but as I said I do not use a straightener normally, so I had to work a bit on this, but once I got the hang of it , it worked really well.
Overall I would recommend this. It’s well made and feature rich! I can see that I will have to hide it from my daughter as she will definitely want to take it!

This straightener is so much more advanced than my old one. At first it was a little confusing to turn on and change the settings on it but the instruction book covers how to change things pretty well. I’m not crazy about the touch-style way you have to select settings and the temperature at but I’ll hopefully get used to it. I do really like that there are setting options for your hair length, texture and if it’s color treated or not. Based off of that info it heats up to the perfect temperature that won’t damage your hair. You can save your settings for next time too which is nice. It heats up pretty fast and can get very hot.
I have color treated hair that’s a little shorter than shoulder length and it’s a little bit thinner and frizzier. So far I think this makes my hair a little more frizz-free and I don’t know any damage. I find it really easy to straighten or curl my hair or do some waves. I can even style my bangs pretty easily.
Overall this seems like a really solid and innovative flat iron!

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this straightener as I haven’t had a lot of experience using one. It startled me a bit when it made noise when I tuned it on, but I found the set up very easy using the included booklet. I like that it will remember your settings so you don’t have to choose it every time. With that being said, it is simple to change the settings if you are using it on someone else’s hair.
My own hair is past my collar bone, wavy, and medium texture. I found straightening it a simple and efficient process and I was pleased with the results. I was able to get smooth, straight hair with one pass, and I haven’t seen any signs of damage after using it a handful of times.
I had never used a straightener to curl hair before, so I decided to give it a try on someone else’s hair first. They have shoulder length, mostly straight hair. It took a little trial and error, but I was able to curl their whole head in about 30 minutes.
Whether straightening or curling, the T3 Smooth ID glides smoothly over hair and creates a polished look. While it gets plenty hot, it didn’t fry my hair and it never burned my scalp either. I don’t find it too be overly heavy and it feels comfortable in my hand. I like that it has a nice long cord and a velcro strap to contain the cord when you are storing it. And to top it all off, it’s pretty!

I love my new T3 Smooth ID flat iron. First, it’s beautiful with a slick design and it feels like a high tech item.
It intimidated me at first because it felt complicated. I am used to just turning on and off a button.
However, one I figured it out it’s been very simple and a quick way to get the straight look that I like.
My hair is very curly; not very thick, with lots of gray in the front and it’s been thinning in the last 10 years.
I have decided for now to stick to the manual option, which allows me to adjust to the heat level I want. It has a nice range for the heat.
My routine is first to do a quick dry with the blower and then I flat iron it to get a straighter look. However my old flat iron only had one heat level; now with my T3 Smooth ID, I have a wider range and I can get it to a medium level and get the results faster.
The profile option is a cool feature, but not necessary for me at this point.
I had a hard time at the beginning because I was pressing the power icon too hard. It only needs a gentle tap (like a touchscreen device) to turn on/off and to change the setting to what you need and voilà, we have been best friends ever since!

Packaging and presentation overall is minimalist. It has easy to follow instructions for use that are visible as soon as you open the flat iron. The cord length is a good enough and the plus side of the cord is the connection between the end and the iron rotates around as you use it. Most of my experiences with other irons have fixed power cords that are a pain to adjust as you use it.
Having the touch sensitive buttons is a pretty unique feature. Once you start to select the features, you have to play around with it to properly select your setting. It took a few tries to “lock” the setting that I wanted. This is why I rated 4/5, the method of selecting with these touch sensitive buttons just takes some getting used to. Instead of having physical buttons that are sacrificed to make this iron as stylish as it does. This is one of those style over function devices so just be prepared to learn as you go. As a styling product the iron heats up really quick. I consider this saves a lot of time since you can use it as a flat or curling iron.
Bonus feature with this iron – It heats up to the type of hair that you have. You can select whether you have colored treated, thick, thin, textured, or straight haired.

