Very much enjoy this radio ( I love all the presets are in one list and you’re not having to flip to “another set of of presets), – Car play is great, controls are easy. I do wish that when I plug the C cable in it would also connect to Carplay (or other apps) but the cable is just for charging… Carplay and Apps only available wirelessly. <-- Wasnt trying to force pairing with my vehicle on my passengers if they wanted to use their playlist or Maps,,,,

This is definitely a great after-market radio. It replaced a JVC radio that lasted about a week. I love that it has wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. It integrates well with my 2013 Prius (also needed the idatalink maestro for this which is a separate purchase $$$). A decent amount of customizability, but not overwhelming. I love how low profile it is too; other than the Sony brand, there’s nothing else unnecessary printed on the front (which was kind of a peeve with other radios). It’s matte finish screen makes for a less vibrant image, but it’s better that way because the glare was so bad on other radios; especially for my car. The matte screen also means that oily finger smudges aren’t as noticeable. As a side note, I did install this myself; I didn’t think it was too bad with the right tools, but use your own discretion.

Worked amazing after I installed it, wiring was straight forward and very easy to understand what was doing what, brackets worked well to mount it, and the unit itself has so many features and capabilities!
I wired it myself and did the entire install, never got confused once! The sound quality will depend on your speakers but it is a noticeable upgrade for me by far. The head unit does come with a gps tracker cube that lets you wirelessly connect to Apple Carplay (which is very quick to connect after starting the car) as well as a mic so you can make hands free calls and texts/use Siri features. It does have reverse camera and steering wheel mounted control capabilities but I did not use those as my car isn’t equipped with it and there was no need to add it for my use.
Overall VERY happy I decided on this unit, quality is well trusted!

right when i had it installed i started having issues with it. Geek squad been awesome trying to fix it, but I know for sure is the media receiver, doesn’t work correctly,always having issues with he sound going in and out, connecting to Carplay and the back up camera quality is not good at all and as of right now im still having issues with it. NOT GOOD QUALITY FOR THAT PRICEEE!!

Wireless Android auto is the best. A couple moments after the radio comes online, the maps automatically load.
The interface with satellite radio / Sirius XM is great. After the much needed firmware update you are able to fast-forward rewind and pause live satellite, just like you would any other DVR.
The sound isn’t as good as the previous model XAVAX3250, but should do well enough for most people.
The box advertises screen mirroring capabilities but I never found it.
I would buy this unit again just for the wireless Android Auto capabilities. Also works with Apple Play.

While it can do a lot more, I mainly chose it for backup camera input and wireless apple carplay for navigation, phone calls and text messages. It is responsive without any significant delays both to touch inputs or voice commands. I had it hooked up to my existing Alpine speakers and subwoofer in my Jeep Wrangler 2015. Sound output is good for music. Comes with microphone for voice control and works well with Siri. One issue is the screen which appears fine when you look at it straight ahead in the store display but it appears a little fuzzy when you look at it from an angle from the driver seat.

Love it so far, being able to adjust the viewing angle, contrast, and brightness of the monitor. The 13 band equalizer with four (4) personal settings as well as presets for the usual. I’d have to say, really sweet deal for the money. Did I mention it sounds great inspite of using ford factory speakers.

It works at least, unlike the Kenwood I tried. Only things I don’t like are the picture quality of the backup camera. It was much clearer on the Kenwood, and the screen is hard to see during the day, especially when the sun is shining in the cab of the truck. Makes using it for navigation difficult, which was half the reason I bought it. Wondering if any after market double din radios have as good of a picture as our brand new truck.

Very good radio. Love how it connects wirelessly to Apple CarPlay. Never have to take the iPhone out of my pocket. Siri works great with Apple Music and Apple Maps. . Only issue is if the sun hits the screen, becomes difficult to see. All considered, I am happy with my purchase.

I don’t know if it’s the product or the installation, but I’ve had this product for less than one year and I’ve been experience screeching and scratching when on a phone call and now the screen freezes up and I have to restart it to use it. Very frustrating but hoping BestBuy customer service will work with me to figure it out.

The screen is way too dark. It’s almost impossible to see if there’s any sun outside. There are no brightness options either, so you can’t make adjustments. I would definitely not recommend this and intend to have it removed from my vehicle.

I was initially hesitant as it has a resistive screen and not capacitive, however, I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the screen.
However, a couple of things that are of bother at this time, but should only take some getting used to/are limits of Android Auto, is you can’t customize the screen for a default layout in Android Auto and if you so much as step out of the vehicle a few steps with your phone it breaks the connection.
I wisht the middle button was more customizable past “Source” or “Mute”.

The radio is working great!! The geek squad installation is a different story. I went to have it installed and the technician said that I needed all the adapters and kits to install it. I showed him that there was already a radio similar to what was installing in the vehicle already. He insisted I had to buy everything which totaled $196 . I told him I would not buy anything I already had and he was not happy about it. So I ended up going to Underground Sound in Cleveland and they installed it with everything I already had in my vehicle. It did cost me $75 for the install but way better than $196 ! I gave it 2 stars because the radio is great but geek squad did me wrong.
