- Composite polypropylene cone woofer
A durable polypropylene diaphragm delivers deep bass, while suppressed peaks and dips in the mid and high frequencies ensure smooth integration with the tweeter. - Foam rubber surround
The woofer surround material is made of foam rubber, manufactured with an air-filled matrix structure that is light-weight and durable, providing optimal damping characteristics for responsive bass notes. - Silk soft-dome tweeter
Based on technology developed for our premium speaker designs, the soft-dome tweeter boasts a flat frequency response and wider dispersion. In addition, its silk diaphragm contributes to natural and smooth sound with good internal loss. - Progressive height rate spider
The acoustically-optimized spider allows for higher power handling and airflow, with a profile designed for more rapid and precise cushioning of the speaker cone. - Dynamic Air Diffuser
The integrated Dynamic Air Diffuser ensures efficient air circulation for smooth cone travel and cooling of the voice coil. - Easy installation
The smaller tweeter chassis and shallow woofer basket decrease physical interference with factory grilles, enabling easy installation in a wider variety of vehicles. - Environment in mind
The individual packaging of the XS-160GS, 98% of the cushions are made of paper materials, and compared to the prior model, printed information has been carefully considered for simplicity and length to reduce printer ink usage by approximately 90%.

I bought these simply to replace a front speaker that died. I’m aware that getting the most out of these would involve installing some aftermarket amps, but this review is based on the stock head unit amp.
The two main differences I noticed vs. the stock speakers were in:
Clarity – My test track of choice was These Days by The Foo Fighters. Throughout the track individual instruments were clear and easily distinguishable, with the tone not leaning too bright or too warm.
Bass – These are able to reach lower frequencies than stock, and also reduced the need to artificially bass-boost via the head unit’s equalizer. Of course, they aren’t intended to substitute for a subwoofer so we shouldn’t hold them to such expectations.

well sounding speaker. Very pleased with the purchase and installation

This is a pretty fair product. I will use the KS for a very long time and I am pretty satisfied with the end products. I have a fully amplified system so using them was not a loss in any kind.

I replaced all 4 door speakers with these. There was a little more detail in the mids and highs at the cost of loosing all of the bass vs the stock speakers in my honda. Theses are incomplete without a woofer. A speaker with a tweeter built in the middle is probably not gonna be good at bass. I returned these and went with a 2 way component system (a seperate woofer and tweeter w a crossover) this seems way better for bass.

Great speakers for the price, we are enjoying them.
