    I’ve never liked the stock lens that came with the a6000. This lens, although prime, is a much higher quality that can facilitate professional results. Excellent for close proximity (not macro) subjects.

    I’ve been shooting with my Sony A6300 for 2 years. While I love the flexibility of my telephoto this prime lens is game changing. This lens has rekindled my love for photography. And the images that it produces are awesome. The bokeh is so good. But if you don’t need it the sharpness of my images is awesome.

    It is a little on the big side. Which adds weight. Makes the camera not as pocketable like when you use the kit 16-55mm.

    But I debated on purchasing this lens for a while. And it was well worth the wait. If you shoot on a Sony APS-C this is a must have piece of glass.

    The Bokeh that the Sigma 16mm produces is absolutely beautiful! Since purchasing my Sony a6400 I’ve been looking for a new lens to add alongside the kit lens. I’ve done a lot of research and this one has been at the top of my list. I was finally able to catch it in stock @ Best Buy and pulled the trigger. Without having built in stabilization, you’ll get you’re best video with a tripod or a gimbal if your camera doesn’t have it. The Sigma 16mm takes excellent pictures day or night with the 1.4 aperture. If you’re looking for a lens that’s great for low light and want to add that bokeh effect to your photos, the Sigma 16mm 1.4 can’t be beat for the price.

    This is the absolute best wide angle prime (24mm equivalent on a full frame). Fast aperture, super sharp, can’t ask for more. I stopped using it because I bought the Sony 16-55mm zoom however if you’re not a zoom person than this is the absolute best wide angle prime for Sony’s APS-C lineup, period. Don’t even second guess it.

    It’s about 20x better than that Sony 10-18mm wide angle zoom, and blows every other prime out of the water.

    This is an amazing and sharp lense!! The buttery smooth Bokeh results in some amazing pictures, I used it mainly for car photography and coming from a kit lens this is a night and day difference! Would recommend for anyone looking for a wide angle lense for a sony e-mount.

    I purchased this prime lens for my Sony A6400. I plan on using it for both livestreaming and YouTube videos shot in my home. If you plan on using this on the fly and out in the world, make sure your camera has IBIS though because this lens does not have OSS.

    I use the a6000. I am an intermediate user. This lens is sharp and wide! I use it for stills and movie. The focus is FAST in great lighting. There are no issues and would recommend to other beginners looking for a set focal length sharp lens.

    I purchased this lens at the end of July 2021 and so far, it’s been amazing. Not only have I been able to use it for taking photos and videos, but I’ve been able to use it as a webcam lens with my a6400 and capture card. If you’re looking for something just to take photos, I would probably recommend the 30mm, but 16mm is more versatile in my opinion. The 16mm adds wide angle capabilities and webcam use in my scenario.

    This is the best wide angle lens for sony e mount system. Picture quality is great and build quality is awesome. It is a heavy but that is a sign of craftsmanship I think. I loved this lens.
    Sadly I had to sell as I switched over to fuji but still kept my A73.
    Sigma just released the same lens for fuji system so I am going to re-buy this.

    I’m relatively new to understanding all that goes into photography, as in, I didn’t know that to get that wonderful blurred out background, you needed a lens with an f-stop of 1.4 or 1.8 and such. Nor did I “get” the millimeter numbers, but plenty of YouTubers were raging about this particular lens.

    And OK, now I get it. I can film myself with the lens about a foot in front of me, and it picks up practically the whole room. So great for talking-head videos! And the color and bokeh are amazing! It’s perfect for this use and I’m so glad I got it! The price was pretty reasonable too!

    The image qaulity is really good. There is some distortion because it is a wide lens. I woukd recomend this over the sony 15mm f1.4 because of the price. That sony lens is almost as much as its full frame conpetitor sony 20mm f1.8 which is an amazing lens with lens chromatic aboration and better corner sharpness. Dont buy sony lenses for apsc that costs as much as full frame lenses get these sigma lenses instead.

    I’ve had this lens for 8 months. Beautiful quality, nice bokeh. I use it with my ZV-E10. If you are looking at it for a Sony camera, save your money and just buy the body. This is a must buy IMO.
