    So far so good. This thing is powerful at 1 1/4 hp and whisper quiet. I did research for three weeks on new disposals after my old badger of 10 years needed replacing. I was willing to pay up to $500 for top of the line but I found it for less than $200. Installation is standard. Don’t overt tighten the drain when installing. This is a large unit than other models so it does take up some room under the cabinet. This unit is corded, I did not take it apart to see if you can wire directly. It’s built pretty solid.

    I did have to trim the black rubber insert so that the water could go through, just cut off the tips. The unit is quiet and strong

    I love using this garbage disposal. It grinds everything, chicken bones, advacado pits. Etc. I also installed myself because total tech was over 2 weeks out. Easy install.

    Thought it would be alot quieter for the price but it isn’t. It gets the job done. Installation was a disaster. I was scheduled then cancelled. Schedule again to only have a third party talk bad about Best Buy which was unprofessional. Bottom line, I do like the disposal. I have noticed that it hasn’t had any lingering odors. I usually have to pour bleach into my old one. I like that it is hard for utensils and towels to get stuck in it. The stopper thingy is pretty sturdy

    This thing is powerful! It chews up anything you throw at it. The magnets in the mouth of the disposal is a great idea. It caught some small spoons and things like that from falling into the garbage disposal a couple times. The rubber strainer let’s very little stuff to fall into the disposal, so it makes it a bit easier to remove things you don’t want to go into the disposal. But it can be annoying having to remove that strainer Everytime to clear the sink. But here is the important thing. Do not ever turn on the disposal without the strainer or something covering the sink hole. If you don’t, the stuff is going to FLY EVERYWHERE.

    The install was pretty simple for me anyway. As I do have plumbing experience. But I think any person was some type of plumbing knowledge should have no difficult whatsoever installing this garbage disposal.
    As I have installed the last 2 weeks and it’s used just about every day. And so far there’s no problem and it seems pretty well made.

    Ian so glad I listened to Nick at Best Buy and spent a little extra. This is the BEST hands down garbage disposal I have ever had. So quiet I had to keep checking to see if it was working. LOL.
    Took me less than 45 minutes to remove the old one and install a new one.

    This product destroys any ‘fallout’ that might come through the catch-all and gets rid of it, eliminating the usual “stick your hand in there and grab that unknown object.” The old one I had (presumably the one that most houses have when they buy new) was only 1/2 HP….this is more than double the power. GO FOR IT.

    I got this to replace my old Insinkerator Badger that broke. I couldn’t find a better price at 1.25 HP and all the reviews are good. This is powerful and quiet, does a good job so far. I only had 2 problems installing: The pipe come out further and is longer than the one on my old disposer so I coukdny use it. The magnet guard WILL NOT fit, the opening isn’t big enough. It wont sqeeze in behind the screws.

    This is a 1.25 HP garbage disposal that was replacing a 1/3 HP disposal that died, so I was pleasantly surprised how quiet this thing is. The warranty is for 12 years, unusual for almost any appliance these days. Pulls 7.5 amps, so be sure to check your dishwasher amp requirement if they are on the same breaker, like my setup is.
