This works well.
The only downside is that you can’t insert your own SIM card into this. You have to use their service.
However, their service seems good and reasonably priced.
They also seem to have good customer service.

Purchased product but when I tried to download the APP what a disaster, it kept stating that the version was no longer supported but there was no other APP option, tried to resolve issue with customer support, another joke, no one understands English, after a few days of cooling off tried again with my daughter’s help and she too was having the same problems, after about 1.50 hrs on the “chat” site we finally were able to make a representative aware of the problem, they could not fix “the APP” but were able to sign me on, now I just have to choose the dates to begin the service. I truly hope I will not run into a problem again.

This has done what I need it to do, and that is give me internet in more places. I like that it switches between carriers to get the best signal. I’ve seen it switch between AT&T and T-Mobile, but never Verizon. The documentation doesn’t mention carriers at all. While the data seems expensive, you can buy it in blocks that don’t expire with is great for infrequent use.

It took a little bit of time to register properly the first time but once it is done it works as expected

Amazing device, my wife ran her computer for school work without a single hiccup for 5 days off the grid camping. We will be using this for internet services on all our future trips to keep up with my wife’s schooling.

The orange puck has so far delivered hot spot access like I’ve needed. I have used it in multiple spots in our state and will be trying it out more as we travel.
Morgana –
I love this gadget! It has worked everywhere I’ve needed Wi-Fi and it is nice looking as well. The Solis plans are very affordable and very flexible. Very happy with this purchase!

I appreciate the no contract for data that this hotspot affords the user. I have used this all over the country and only had one issue with connectivity, which was in downtown Fort Worth, Texas. It was simple to connect and use.
bkknight –
great for travel internationally and great plans for usage

Delivery was fast and product was in good condition. The only problem was the connection was slow.

This little device was great on a recent road trip – I was able to work from the car while my partner was driving. The only frustrating thing is that a few times, (when switching carriers I guess), it would drop the connection for a minute. I got cut off in a couple meetings, but it always got me back online quickly. But overall, reliable, convenient, FAR better wifi than I’d get using my phone as a hotspot, and the daypasses are affordable.

Worked great! Used it to work from our RV in a pretty remote campground. Four stars because it did drop service once but customer service was amazing and got me up and running right away.
Enrico –
So far, this has been great. No disappointments although I am using it in a city only when I have problems with internet service through an internet provider. The unit is small and the instructions were great. I did have a question for customer service and they answered on a chat line on the app.

So far, so good. bought this device to use while traveling to assure wifi access. It has been easy to set up, and works fine used locally. Perhaps should wait for more challenging use. It’s reassuring to know I have Geek Squad to assist if needed.
Steve –
Bought this to replace a Verizon Jetpack that was costing me 50 dollars a month even when I didn’t use it. This unit cost less and since the data plan I picked never expires I am saving a lot of money each month. Since it always scans and connects to the strongest cell system in the area I gives the best speeds possible every time
Nothing –
Cannot use in las vegas. Delay my work. Slow to connect internet. Return it will require 45 restock fee. Feels like spend $45 on buying trash

We used our new Solis driving from Phoenix to Indy. It worked extremely well. We are very satisfied with our Solis and would recommend this product.
Tony –
The solis lite mobile hotspot worked very well for me. I used it out in the country side for a party. I am DJ and I needed WiFi for my laptop computer program to play music. Signal was strong the entire time.
mike –
purchased to use while camping. connection quality was good and was able to use 1 device connected. any other connections would greatly slow down the system. do not expect blazing fast speeds with this. found that it was not even good enough to stream when settings were at sd quality and ended up having no use for it. it does work as expected and the daily global pricing was best option. i like that you can pay as you go so your not wasting money when not in use

