Nice soundbar. Like the fact that it communicates over the ARC HDMI port. Initially had problems with audio fading out then upgraded the HDMI cable and haven’t had any issues. Nice integration with Sony Bravia TV, one remote able to control all the settings for TV and Soundbar.

This soundbar has to be the main cause of syncing and switching issues. When trying to switch between inputs. It does not see devices that are already powered on. If I’m watching the dvr and switch to chromecast, then go back to the dvr, I have to turn off the dvr and turn it back on for the soundbar to be able to see it. A real PITA. I considered not running the hdmi for the dvr through the soundbar, since it does not see the dvr. Hoping that won’t cause a lip syncing issue when I have to run an optical cable from the tv to the sound bar

I highly recommend this soundbar set up. I bought a Sony subwoofer with it and they paired perfectly to my Bravia. I live in an apartment and it does a great job at providing an immersive home theater experience without upsetting the neighbors.

For what it is, this is a great soundbar. Given that the sound is coming from the front, it does a good job with spacialization of the sound/simulated surround. It can also utilize wireless surrounds for a better enough experience that I would recommend adding them. With the surrounds, it’s still not as good as a true surround system and the cost starts to come close. Ultimately, we went with the true surround system.

Love this for a smaller 13×23 room. Nice little bar. Have the Hta7000 in a 24×24 sunroom and i don’t think the 5000 is enough but i love the capability and sound quality when paired with the sw3 sub and rs3 rears.

Paired up with the 300W subwoofer, the sound bar is able to fill our 400sqft living room with ease. When used with our Sony TV for the center chanel sound, we honestly prefer watching at home versus going to the theater. Truly the only better experience is IMAX.

If your looking for Audio Clarity, skip this soundbar. I purchased this unit and paired it up with my sony a95k oled and was let down the soundbar has a balanced sound however sounds watered down . The acoustic surface feauture is a let down . Switched it out for the Bose 900.

We have not purchased home theater audio in many years, but we stumbled upon this as an open box opportunity. It’s the real deal, but you’ll need to be committed to purchasing the subwoofer and rear speakers too. I enjoy hearing sounds that I never knew existed before because of this soundbar.

Sony HT-A5000 Dolby Smart Soundbar would sound better with accompanying speakers and subwoofer of which i did not purchase. That being said it’s a very well made soundbar with a quality build and plenty of power to push the speakers. It’s rather large to make sure you think about how you are going to set this up. I will eventually set this up in my main living room when i purchase a larger T.V. stand and then i will also purchase the 2 wireless speakers and the subwoofer.

A good soundbar, but sony needs to fits it problem with the soundbar. It keep freezing up with the word Hello. I thinks it would be a good soundbar onec they solve the problem. Price is a bit high.

Upgraded from an older version and this one works so much better in our very large gameroom. Excellent sound. Only downside is its too long to fit under our 65 in tv so we had to do the brackets on the front and for now it just hangs there. Hate that part
