I previously had the apex 5 which was an excellent keyboard but my switches started failing at 4 years of ownership. I had heard good things about the apex pro, and they certainly do live up to the expectations. This is a very fairly priced keyboard for everything you get. I have had no issues with the lighting zones, the steel series software or the functionality of the keys themselves. The rapid trigger and Omni point adjustable switches are fantastic for competitive shooters like counter strike. I was able to tune the Omni point actuation to a point where I no longer needed to counter strafe really. An excellent keyboard for gaming, or just general office work. Keys are sort of thocky which sounds amazing and it is very responsive. I would recommend!

Overall it’s decent, I don’t know what happened originally but I had to return this because on certain games the profile would automatically switch and the actuation would change to where all keys would always be pressed. The 2nd will change rgb to random colors on certain games. So far it’s only happened on CS2

Ive had many keyboards in my years of gaming and PC building. By far, for name brand, not custom built, this is my favorite. Its sturdy, well-built, visually appealing, and wonderful to type on. It has more settings than you may ever care or need to use – but there if you do need or want them. Ive had Arctis 7 headphones for a number of years now and they are still going. So after my Logi Pro keyboard LED’s started failing, I got this unit. Will stick to Steel Series products from here out.

I LOVE the mechanical keys and actuation adjustment. I LOVE the way it feels in your hands. I LIKE the color and overall layout and features.
I DISLIKE that I have had 5 of these in my possession over the last 2 years. The right side of the keyboard continues to short out and require it to be RMA’d. The first one I had it would disconnect itself over and over and would require me to unplug and plug in again. The second one the circutry decided it would type whatever it wanted when pressing buttons. The third one died completely after a month. The 4th and 5th I still have in my possession.

Overall it’s a great keyboard. For its price you get exactly what you’re promised and would expect. The entire set of numbers and lettered keys are capable or having their actuation point changed, down to 0.1mm, which causes almost instant activation just by barely pressing the key, all the way up to 4.0mm, which causes you to need to bottom out the board in order to have the key register. With that, they also have the option of another setting which changes the actuation point of how far the key needs to travel upwards before you can press it down and reactivate it. This is super helpful especially for those that play rhythm games. I personally use it professionally to play Osu!, and it provides a smooth and responsive experience. Do keep in mind that as this keyboard does have usb passthrough, you will need 2 usb ports on the back of your device in order to make use of it. The lighting is great, and the knob for volume is smooth. The final thing this keyboard has that I haven’t seen on other boards, is a customizable oled display. You can play animations at 10 fps on it, and it looks phenomenal. The picture attached has 2 keyboards. The black one is the steel series. Board.

If you’re a fast typer and gamer, this is the perfect thing for you. My boyfriend tells me everyday he loves it. Especially since you can customize the colors also. Yes it is high in price but it makes up for it.
