I think it looks nice to have as a business versus the swipe. I kept dropping the swipe reader and having to buy a new one. So if you are accident prone like me, invest in the flat one upfront

when it works it’s great. We had to exchange the first one we bought since it stopped working right when we needed it a at a farmer’s market… so that was pretty bad. The new one seems to be working OK. Very easy to tap or insert the cards. Easy to use interface on the phone too.

We’ve not had an opportunity to use those products. Our review is regarding the poor customer service. First, our initial delivery dates were rescheduled for a later date. When we ordered these with 8 tablets, we told the agent that the order was for a church and we had a sales tax exempt certification. He advised that when we picked up our order, a credit would be issued. We found out that that is not the case, rather the church would have to open an account and then upload the certificate. Subsequently we found out that had I put the products on my account, that the church would receive an additional year’s warranty. Again, the agent that took our order did not give us this information. As far as the order processing I would rate this a zero on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being outstanding.

Square is faster than paypal when taking payments but a little bit more in cost. Not much but in long run pennies add up. Over all ita good but the app/interface made it a little more difficult for me. Other than that its good.

It helped our sales increase and saved time processing the sale of multiple items at different prices. It has become a great tool that we can rely on. The processing fees are relatively inexpensive when you consider losing sales because you can’t accept credit or debit cards. A great purchase from Best Buy!

The Square Reader works for about 2 – 3 hours on battery before needing to be recharged. It only works when Cell Service/WIFI service is available. It does permit tap, or Swipe of Credit Cards, and software accepts manual entry.
Unit is moderately priced, and better than the scan swipe, however if you’re just getting started, and are budget constrained, you might start with the plug-in swipe only device.
Given today’s battery advancements, Square should look to improve the battery life on a full charge to 8 – 12 hours.

Reader works great and functions as intended. If you have signed up for a square account a card reader is included for free as well as your smart phone turns into a credit card Tap device. Therefore, this extra device is not necessary. The only downfall this device has, is you cannot tell if it is powered on or how to turn it off.
