SAMSUNG has lawsuits against it about these dryers and washers. Buyer beware.
Bought in Dec. 2016. About 6 months ago Heating element had to be replaced after 5 years. I use the dryer about 2 x a week. Cost was $$330.29 to fix.
Now fan belt and rollers need to be repaired at cost of $375.
Can’t wait to get rid of it.

I didn’t have great experiences trying to actuality get my dryer after i purchased it and now after after the problems ive had with it i think it might have been a sign! It wasn’t entirely Best Buys fault my order was delayed, as i purchased my dryer 2 weeks before Hurricane Florence decided to come to town,southeastern NC and run amock! But had they not canceled their original scheduled delivery and install date, the following problems with me getting my dryer could have been avoided. I ended up not getting my dryer until November when i finally got fed up with appointments being rescheduled and asked them to find me a store that was open with my dryer in stock that i could just go pick it up myself and i went to Myrtle Beach and got it! Id had enough hauling my laundry back and forth to work to dry all my clothes in a dryer used for dog towels! So moving forward, a year later in 2019 my dryer stopped drying and we had to wait several weeks for a Geek Squad appointment to have the heater replaced. Again this should have been a clue that my less than a year old dryer wasn’t as amazing as my previous Samsung front load that had lasted forever without one problem! And.we bought that set open box! Anyhow now, 2021, its starting to not dry loads fully and sometimes taking 2 or 3 cycles to fully dry jeans and towels and most definitely our blankets for our beds takes multiple times! Im fed up and ready to replace this headache!

I bought this unit for my secondary laundry but it does an excellent job same as my main unit which is a larger capacity dryer. Bought the same series and using as a stackable unit for washer and dryer. Best Buy folks did a great job installing. Which is basically included along with delivery if you buy the needed parts from BB it self, what a value it is. Bought both on sale!

Bought this dryer in May. After professional installation, it was taking literally 3 hours to dry a medium load of linens. Samsung has sent 2 techs to repair, the second who was not only incompetent but so belligerent and aggressive that I feared for my family’s safety. I submitted a complaint to Samsung to which NO ONE responded! Instead Samsung advised that I had to call the same service company and ask for a 3RD SERVICE CALL. Meanwhile, I have had to resort to using the dryer disconnected from the vent to get items to dry in about an hour. This heats my laundry room unbearably so I have to turn on the air conditioning while running the dryer! Samsung has offered NO SUPPORT and will not allow me to return this dryer. I have spent OVER 5 HOURS and 3 months trying to get help to no avail!

We bought this dryer new from BB Sep. 17, 2018. It has worked as it should until three weeks ago, when it would run without heating, and required us to turn the breaker off to keep it from running when the door was closed. Unable to find any local repair source for Samsung machines, we went to a large repair company based in Portland.
The tech arrived three days ago, and after some disassembly and checking, determined the machine needed a new control board. He returned today to replace the board, total cost to us was $487.64. Had I known the total cost on the first day, I would have passed and elected to buy a replacement dryer. I can only hope that this repair gives us another three years of use before failing. Even if it doesn’t though, my next major appliance purchase will not have the name “Samsung” on it.

Never buy this product. Extremely flimsy design of plastic parts which will fail in 2- 3 years. 3 years after I bought it needed a Part/Belt tensioner assembly – $95.00 + labor $375.00 = $445.00.
Now, six months later needs the same part replaced – Belt Tensioner assembly

This dryer has done nothing but give me problems after the first 2 years. I have replaced the heating element 5 times in the last 18 months and it keeps shorting out. This past time it melted wires. I repaired it and 5 days later it went out again. I am a Samsung buyer. I have a washer, refrigerator, and 3 TV’s made by Samsung but this dryer has been a complete nightmare and disappointment.

I bought this dryer 2.5 years ago and it worked fine until recently. Now it has a cracked drum. We only washed clothes so I know we didn’t damage it. The warranty has run out and repairs would cost $500 on a $800 dryer and will probably crack again. Don’t buy this item. It’s poorly made and a waste of money.

Love Samsung Products, so I bought a the matching Samsung washer from a friend and fell in love. It was my first HE washer so i wanted the matching Dryer, luckily my best buy had one on clearance( someone ordered, then changed their mind before it was installed, so it was sent back to our local best buy instead of the warehouse it came from) I’ve owned this dryer for almost two years and haven’t had any issues with it yet. First had in on a pedistal and they looked amazing. Then to save space, bought the stacking kit. It doesnt look as good stacked but it is very space saving. The dryer has to go on top due to weight reasons. There was one instance where there was a slight squeeking noise but I believe it was from my girlfriend overloading the dryer. You dont want to try to fill up the washer and dryer with clothes, that would be a HUGE load! Theres a lot of space and can fit much more than the older style agitator washers but still never fill more than 3/4th full. Only reason im giving 4 out of 5 stars is due to the control panel being slanted slightly, which if you are shorter you can have trouble viewing the display and controls (according to my g/f) when you stack the dryer on top. I’m 6’4″ so I don’t have this problem, but we do keep a small step stool close for her to use. Overall this is an amazing Dryer, and the Washer is even better with steam options. Loaded with options and so far very durable. Would recommend to friends and family if they are still available for purchase.

Bought this dryer in 2020. Has worked decent. Just went to dry clothes and it made a few loud thuds and now it turns on but nothing moves. It’s just out of warranty so, ya know, of course it has to break. Hubby is down there now trying to play fix it. Hopefully he can. Overall its an ok dryer. In the few years we’ve had it, tech had to come out twice. It wasn’t drying. I dont recall what needed fixed. We got the matching washer as well and we got one more year of warranty left on it so wish us luck ha. We thought this brand would do us good but we’re not to impressed.
