    This A/C support could be excellent but fell very short for me.
    I carefully followed instructions and finally got it screwed into my sill. Only to find it would not fit my old (1924) house sill and window casing. So I had to leave off the part that hits the side of the house, and use the horizontal support only.
    Another major issue are the huge Phillip’s head screws that stripped too easily.
    It’s in, but not sure I’ll be able to get the screws out of the support, for Pre-Winter removal.
    If you have a newer house and Pre-drill all screw holes, you will be happy!

    This device was not adaptable for install – requires a specific window type for an easy install. Only supports an AC OF A SMALL SIZE. Seemed sturdy. Returned item.

    The Smart Choice – Smart Choice® Support Bracket for Most Air Conditioners Up to 80 lbs came with clear instructions and with everything that I needed to be able to support my air conditioner. I recommend taking your time, being patient and reading the instructions a few times. Also, best to plan out how you are going to do it and go over it a few times to avoid frustration

    Previously purchased the shorter version (for the 80-pounder) but decided to use this longer one instead to support the entire depth of my 10k BTU A/C and with inches to spare.
    Very easy to install; however, I used shorter mounting screws instead of the ones it came with–they look like industrial-quality but just way too long.

    it was diffiitcult to figure out at first. says no screwing into any building or structure required- but it does need this. that braces it to the structure you use it in. but it uses minimal screws, and does not work if your window frame is nontraditional. mine sticks out for aesthetics or design- but this is great- set up in daylight.
