The online manual leaves out a lot so I had to spend a lot of time figuring out how to do things. Too many icons which is confusing if there is nothing to tell you what they are for.
Once you figure things out, it’s a pretty good phone. Still a lot for me to learn to use.

The phone is great for my 10 year old daughter. The only feature that I wish it had it wireless charging. This is also the first phone I’ve bought that came with a charging cord but not the wall plug piece.
HonestJohn –
Excellent screen, fast response, and great sound. I didn’t realize how bad the sound was on my recently-departed phone of another brand until I talked on this one. Overall, an excellent phone

I had an old Samsung S7 and this Galaxy A53 doesn’t even come close. The areas that need serious working on is the camera and video department. The speed is seriously lacking and the quality of videos are not the best. The battery life is very good though, but it is a very basic phone and not much of anything else.
Stan –
very dependable, easy to use and has good quality pictures. It is a good size for storing
Drich22 –
Great mid range phone. This is the top of the mid tier samsung phones. I got it for my son and I checked it out and it has a decent camera and a huge battery. I got a s22 and now I wish I just got this because it’s pretty good. It gets the 4 years of software updates and 5 years security updates.

Poor knowledge of service specialist which costs me new service of AT&T
Nothappy –
Call notifications are spuratic, missed calls do not show in call list, sound quality fair, not enough volume.

This phone is almost too smart for this old lady but I like the features once my little granddaughter taught me how to use ut.

I got the Samsung A53 to replace my 10 plus old Galaxy 8. It is an excellent value for the money. Ithas the features I want without the 4K video features that I will never use.
BobsComputer –
Nice phone for the money! 5G is responsive, phone with case durable.

Did not like phone. Returned it and purchased an iPhone SE which is much easier to use for a few dollars more.
JodieA –
Phone is comparable to its more expensive counterparts. Camera is great quality and the gaming feature is a plus for those who like to play video games
Happycamper –
I like the phone. It is very similar to my old cracked S8+ and much cheaper. I would buy again!

Just ordered this phone. It came with a sim card card inside the box but Best Buy attached a second sim card. There were no instructions about which to install in the phone. Would be 5 stars if instructions were included. Thanks Best Buy.

Great Product and great price. Many great features that phones 4 times more expensive have. I am really pleased with battery life and performance.

What a crappy phone, and I use the middle school terminology instead of the adult word that starts with an sh!++¥. Why you ask, okay let me paint you a scenario. You’re at the gym on Spotify playing your favorite tunes, you just got off the treadmill and you head to the sauna room. Now mind you. You have an otterbox on the phone. Well as you go in for a 20 minute meditation routine, that includes a quick picture of your meditation, you also want to post it on social media. Now I’m assuming we’re all here because we love androids and it’s tech capabilities and we know how to multitask all these functions that I’ve mentioned above in less then a minute. Are you still with me? Great so as I’m performing set task, your music starts lagging, your social media isn’t uploading, and certainly the picture you are trying to take isn’t responding. So if it’s the ram or the processor, it’s all garbage. I’m trying to multitask. All I can say is, from the Solution engineer, to the technical architect, all the way down to the developer and QA. PLEASE DO BETTER!! Sincerely an avid fan of tech and androids.

The Galaxy A53 5G is a remarkably well-rounded rival to this year’s high-priced flagships. All things considered, though, 36.5 hours of power is enough to last most people more than a day, depending on the demands you place on the phone

I love this phone! It’s a replacement for an identical one I purchased a week or two after this model first came out but which has seen better days. It’s a real workhorse because I use it aggressively; sometimes up to 11 hours a day. I had purchased a Samsung galaxy s22, but I prefer this A53. It has a larger screen, takes great pictures, and I’ve never had a bit of trouble with it, even though I’ve dropphed it numerous times (I’m sure my Otterbox Defender case helped with that). What’s not to like? And for $49.99 (a discount of $450.00), I was not about to pass up the perfect opportunity to replace my all-time favorite cell phone.
