Put up a 75″ Samsung tv, about 80 pounds, up over the fireplace with this one–very happy with it.
Being able to slide the sides out gives you plenty of flexibility in mounting–I installed it over a fireplace with 16′-spaced wood studs, and expanding it out just a couple inches allowed me to put six lag bolts across 3 separate studs to secure it. Also very easy to adjust/level after mounting (each TV bracket has a screw up top to raise/lower after you hang the tv).
The TV brackets tilt up/down and also extend out a few inches, so it’s easy to pull the tv out a bit after hanging it and plug in cables and such; also allows you to tilt the tv horizontally a little bit. Pretty low-profile when you push the TV back against the wall, too, so it looks good when it’s all settled.
Only complaint I had, and it’s fairly minor, is that there’s no paper template included; i was too lazy to make one, so you end up having to hold the mount up on the wall when marking and double-checking before drilling holes, and it’s got a little heft to it (but also not the heaviest mount I’ve ever put up; actually not bad considering how wide you can adjust it). It’s also not very big height-wise (7″ between centers of top and bottom screw rails), so vertically it’s a relatively small footprint on the wall.
Overall, GREAT option if you’ve got a tricky spot you’re trying to install to or just want some extra flexibility with mounting options.

I wish I had known more about the actual placement of the bracket before it got delivered since the construction of the added support beam in the wall to hold the 85″ TV was not in the correct location. The bracket itself is great just wished I had better intel before construction.

Not very user friendly. Really need two people to tilt it or to angle it. If you pull the left side out the right side comes out so you have to have somebody else hold it. Kind of a nuisance

The best thing about this tv mount is that it will allow you to adjust to fit your studs for the best mounting safety. We had another mount we thought about using but it just was not as versatile.

If you handle a $4k TV on the wall, you need to buy a quality mount. Even though this is a little expensive for what it is, you should use it to make sure your TV stays secured to the wall.

Excellent wall mount. Ours is mounted on stone veneer and it holds the 75″ 82lb TV well. It pulls far enough away from the wall to mess with cables behind and has a great tilt functionality which is great for us since we have it mounted above the fireplace. It feels very sturdy, not worried about it falling off the mount.

Bought this mount to support 85” Samsung TV. I wanted a well-built tilt mount that allowed the use of six lag bolts and had the flexibility to guarantee an on-center placement. This unit did both! My techs raved about the unit, citing its build quality and its ability to extend as needed for perfect placement. If you’re installing a large-screen TV, this mount is well-worth considering!

This is a good solid mount. The problems are two fold how ever. The mounting armes which it shows pulling out have not hold at all. As soon as you let go they drop back in. The biggest problem was the mounting hole were to small for the lag bolts. I can only imagine someone with out real tools trying to mount this. I had to drill the holes up a size then use an impact wrench to start the bolts. I will say this was only on the outer 4 holes the two center bolts were fine. If you need this i would recommend having it installed is you a very DIY kind of person with the right tools.

Works well, other that the fact its design is backwards. The spreader should have been the wall mount portion not TV mount side. Will have to triple check your measurements to not make any mistakes. The TV hangers only spread so far apart before it will not mount to wall portion of this bracket. Most TV’s screw holes are around 12″ apart so if you spread the bracket more than that from the center trying to hit wall studs 16″ or so apart than it won’t mount to center. You will need to offset this bracket to hit studs and hang TV offset from center of this bracket but be sure you have the correct measurements.

Quality of the mount is nice. However, best buy staff sold this to me and it did not fit my 98″ TCL S5, so I had to return it. However, when I opened the box the instructions and frame were solid. Taking a star off because it should not have been bundled with the TV that I got.

Had a unique mounting challenge and most mounts only span 2 studs. This mount is wide enough to accommodate 3 studs for the perfect placement on the wall. It doesn’t stick out as far feom the wal as I was expecting.
