    Though it was a different box, a plain cardboard box, but inside it looks brand new and works instantly, so could be worth a savings if your using it on a computer that’s a backup rather than main one or for a cheap laptop just to get by.

    My Mid-2012 MacBook Pro needed an upgrade in both ram and hard drive. This ssd was a great value as I didn’t want to spend too much on an aging computer but I also wanted something from a reputable brand. In the SSD space, Samsung it arguably the leader in the segment and the price of this SSD was on par, if not lower, at the time then less reputable brands. Overall, the ssd is working great and my MacBook Pro has a new lease on life.

    Received the bare drive, well packaged, shipped fast. It’s basically a drive someone purchased and returned. The only issue I have with it is that the price went up by $10 and I’m not sure if I will be buying more or looking at other options…

    Download software from samsung website to make identical copy of your hard drive than unplug original plug in this guy done. Fast boot up time etc.

    Used this SSD to refresh a seven year old laptop. What a difference. Just using this SSD with a refresh of windows 10 worked great. I also like to use Samsung SSD’s because they offer free simple cloning software for their devices on their website.

    This drive was essentially brand new in that only a few dozen gigabytes had been previously written to it. Both my hard drive inspection software (HD Sentinel) and Samsung Magician reported that the drive is in perfect condition. I used it as a boot drive in an old Dell E6430 laptop, and the boot time decreased from about 90 seconds to under 30 seconds. Programs and browsers of course open much faster as well, so I’m very pleased.

    Cloning the old hard drive with Windows OS to the SSD was a breeze with Samsung’s data migration software as well.

    Ive had my drive for about 6 months and have it setup as storage for my security cameras. The drive is constantly being written to and I haven’t had any issues out of it. The drive is performing really well considering I bought it as refurbished. Definitely considering buying an other one.

    Its a Samsung Evo SSD. The Clydesdale of SSD’s. The industry standard in SSD’s. You will NOT be disappointed. Seriously. Don’t waste your money on anything less. These are WORTH the extra $5.00 or $15.00. I build, repair and upgrade computers for a living. I have purchased many many many of these SSD’s because they are the fastest and most assuredly the most reliable. Crème de la Crème. Always go Samsung or go home.

    I was running long running jobs on my laptop that were taking 8 hours on a hard drive. I swapped the hard drive with this SSD and it ran in two hours! Fantastic!

    If you’re able to get it in stock, a refurbished ssd is an excellent upgrade from an old hdd. I used this just to upgrade my parents’ desktop computer. There wasn’t much data on their original drive so this capacity was good enough for them and the speeds are excellent as expected.
