Gamerman85 –
These ssd are top notch but so people know because i see all of them sold out. I am assuming its because of the news of ps5 opening up the internal drives soon, the ones bestbuy sells ate not the ones with heatsink and according to sony you need one with heatsink
Ramdragon –
It’s one great ssd, gave me the space i needed for my ps5 and it exceeded the requirements for my system. Very pricey but I was able to get it after the restock

If your looking for the firecuda 530 series for the ps5, I would purchase this product and then just add a heatsink. Its alot cheaper vs the 530 with heat sink. I bought the sabrent heat sink on amazon for 20$. And the drive was on sale for 420. So 440$ retail vs 510$(on sale) for the heat sink 530 series drive.

Great nvme drive read and write speeds are great and longevity is class leading

GREAT PURCHASE!!!! SUPER FAST! WORTH THE UPGRADE!!!
Chris –
extremely fast and reliable 4th gen ssd m.2 drive.
PlayStation –
Bought nvme for my PlayStation 5 and it’s a top notch drive . Speeds are as advertised and product beats it competitor because the endurance of the drive is rated higher
Mikey –
Installed in ps5 works great and pretty fast too, just needed to get a heat sink.

After careful scrutiny / review of online resources, I’ve plugged 3 of these guys into a RAID 0. Very much unnecessary, as the controller is the limiting factor,. RAID0 x2 drives or just put them by them selves without a RAID. Fastest on the market (people will debate with you on this) definitely top 3, if not #1. Pricey.

Fast and simple to install storage increase for my PS5.
Chrisj –
A very reliable ssd that gave my PS5 a much needed space, I paired it with the sabrent heat sink and it is doing a great job.
GameDrive –

I purchased this to expand the space in my PS5. Unfortunately, the internal SSD that’s built into the system isn’t that large. It’s approximately 850GB and you can fill that up quite quickly considering the OS for the PS5 etc eats up quite a bit of space. Then add on a few games and those games add-ons and the space dwindles quickly.
I already had a 8TB for my PS4 games moving from a PS4 and a PS4 Pro. PS5 games are quite large these days and many gaming studios no longer take the time to compress them. I wanted the 4TB but it was a little out of my budget so I settled for the 2TB. I’m the type I like to put the largest capacity disk in my console so I get some longevity out of it even when the next-gen comes out. I coupled this SSD with the Sabrent Heatsink for PS5 Consoles since it’s the heatsink and cover all in one. I notice a negligible difference but I know my games load like they’re screaming. You literally can’t blink and it’s already up and ready to run. It also moves games over super fast. I now don’t have to make the decision of deleting something because I lack space. And even though the PS5 is backward compatible with PS4 games, you can only play PS5 games from the SSD’s. (i.e. I could move some PS5 games over when I ran out of space, but if I wanted to play them I had to move them back to the internal SSD)
I know you may be thinking well why is it so expensive? I wondered the same I looked up some detailed reviews and decided to go with the FireCuda because of its longevity and 5yr warranty. If you look at other drives in this category and similar they don’t have the ability to be overwritten for the length this does. If you can remember far back enough, when SSD’s first released that was the biggest issue that kept many from switching to them. The overwrite lengths back then were short and the drives were even MORE expensive than they are now. My, how times have changed.

Picked this up to go with the asus oled zenbook i bought last month and no complaints. Super fast can’t comment on actually speeds since my laptop only goes up to 6900ish, limitation of the laptop not the m.2.
Next pc build will have these or the next gen of firecuda.

Benches at almost 7000MB up and down. Very pleased with the performance of the media. I have the 2 TB version.
Mcnewb –
Truthfully a great SSD, speeds are great it really is a upgrade to my build and very happy with my purchase.
Shopper1 –
This is a very nice 4th gen nvme drive with superior write
and read speeds. It is by far one of the top ssds on the
market. I bought this and a seagate firecuda at the same
time. While this is a top of the line drive, it was thoroughly
blown away by the firecuda. If you are looking for speed, either one of these will do the trick.
bigdaddyrob1975 –
I got the Seagate Firecuda 530 2TB on sale regularly $459.99 got it $249.99 this 4 gen SSD with heatsink is the perfect combination for the PS5 it meets all of Sony requirements PLUS a lot more it lighting fast and simple to install if you are reading this thing about get it……don’t think to hard just get it you won’t be sorry!!!!

Quasar9 –
You know you’re buying quality product when you buy this memory card…no one else’s can match the speed of these. must say though I Had a real great buying experience than ever before. Super Fast Service. Never Thought BestBuy would be this good.
TBone –
Super fast Gen 4 M.2 NVMe storage. Best available at the time I was into my build. I have 5TB of available space between the 3 M.2 electronic storage cards I installed. Much better replacement for the old mechanical 7200 RPM (or slower) HDD. Lag time and search time are over by comparison.
BenK –
Very fast, stable and installation was easy. I like knowing that I have Seagate’s excellent recovery warranty if anything goes wrong.
AndrewD –
It’s incredible how fast these drives are. I wish I had upgraded sooner!
JacobR –
Load times on games is insanely fast! Easy install and set-up on my new build.
Catdad –
I got this to increase the storage of my computer. So far it has been working great, the games run smoothly.
jspangler25 –
best buy gets it to you fast .just as fast as this ssd runs .got it at a great deal and i am very satisfied.
Rvalle –
I added this as a secondary drive to install only games from Steam, etc. It works extremely well at loading with its Gen 4 interface with the motherboard. Seagate drives are also known for their longer than typical lifespan. The drive was very easy to install and configure in the Windows “Disk Management” section. Be sure you use disk management in order to setup the drive after installation, otherwiseWindows won’t be able to use the drive. I highly recommend this for your build.
JoshuaH –
Absolute beast I love everything about it. Easy to use with no issues and handles anything you can throw at it.
NickC –
Hands down the best ssd for the PlayStation 5. It’s a bit expensive vs the other brand but you pay for the piece of mind.
JonathanI –
It is very fast. Apps open near instantly. No issues with installation. I do recommend a small heatsink if your motherboard doesn’t have a built in one though I didn’t see any problems.
taconinja001 –
Seagate firecuda 530 is a great 4th gen nvme w/ built in heatsink. it runs good speeds for gaming.
GaryB –
Great upgrade from my previous very fast
Highly recommend.
rafael6867 –
I have no cons in reviewing this product because it simply does what it’s supposed to do. It’s a little bit more expensive than other SSD’s but you simply get what you pay for…reliability, stability and just an overall great product. Highly recommend this!!

Super fast and easy to install it does get hot so you will need a heatsink but for me my system came with one but very reliable and fast