I bought the Solis unit to be used as a portal mobile Wi-Fi in my vehicle as some places that I travel through for my job are not always cell friendly. There is a particular stretch of rural highway that I travel frequently where my Verizon cell goes to zero bars in spots. I had success with a built in AT&T Wi-Fi in my previous vehicle but my replacement vehicle did not have a built in so I purchased the Solis as it advertised that it would automatically lock onto the strongest network in the area. Needless to say, I have been extremely disappointed. In the areas that I need it most, it will take a very long time to lock on to a signal and will not always stay locked in. This is especially frustrating when I’m supposed to be on a Teams meeting for work while driving. I called tech support and explained my issue and told them how the previous AT&T Wi-Fi unit I was using had very little trouble in this area but for some reason the Solis would not lock onto the AT&T signal on a consistent basis. I was told to do a reset on the unit. That really didn’t work. Sometimes the unit would work fine in the rural areas but it would not lock in on a good signal on a regular basis and I got tired of pulling over to try to work with it. I think this would probably work fine as a “sit in one place” device in an area that is not out in the middle of nowhere…although AT&T still works there……but as a mobile Wi-Fi for your vehicle, it’s awful. Since I’ve had it for almost 6 months, I guess I’m stuck with it so I’ll use up the data I’ve pre-purchased and then do who knows what with it.
PittyBox –
It’s nice if there is a cell signal and it will pick the best carrier Verizon, AT&T, or t-mobile. But it’s honestly not worth the money when you can use your phone as a hotspot.
donH –
We just had to go through a cable less/ Wi-Fi less month and while we are T mobile phone users and had their hot spots due to towers being down the signal was weak. So I searched and found Solis Lite it immediately got us back online on multiple carriers depending on which window I placed it in!!! We Love Solis, and living in Hurricane prone Fl it’s a must!!!
AlexG –
Has worked very good for me. Your location will determine the speed you get. For the most part I can work fine from anywhere if I’m not downloading files. There’s some locations were speed is phenomenal. Love that I can pay as you go.

On 11/19 Saturday I bought a 1GB pay as you plan. I used it for 1/2 mainly browsing websites. Both my phone and MacBook use low data mode for Solis. Next, the app says you have no plan. If I exhausted the data, it should say that. There is no visibility in what device used how much data. There is no support, the app live chat support no one responds. The return windows was 14 days so stuck with this device. Overall, I cannot recommend this device to anyone.
livesonwater –
I bought the Solis-Lite 4G LTE Flobal Wi-Fi hotspot for summer Arts & Craft markets to ensure I had a secure internet connection. If I use it I cannot use my Square to accept payments. The Customer Support from Solis/Skyroam is non-existant!!! The website doesn’t work as it NEVER lets me sign in, even changing my password EVERY TIME I want to log in. The device works great on our patio, but is not an option for a secure connection when used in conjuction with a Square. I hope it works when we are camping remotely, but I have yet to try it. Maybe it would be a good thing if it didn’t work. I am trying to ‘turn off’ the service until summer, and I cannot even get in touch with the company to do that. If you buy this and have success with it. I hope you’ll include that in your reviews. Good Luck!!!
CalebF –
Better than your phone’s hotspot *probably*
Can handle streaming & downloading media pretty good. Best for travelers. Not the greatest for gaming, but that can depend on the signal in your area.
AshleyR –
Best hotspot device we’ve ever owned. It works everywhere. My husband is a truck driver and he always has internet to watch tv, use his gps, use his laptop. AMAZING PURCHASE
AYM1 –
Good little wifi box, will never have to worry about searching for a signal again.
Seussman –
Worked fine out in the boondocks A bit long to load. Over all it did what i needed it to do.
BrianA –
Fantastic product, incredibly easy to set up and has flexible data plans. Never had any issue with speed either as it connects to whatever network has the best signal for your location.
LeahR –
I hate this thing so much.
I purchased this for a road trip from Arizona to my home in Alaska in my campervan. I work remotely and needed an internet solution for my time in Canada. I only get 5gb of Data in Canada with my cellular plan and I was looking for a good solution for work.
I purchased this because it offers a North America Data plan and supposedly runs off of all major carrier cell towers, so in theory, if there is cell service on a cellular provider, I should also have internet. I don’t and it is garbage.
I can have full bars of LTE on my phone and somehow, my stupid orange puck can’t seem to find any internet. Additionally, if there is internet it can say I have full bars on the Solis app but it cuts out severely on every single TEAMS call I have during the day and I constantly get “reconnecting” errors. I am sitting in the middle of town when this happens. There is cellular service.
I’m pretty sure Solis gets the worst, lowest level, leftover data blocks from the carriers. At nearly $100 for 50 gigs of internet, it ought to work well.
I hate this stupid thing. It doesn’t work. Don’t buy it. It is a glorified paperweight.
ElizabethR –
Works well for travel and has some great data plans.
GiovanniM –
Great performance. Acceptable time searching for 4G networks. Versatile data plans.
KKS66 –
This was an easy set up. Took me just a couple of minutes. It also works very well. I can’t wait to get out where I can camp and make sure it is getting the cell signals for my data usage. Good point is that it uses all cell company signals and not just one you subscribe to. The bad thing – the cost of the data is actually quite high and I hope this comes down. I hope to be able to work on the road and I love camping. Bring the cost on the data usage down and it will get a 5 star for sure.
GlenLaConey –
While I have read the positive reviews about Solis, and though I was initially satisfied with it, my last four or five purchases of Solis data was depleted before I had a chance to turn on the device and use it. Solis support was unavailing. I had to resort to lodging a complaint with the FTC today, August 21, 2023. I’ll video and audio record another purchase of data and device usage as evidence for further action. Now I’m in the market for a new hotspot. Perhaps I’ll try Motorola.
Benj –
This has been great to get work done on the road within a 10 mile radius of home picking up mostly AT&T signal. In places my cellphone has 2-3 bars, the hotspot typically has 3 bars or more. In very pleased with it after a couple weeks of use.
Edotsentem –
Travelinv around hotel wifi sucks i mainly use this for online gaming woth frienfs and it gives me consistent download and upload speeds as low as 3mbs which is eboigh for it to run smoothly. Call of duty with this works.
ValerieB –
This hotspot was not able to catch any WIFI providers. just an hour southwest of Mpls/St Paul . I was so hoping that this would be the answer to me finding a signal. Took the Solis hotspot back to Best Buy
user478626 –
It was easy to set up. I bought it for an international trip to Mexico. The connection was spotty at best and I was not able to rely on it.
MinhT –
This is an excellent product and must have while traveling internationally and locally or camping . I traveled to Europe with my Solis, I was able to use my Solis with very powerful signal to make calls and search the internet. It was easy to install and compatible with any electronic devices with Wi-Fi capability. In summary, Solis is a must, if you are an international traveler
SantiagoU –
I recommend this portable internet, it is fabulous and very necessary, it also works in hundreds of countries, gloval Internet, ideal for traveling and the Internet plans are very cheap, I am very happy with the purchase, thank you