What a nice product! Works really well.
Contents in box are as expected – product and instructions.
Build quality is nice, smooth edges, rolling curves and nice texture for grip. Cord is more than long enough and has plenty of length if your outlet is a little bit away.
Did not read the instruction and struggled with the touch controls at first. I did figure it out and then read the manual! LOL
Overall the controls work well and been easy to setup since. I really likes the heat adjustments for my hair depending on the style she wants and current hair conditions such as out of the shower or just a quick refresh.
The unit heats up rather quickly and she is styling in just a few minutes. The heating elements heat up evenly and you don’t have to center your hair in the middle. The unit has 9 heat settings to get the right one for the desired look you want. The elements are coated with a “CERAGLOSS”. Hair glides over smoothly and doesn’t get pulled.
Was a little concerned with touch controls. With wet hands from hair and the heat elements. But they have worked flawlessly and I’ve had no issues at all!
Great product

I got this for my wife and she was instantly impressed. It’s sleek, modern and feels great while holding.
If you’re unsure with the heat setting, let this smart device figure it out for you! There are 9 different heat settings and it’s HeatID mode comes in handy. All you have to do is select your hair texture (fine – coarse), hair length (short – long), color treatment (color or not color treated). It will then pick the perfect heat for you. This setting has allowed her to cut the usual time it takes her to do her hair by half! She has never owned a smart flat iron before, so she was skeptical of this feature. Now she can’t imagine doing her hair without it. It takes the guess work out and allows her to have a salon look in minutes.
She said she loves that it’s so smooth and easy to style her hair with. Every time she uses it, she says how it feels like the high heat isn’t damaging her hair. So major props there! It’s very light and sturdy in her hand. It heats up fairly quick and she’s able to make her hair straight or add a little wave to it.
Pros:
Smooth
Sleek
Sturdy feel
Ceramic
9 different heat settings
HeatID Mode
Feels like it’s not damaging hair
Cuts usual time in half!
Easy to use if following instructions
Light and easy to grip
Can make hair straight or curly with ease!
Cons:
Price
Slight learning curve at first
Overall:
My wife said this is absolutely the best flat iron she has ever used. I know this is expensive, but sometimes you have to pay more to get that ultimate experience. We highly recommend this to anyone wanting a pro look while styling your hair in the comfort of your home. She said she can tell that using it won’t damage her hair as quickly as less expensive brands.

When you take the iron out of the package you can feel it has weight balance, other brands do not have the same feel. I like how it has the smooth hinge you don’t have to press very hard because of the hinge technology. I haven’t had trouble with the touch controls if you lock it which is very nice. The iron heats up quickly. It is easy to set the heat level that works for you hair type. I have thick curly blonde hair and the top 2 highest works for me. There is audible validation when ready to the desired heat level. The Ceramic plates are smooth and keeps static low and adds gloss to hair. It is so easy to use because of the swivel 8-foot cord and is tangle free which is a plus for me. This smooth ID iron will remember your last setting the next time you turn it iron back on and in case you forget to turn it off there is a 1 hour auto shut off. I really like the white with a rose gold finish because my other hair tools from T3 have the same. The touch control settings let you set the heat setting for hair thickness, length, and color treated hair. Included in the box is helpful instructions which will guide you the set-up settings your first time or whenever you need it. The settings can be changed at any time. As others have said in their reviews the setting is mainly for one person but can easily be reset for another person when needed to fit their hair type, texture, and length. Just remember to reset it back to your personal setting. There is a refresh feature so you can touch up your style when needed. This will allow you to touch up using less heat to reduce the chances of damage. The T3 Smooth ID seems to be able to get a hotter than most flat irons. The iron also gives even heat that is distributed throughout the plates without causing the whole iron to be hot. T3 has created an outer casing that prevent you from being burned including areas right up near the hot plates. It is always possible to get burned while using a flat iron but less likely with this iron. The hot plates glide effortlessly through the hair, there is no snag or tug. The Ceramic plates are floating which makes it glide and feels balanced and doesn’t feel heavy even at the ends. It feels comfortable in either the right or left hand. The anti-static feature help to keep the frizz down as much as possible which gives my hair a sleek and smooth with a shiny look and feel to my hair. After using the T3 Smooth ID iron I really think it will cause less damage to my hair because you mainly only use one pass because if your hair is hot after making a pass then you will do more damage if you continue to make more passes. Final thoughts – I am so glad that I made the purchase. I’ve have owned expensive brands that cost twice as much and gave them to my granddaughter, but I am happy with this one. I also own the T3 curling irons and blow dryer.
