    Great lens for the price. Although I’ll consider upgrading to the new version but this is still dang amazing and it’s drop in price as well.

    This lens is perfect when you need versatility. It is low enough aperture that you get good depth of field for portraits, but also a short enough focal length that you can get big landscapes. If you only can get one lens, I recommend this one. The focus button on the side is great for creating depth of field in pictures where the subject is not in the center of the picture too.

    I love this lens. A bit heavy but it’s really a good travel lens. The picture colors are crisps. Hope it will give me a good result for my travel photography.

    Overall a great mid to upper level lens. I do mostly still photos but it works great for video as well. This lens is great for portrait photos, it offers a great depth of field. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

    This Lense has been the best versatile lense I own.. It’s helped me get both wide and zoom shots. It’s a good compromise for both worlds. Pairing this with my fx30 has been great. It’s very helpful for situations where you need to be flexible, and prime lenses just don’t offer what this does. I do recommend it!

    If you are getting into photography or videography and want a great lens that’s gonna last you a long time, then this is the lens for you.

    -Great autofocus
    -Quality design
    -Great price (if timing is right)

    Now I understand the price is not appealing but you can always trust the Open Box Deals if there are any available and paying a little bit more for the protection is worth it in the long run.

    Over all great lens. I’ve been very impressed with the quality of images I’ve been able to produce with my Sony a7iii. I’ve been working with it about 3 weeks in different lighting conditions and I can’t find anything I don’t like about it so far. It’s larger than the other lenses I own. It comes with a protective case and I love that extra piece of mind I have because of the case when traveling with it.

    Solid lens, great optics and options for varying focal lengths. GM 2 offers some more options for a price, but may be worth considering. My only issue was that this lens does not focus infinity, so the far off distance seems to remain slightly out of focus. GM 2 offers infinity focus.

    Absolutely horrible lens. I sold my Tamron 28-75 G2 to purchase this lens and ended up taking it back. Terrible lens flare and vignette when shooting in the sun. I never had that problem with Tamron. I shoot tons of sunsets and have never had a problem until using that GM. It should be a crime to sell a lens for 1500 that doesn’t even perform properly.

    This lens is well made and produced acceptable photos. Unfortunately, it is expensive for what you get. The Sigma art series is a superior lens and a cheaper alternative. Spend the extra money and get the GMII if you want a Sony lens.