Bought this hot spot for traveling to Japan and Taiwan for my entire family. We had Wi-Fi without problems while in both country. If you travel a lot and need to maintain connected & share photos with friends and family while overseas , this is a good hotspot to have.
TravelerJ –
After renting pocket Wi-Fi’s on my last two trips, I decided to purchase my own and went with this product. I purchased it through their site over black Friday and purchased 20 days of unlimited data for our trips. I usually stock up on data during their 50% sales! There is no expiration date after purchase I believe. It ends up being a great value when phone companies charge $10 a day for international or rent one with whatever plan you chose.
My husband set this up and I don’t remember it being hard. We watched the video and the box came with instructions. They send a separate email for the data and it’s loaded to your account on the app for use. Connection was easy and the battery life is pretty good! We used it as a backup to our battery packs for all day adventures.
Sometimes you have to restart or refresh connections when going from one place to another but it’s not a huge deal. I like the look of their new 5G pack so might upgrade to that at some point, but for now, this will get me through my travels for the next year.
Worked well in Peru – Heading for Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Thailand and Japan before the end of the year.
BrodyG –
Love it great product easy to use has monthly plans and other options for wifi.
KaiaW –
I got this for college because the wi-fi is bad at my school and it’s great. If you want to buy more data you can,but every month thiers more add for free.
Bernard –
Works great. The data plans available will work for anyone’s budget
Kris –
We actually bought this to use on trips overseas but during a recent internet outage at our house, we activated it with a plan for the US. I like that we can choose from many different options to pay for the plan that suits us best. For now we went with the 5G that never expires because we don’t know how much we are going to use it. We can still add a plan when we are overseas. I love the flexibility. It was easy to set up the plan we chose and we have not had any problems with the connectivity.
JulieS –
The solis lite has been great to take with while traveling to be sure we have internet when we need it. I will say it does lag for us when trying to stream TV with a fire stick. But for the most part is works great.
OscarA –
Very good product, user friendly..price is just right.

This works really well. It finds a connection and connects within seconds. I use it to let the kids get online at the park. It also may be a handy helper if my internet goes down at home. I like it better than using my iphone hotspot.
