I got my first Sonos sound bar several years ago but when my newly married daughter called to ask what sound bar she should get for her new TV there was only one answer. Her new husband was able to get this bad boy up on the wall under the TV and they report that it fills the entire upstairs living room, dinning room and kitchen with warm, solid sound. Needles to say this family for generations will be a Sonos family.

Picked up a new av cabinet and needed to move my Sonos beam upstairs. Fits and sounds better in new cabinet. Paired with 4 play 1s.

Soooo happy to see a certified refurbished soundbar! Jumped at the price as I have been wanting another one for some time. Came perfectly packaged, all parts included even the optical cable. Sounds and quality are exactly what I wanted. Thanks BB.

This is the best sound bar I’ve owned. The sound quality is unmatched.

Well, my first Soundbar only lasts one week and stop working. However, exchange it for the same model and all seem to be working perfectly. Love the way it performs and sounds.

I bought this to replace my older Harmon/Kardon sound bar. The Playbar has a great sound, good separation and the fact the there are multiple drivers to push the speakers helps a lot. I have been using this along with the Sonos Bass Module to listen to my music as well. It was easy to setup, using the Sonos app I think helps with making the sound more filling in the room. Matter of fact, I have not been using my Bowers and Wilkins Series DM 604 S3 speakers to listen to music, this sound bar has room filling sound.

Had wanted the Soundbar for a while but couldn’t stomache the price tag. Jumped at the certified refurbished model and it’s good as new. Highly recommend.

The sound bar is good and has great tones. At the same time it is over priced.

So, this is a difficult review to write. I am usually very thorough in my research and thought I was here. Long story short, there may be better options if I had researched a little more. So, here’s the review.
The sound is VERY good. But I think of it like buying an old Ferrari vs an old Mercedes, not that I’ve had either. But the old sports cars did one thing well, they went fast. But if you wanted comfort, ease of use and increasing technology, while still getting respectable speed and handling, you wanted a Mercedes. Sonos, in my opinion, is the Ferrari. The positive is, again, one thing, great sound. In other words, it goes really fast. On the downside, it isn’t very comfortable or…even technologically advanced. Hear are the negatives.
1. I spent some 6 phone calls and maybe as much as 10 hours getting these set up to a) work, b) work with Alexa and c) work with Amazon Music unlimited. YES, TEN hours and SIX calls.
2. The Playbar connects by Optical Cable, not HDMI. Doesn’t that make you kind of want to say, gee it has a great Cassette tape player? Well, maybe I’ll be a little less harsh and say it has a great CD player? (Just to be clear for those of you who may be slow with analogies, there is no tape or CD player.)
3. The Playbar works with ONLY one remote. Yep, if you’ve got several different remotes, like most of us, only one can be used to control your Playbar. On the upside, I THINK it will work with multiple remotes if they are the same i.e. your cable providers remotes.
I should have looked harder at the Beam but just wanted a bigger speaker in the Playbar for my great room. Of course, as you’ve probably seen in other reviews, the Playbar does not fit under my TV like my old LG soundbar
I’ve seen reviews indicating Bose is persnickety in setting up but wonder if it is not, ultimately, more technologically advanced? Or, in keeping with the analogy, does it have power steering, power locks and windows, and air conditioning?

Super easy to set up (once my phone was charged up). Sonos just guides you through the whole process. “Do this Now”, hit continue, “do this next” hit continue. SO EASY. Sound is great, too.

I love my Sonos system! Flexible, great sound for the whole house.
specs22 –
Sonos went above and beyond when they engineered this soundbar, as long as you can deal with the Optical audio in, and lack of HDMI-ARC, it’s a beautiful single speaker solution for your home theater setup. 🙂

I was sold hard by my local Best Buy to invest in a Sonos system, and was initially happy with the Soundbar and Sonos One speakers. However, over time, I have found all Sonos products to be extremely high maintenance! All of my speakers started randomly disconnecting from my network after about two years, and I was told by Sonos it was my network (even though NO other devices had any issues). I upgraded to a mesh node system, but it hasn’t changed the issues with Sonos. So, every time Sonos unexpectedly disconnects, I have to go through the entire set-up process again and again and again. For the price you pay, and the hard sell on how user friendly these speakers are, this is unacceptable.

The sound bar is easy to install and sound is clear

Brings home viewing to a new level. Great sound projection.

Wow, this was a superb buy, the sound bar is awesome. I did some research and checked the customer ratings on the BB site, the 4-5 star ratings were spot on. Range of sound and the crispness was even better than I expected.

Works great! Just like new. Surround setup was easy!
To bad the Atmos bar is not available.
This is good enough for most people at 1/2 the price

Poor condition and very poorly packed in the shipping box.
