    It was the best of lenses options and it was the worst of cost….
    I Love the variety of the focal lengths but after the purchase I realized I’m more of a “Prime” guy. That restocking fee is Brutal.
    It takes up a huge amount of space in my bag, it’s very front heavy and for those reasons I had to return it.
    Went with the non native options and got a Sony 20mm, F1.8 and the Sony 50mm,f1.2, I am comfortable with these two focal lengths

    This was the pre-eminent lens in this category and is an absolute go to landscape lens for tourist rich kids at Burning Man. Why haul 3 primes when you know you can’t change them in the dust and drugs of a hot desert night? This is the answer to all those pro’s with their medium format Hasselblad 12mm fisheye poser images stealing your instagram influencer girlfriend with their superior web content. AND THIS IS THE EXACT SAME LENS JIMI HENDRIX USED TO PHOTOGRAPH THE BEATLES AT MONTEREY POP IN 1967. Own a piece of history and a yardstick of notoriety!

    i havent used it extensively yet. There does seem to be some distortion in some of the wide angle shots. Otherwise shots are good with good color and sharp.

    Greatest Sony lens I’ve bought. I used to regret not getting the 12-24gm. But this lens is flawless. Shark any f stop, or zoom level. Clarity and colors it shows is superb. This lens barely comes off the camera. Fast autofocus too. It’s changed my photography.

    Great lens with features that you would expect from Sony G Master lenses…definitely worth every penny, but it does need to be paired with a full frame upper end camera such as my Sony Alpha A7r4 which i absolutely love.

    It is an awesome lens for sure! Would get nothing but Sony lens if I had the money. But I returned and went with Sigma. OMG I can’t tell the difference. Beside maybe the warmth of raw photos but I edit my photos so that is an easy fixt

    Overall a good lens. It is portable and produces very clear video/images. The blurriness could be more, but of course there is the option to get other lower aperture lenses like the F1.8.

    I wasn’t so sure when purchasing this lens at first because of the price, but from all the vids I seen and to now owning this lens it’s all you will want in quality from a full frame lens. Although it’ll be a little heavy to some but not a big issue!

    About to be on my third one of these so I suggest getting the protection plan for as long as possible.

    I think my first one lasted a little over 2 years because my protection plan expired but the second one not nearly as long. I purchased it in April and now as of December the motor to focus it is dead on the new one too.

    Worst part is you can’t even manual focus either since it’s focus by wire, once the motor dies you have a $2300 paper weight.

    Other than that it’s a great lens lol.

    Only owned this briefly so far, but from what I have tested so far it lives up to the expectations for a G Master series lens. AF has been quick, and precise. No focus hunting to speak of. I have yet to push limits, but so far no vignetting with 2 filters attached in a test at F4. This is a heavier lens when compared to what it replaced (Tamron 20mm), but the added weight is not burdensome. Overall it is a excellent quality lens that provides a good focal length range for wide scenary imaging

    Incredible lens and definitely a must have lens for your bag. Build quality can be felt when you handle this thing. Price is expensive but you pay for the glass you get, remember that.
