Haven’t played it yet, but it was cool to preorder

Told by at least two BB associates that the game would be a steam redeem code. Instead it’s a origin redeem code. In addition, all other vendors/platforms dropped the game at 12am ET based on EA’s synchronized global release time, Best buy had to drop an hour late because its system is based on central time. I’m so very dissatisfied and this game is no refundable.

Looking at questions asked I thought it would be a steam code. Just received the code, says Origin. Uffff.
eeee –
The answers led to think I was getting a Steam code, and I got an Origin code instead. Could you put the DRM front and center before we spend our money?
Ricky –
Not a steam code i check answered questions to see if it was also a steam code ends up being orgin huge disappointment non refundable how can you guys sell a product and not even know what launcher youll be able to redeem on
GoodOne –
What can I say? I’m really enjoying exploring the game and it feels just as good as the last one. I think that the gameplay and mechanics are familiar. Can’t wait to see how the story plays out.

The fact that it’s Origin/EA isn’t the end of the world, but I feel bad for everyone Best Buy CS lied to saying it was a Steam code. The PC version is poorly optimized (even for a 4070 ti owner) so I can’t recommend it in it’s current state. My opinion may change down the road, but developers need to get their act together. Tired of these terrible PC port/launches. Wait it out.

Game is great so far. I would highly recommend it. I know people are complaining about Best Buy not selling a Steam code but who cares. The game its self is great.

Like many, I relied on Best Buy’s customer service that this would be a Steam code. Not the end of the world, but really frustrating. I’ll also add myself to the roles of players complaining about performance. I get screen stutters constantly, and that’s on a 4090.

Even though the game will(eventually)be 5 stars, it isnt today. The game launched poorly optimized. It was foolish to think this was going to be a steam code. Of course its Origin. So im only giving 4 stars.

False advertising by Best Buy and ni DLC with pre-order was told steam code but can’t even get a refund from Best Buy.

Holy smokes people were not kidding when they said it was poorly optimized for PC. Played through the story until I got to the little settlement with the shop and man, up to that point the slowdowns were tolerable but there, I drop to 10fps or less. Also, STILL have not received my Pre-order bonus code. Talked to a rep who put me through to the digital download department. Told them that I got the code for the main game, but not the add-ons. I was informed that I need to play the game abit first to “unlock” the ability to customize my things on the Stinger, which I did for 6 hours, and nothing. Looks like I am calling back again tomorrow. Also, keyboard/mouse controls are extremely clunky, so I purchased a PS5 controller and it made a massive difference (XBox controller will do the same)
EA/Respawn know of the PC issues and have already put out a statement that fixes are coming in the near future so that is good but as of now, it seems like a half optimized game

I’m getting 45-60fps in most parts of the game. Not great considering I was getting 130+ in Fallen Order, but of course this is a new, more-powerful game engine. I knocked one star for the performance, and another because I am 9 hours into the game and still **have not received my pre-order bonus**. Not sure if this is Best Buy’s problem or Origin’s, but I will be reaching out to both for resolution. If that is resolved, I will add a star back because I am really not too disappointed in the game itself. It’s immersive and gets many things right in terms of building on the first title. If EA delivers on their promises to fix the playability in the coming weeks and I can get my pre-order skins with a simple chat with CS, I will be satisfied.

The biggest issue i’ve had with this game is the purchasing process. Like others stated, Best Buy didn’t mention what platform you had to redeem the code to. People had to reach out to CS and still were told wrongly about the redeem platform. Amazon had a better system where they had two versions of the game sold. One for Steam and origin. But along with that issue, I still haven’t received the the pre order bonus for the game yet. I did get the game on time though.
As for the game itself, its pretty good. If you enjoyed the first one, then you’ll like this one too. Improved combat, new planets, and better saber customization. They even added dismemberment. The big issue is the optimization. On my rig, I toned the graphics to great. Game runs smooth, but there still issues with performance. Still not as bad the stuttering issue with elden ring.

I’m running a 13th-generation i9 and RTX 4090, and the game consistently crashes. I would wait until the developers have the game ready.
Mike –
Great game so far, I’m using a 5900x and a 4090 at 1440p ray tracing, the game looks amazing and a great continuation of the first game. Performance was fine once I left the first boss fight area, not sure why this game is getting all this hate because cyber punk and others still run worse then this game.
Lily –
Gameplay and story is fun and engaging. Sadly, the game is bogged down by the current awful performance on PC.
Sasuke619675 –
Great game, easy to redeem and add to my account. Definitely recommend if purchasing through Best Buy.
Morsebs138 –
Performance issues aside, this is probably going to be a contender for GOTY.
MetalMegadeth –
don’t buy it until Electronic arts fix these bugs where game crashes a lot they need fix bugs on ps5 xbox and pc
JJDD –
So far the game has been great. Great game play and story mode. Enjoying the game.
Noah –
Great game, took around 35 hours to 100% complete it, but i will definitely be looking forward to the next one!
GaryW –
Game is pretty fun, storyline is great, lots of character development, and graphics are amazinf
3INHERI –
The only drawbacks are the temps your pc can get to and the drop in frames when you head into the open world.
offbrandd –
gameplay leveled up from first, way more options for playstyles. genuinely compelling story. but performance is much less than ideal. hopefully will be fixed, but research how it might perform on your system before buying
Heath –
I really enjoyed the first game and they’ve pafchid this since it came out. 9/10
TJ01 –
fire game I’ve been extremely skeptical of pretty much any Star Wars content since the disappointing sequel films and the disappointing EA Battlefront games. So going into this game I was praying that it would be great, and praying that I wouldn’t regret pre-ordering it. My prayers were answered.
DorianHawkmoon –
Great sequel. Good gameplay and story with an unexpected twist. Thankfully, I didn’t have any performance issues. It ran beautifully on my Ryzen 9/3080Ti. It took about 32 hours to complete the main storyline. The only negative I would add is that beyond the bounties and side quests, there’s not much content after you finish the game.
Mnkypockx –
If you enjoy the Star Wars franchise and their games then you’ll like playing this game for hours on end. However, like all Star Wars games it is very repetitive and predictable. You work your way up 6-8 stories, exploring for 10-15 minutes just for a main storyline character to knock you right back down those 6- stories. This is a beautiful game, but it makes sense why they decided to come out with Outlaws a couple months later.
Cassmoney –
Truly enjoyed the gameplay. It was fluid and similar enough to the precious game that it was familiar. Playing on a high end pc with an RTX 4090 and it looks GREAT
Kyjola2 –
This would be a good game if it worked. Crashes repeatedly and I haven’t been able to finish the game…
Lauft –
Would recommend this game to anyone, absolutely mastery of the force feels true
ChuckB –
Loved Fallen Order and this one is pretty good only if it were not for the graphics issues. I have a pretty decent gaming rig with a 3080. Even on low graphics settings after the recent July patch it still struggles and stutters. Moving forward I will wait at least 4-6 months after EA releases a game before I think about trying it. Plus the price will likely drop a bit by then so a win-win!
MikeTheHTGuy –
Absolutely loved the story and the more adult storyline. The mechanics improvements were huge.
neophytegod –
masterpiece. they took everything from the last game and imporved on it. then added more! so good!
StevieC –
Great game! An excellent sequel in the series. Good story and gameplay
JStrack –
The game is AMAZING! Gave it 3 stars because the PC version is buggy and still has such a long boot up time. I regret getting for the PC and not the PS4.
Tolsen –
The game is great but the performance is terrible, but I’m willing to suffer through poor performance to play a great game.
KappaB –
What a Crazy Game. So far spectacular on my PS5. XD
RogelioS –
