    I looked around and read a lot of reviews and specs about all the 50mm lenses available to e-mount users. This had the best feedback and all I can do is agree. It’s an awesome little lens that takes up little space and produces great images!

    Pricey little lens with great quality, HOWEVER, research more! There are lenses out there significantly better. My first zeiss 55mm had a lot of issues, it would creak, sound horrible when autofocusing, but i got a replacement for free after arguing with the manager at lake forest, i was well within my return date but he just gave me a really hard time for no reason.

    The best lens of all time for Sony mirrorless cameras. The price of this lens has gone up significantly since its debut but it’s understandable. The collaboration with Zeiss is not just a way to hype the lens but it really gives it that sharp and 3D feel of Zeiss lenses. The lens is fast and will give you the focal length you need whether you’re a professional photographer or just a traveler. The form factor of this lens pairs well with any Sony mirrorless camera.

    This is a premium lens close to the common 55mm. This focal length tends towards a small size — this one larger than lesser 50mm lenses, but is a bit smaller than most other zooms and primes.

    If you’re a Zeiss fan, I’m sure it’s fine. I was expecting a bit more responsive and accurate autofocus than my cheap 50mm 1.8 but it was almost exactly the same. I ended up returning this, unfortunately. The difference was negligible and the price point was way too high for that difference.

    This is a great Zeiss-Sony lens – although not the newest in Sony’s collection. It consistently receives top reviews and I can confirm it delivers sharp pictures. It only offers a focus ring for manual focusing – but simplicity is a strength in its case.

    Don’t buy this lense it’s a waste of money. With so many different options out their this lense is not worth you spending a grand for a 1.8, you have 1.4 options out their and the nifty fifty that looks exactly the same side by side
