Works great! Easy to install! This system adds a lot of additional music! I highly recommend!

I was pretty skeptical on spending this much money on a system, taking into consideration it will not work internet is down.
Being in a new subdivision, utilities can still have issues so I was concerned. I am very happy I went with the complete Sonos system. No regrets!

It took forever to decide on a set up to play albums in my kitchen. I finally settled on connecting a sonos port to my old reciever (which is connected to my turntable). Now I can connect any Sonos speakers throughout the house to my turntable. I went with the Sonos 5 speakers and a Sonos subwoofer for the large open space covering my living room/dining room/kitchen. I am very happy with the result. I also bought a Sonos Era 100 speaker that I use in my bedroom. For the money, if you have a smaller space I think the Era 100 works just fine.

Easy to set up and use. Sounds great for my outside speakers

I bought this only because I learned that my newly purchased bluetooth turntable cannot talk to my sonos speakers (proprietary signals on Sonos). So, an unexpected purchase but I am now able to enjoy my vinyl.

Didn’t work with my equipment. The sales staff do not understand how this works. Returned to BB.
BruceE –
Excellent sound and music selection. Easy to operate using app on my phone or computer.

I had initially wanted a home theater receiver with Sonos compatibility but the simplicity and slightly additional power makes this a better option. I have one channel driving 4 outdoor rock speakers (8” drivers 8 Ohms) wired up in a parallel series. Total resistance on my speakers is roughly 9.2 ohms with a very long cable run. The other channel of the amp is reserved for 4 additional speakers under my patio awning.
Most home theater receivers run between 80-100 watts per channel unless you are spending a few grand. Having the Sonos amp gives me more volume than I would have gotten with a standard receiver. Plus the setup is a breeze – especially since the Sonos network was already setup.

Sonos is great. I have been a customer for 10 years. I wish they would find a way to bridge S1 and S2 cause I’ve invested a lot with the company, but other than that, their products are awesome and allows multiple zones or all playing in sync. Nothing better. I own 15 sonos products.

Sonos port allows you to add an existing non-Sonos equipment to your system. But as with added analog speakers it does come with sync issues. The issue is apparent with video+audio and sometimes will create a kind of echo/reverb effect. There is a delay adjustment you can perform through the app, but I have not the desire to play around with that at the moment.
In summary, I think the port is best when used for only audio systems. But if you want to add to a home theatre setup with video there might be sync issues.

This is perfect when you want to use existing components like an old school receiver.
Becca –
Works perfectly. We wanted to play our old record player through the new Sonos system. We have the outdoor, sound bar, wireless and bluetooth speakers throughout the house and it worked perfectly.
Housebound –
Great product. Works well with my whole house system. Great tbird party app integration to listen to the best content.
AbelardoN –
awesome device works like a charm – Planning to buy more sonos device
HMSLKN –
Great solution for blown out Zone 2 on my Denon A/V Receiver. The Sonos Amp is an easy, plug and play solution that allowed me to connected play music through my outdoor speakers without having to purchase another A/V receiver. My Definitive Technology outdoor speakers actually never sounded better — the Sonos Amp must be pushing much more power through to the speakers than my Denon AVR x3200w. If you’re looking to add to your existing Sonos system or you want to use Sonos to play music through existing non-Sonos speakers and you don’t want the added expense of purchasing a separate A/V receiver, this product is for you.

Just what it said it be. Hands off installation via the geeks.
Damian –
Easy to install and setup. Love the features. Definitely would recommend.
JanetC –
Very Comfortable and the sound is great, quiets out all the rest of the sounds so it’s just the music
MichaelM –
Very easy to operate. Made my receiver an asset. Good sound.

Got talked into this by a dopey consultant and it was not at all what I want. If you want to listen to your vinyl transformed to digital – fine. For me is sucked. Sonos is not anything i’d recommend beyond their Move Speakers, which are nice for playing from phones etc. But you don’t need this stupid thing for that.
DanielB –
Great product. Activates voice controls and looks great in my network rack
PaulB –
We recently bought and had two of these units installed. They interact with my expensive sound systems without problem and require no further attention once properly set up. If they continue to do so long-term I will remain more than just satisfied.
KatherineB –
With this device we are now enjoying music throughout the house in the rooms where we have a sonos speaker and it’s all controlled from my phone. Enhanced our lives!

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do!! This is paired with my outdoor 55” Samsung Tv. Everything is working perfectly and I got it on sale. The geek squad from Best Buy made sure I knew how everything worked before they left.

JosephH –
Very easy to use the product and it connects my existing equipment with ease

I am able to easily play my turntable and a cd player to any of my Sonos speakers throughout the house. I missed the experience of vinyl and cd albums. There’s just something about having a physical disk or record that makes the experience of listening to music…well, an experience. Maybe I’m just nostalgic and dating myself. But I do love it. I stream music too from the app but this opens my world up that much more. I love Sonos products. I hope this doesn’t become obsolete like my connect gen 1 that I don’t know what to do with.
TimR –
Using this with a Russound amp. Works great and exactly what we were looking for. We can play music from the Sonos selections. This also allows us to connect music from our phones as well. Very pleased.
ThomasB –
Excellent media player. I connect my turntable and CD player to the Port. Play connected equipment to my Sonos system. Arc, sub and two ERA 300 on Sanus speaker stands.
The sound is awesome.
How did I connect two devices to the Port? I used two “Y” cables. Two female RCA to one male RCA cable. I purchased one RED marked and one White marked. I purchased high end cables and not those cheap ones. I crossed the cables as I wanted stereo and not mono. That is important step. It’s a pricey Sonos player but well worth it if you want clear sound production and want to play your legacy turnable, CD player, AV receiver Etc to the Sonos sound system.
See photo of the Y cables needed to connect two devices to the Port.

I love my new Sonos system which allows me to have whole house music and play my large collection of CD’s
RodF –
This allows me to enjoy my 300 CD Player content within SONOS. It was especially great listening to our favorite Christmas CDs during the holidays!
AnthonyC –
It is not streaming music This is very frustrating! I bought this to enjoy music throughout my house and nothing
AmyS –
We are very pleased with this unit and the ease of the app.
IrisK –
It does just what I wanted it to do – ensure that our large collection of digitized music can play through our old, yet still excellent receiver and speakers.
starkeraving –
Sonos has a great product. I love being able to control music etc. from my phone. Adding this piece enabled me to connect my photograph and play my vinyl as well.
ScottS –
Great way to integrate a home theater system with Sonos speakers to get whole home audio without all the wiring.
JamesW –
We are using this to connect our vinyl output to our Sonos system. It is incredible.
user698340 –
Great product works as intended, very good sound quality

I have my Sonos Port media streamer integrated into my outdoor audio systems which includes the Sonance SGS 8.1 amp and speaker system, Sonos amp, 50″ Insignia TV, Sonos Beam Gen 2 soundbar, and a pair of Polk Audio Atrium 8 SDI speakers. I primarily use the Port to stream my favorite Spotify and Pandora music lists/radio stations, although there are a ton of other streaming services available as well. The music streaming through my various speaker systems sounds incredible. Great little product.
