I really like the oven but I feel like when I cook on the stove top, it’s too long for pans/cookwear to warm up/get hot. The oven works great though and bakes perfectly. Also the knobs turn too easily, seems like a child safety issue

I picked up a showroom model from Best Buy about a month ago. I got a great deal on it. It was in an excellent condition and it needed cleaning after installation but I would have done this even with an out of the box product. The past month, I have been using the stove on a daily basis and I’m very satisfied with the product. I cannot speak about the longevity of the stove at this point.
I am a passionate hobby cook and I used the range to cook rice, sear steak, make sauces and soups, breakfast, boil pasta, and for baking bread. All dishes came out very nice.
Here are some positive aspects of the range: The front burners are very powerful and allow for good searing or bringing water to a boil fast. Each front burner has two different sizes fitting standard pots and pans. This feature sets it apart from competitor models such as the more expensive Bosch range. The back burners are decent as well. The range also comes with a warming zone which is a nice feature. The oven comes with two convection fans. I got even browning with the oven on backed goods. Preheating is very fast. It reaches 460F in about 15min. The control panel and knobs are in front. Goodbye to reaching over hot pots or pans to adjust temperatures. The knobs can be easily removed and cleaned. This makes cleaning under them easy too. The controls are intuitive and responsive (see cons). Some features can be programmed such as favorite oven settings or a sabbath settings. Besides excellent performance, the range looks great.
However, there are some minor negative things. The control panel is very sensitive which makes it very responsive but a slight tough selects features. I never turned the oven on accidentally but I turned on the oven light, timer and warming zone multiple times during cleaning. I always check after cleaning that everything is off. The second thing that I don’t like is the door handle of the oven. It’s a round and mounted to a flat surface. This creates two small grooves in which grime and dirt collects. I guess that I have to dedicate a small brush for cleaning this spot. The burners are very powerful and simmering requires the lowest setting. That’s nothing major but something to get used to. Finally, the stainless steel is not fingerprint resistant as stated in the product description. It doesn’t bother me but it’s something to keep in mind in case you can’t stand seeing fingerprints on your appliances.
Overall, I highly enjoy cooking and baking with the range and I would recommend to everyone.

This is the most I’ve spent on a stove and the worst experience I’ve every had with a stove. I was a gung ho Samsung appliance person, but within the past year we have lost a 7 year old Samsung refrigerator (a glitch – it get going on and off, so it wasn’t a compressor issue, which made the loss even worse); a 7 year old Samsung electric range (again, glitches, this time with the touch pad), and now this. While it is definitely a gorgeous stove, it has been an absolute nightmare to own. Problems: 1) the fan comes on the minute you turn on a burner or the oven and will not turn off until at least 10 minutes after the stove/oven has been turned off 2) the oven touchscreen cannot be cleaned without turning on and off most of the functions, especially the lights, the timer, the oven and the warming center ( wipe – something comes on, you have to turn it off; wipe again, something else comes on, you have to turn IT off….you get the point) 3) the knobs DO turn way too easily, so the top burners WILL turn on when you don’t mean for them to – way too dangerous if you have children running around the house(which we don’t) which makes our next problem not a knob issue but an actual stove defect as 4) we CANNOT regulate the stove top burners – no matter how much we work with the knobs, the burners sometimes will not come on at all (for example, you turn a burner on to high, check on it a a couple of minutes later only to find out it didn’t come on at all, yet the knob is on High) or if the burner does come on, the temperature will not be accurate (the other day the temperature actually changed on its own and went from low to high, almost burning the pot and filling the entire house with thick smoke.) That was the last straw. We called Best Buy to take back this crappy stove as it is a true fire hazard and they flat out refused unless Samsung authorized it. We called Samsung and they want to send a service contractor to look at it (despite the fact that this is a known issue with this stove). We are ditching this stove ( and Samsung) and buying American (went with Kitchen-aid and bought it from Lowes since Best Buy doesn’t value a good customer). So all in all I guess we ought to: 1) be thankful our house didn’t burn down and 2) thank Best Buy and Samsung for the poor products and service because they forced us to re-evaluate our choices and make the smart move to better appliances and retailers. Now how to dispose of a practically new $1000 stove that is a fire hazard?? Haven’t figured that out yet, so once again, thanks Best Buy and Samsung.

Oven and stove work great but this range has some design flaws. First, the electric touch pad is very sensitive. Even if you wipe it with a rag, you will turn on the oven accidently. Very dangerous for children. The only way I can clean that pad is to wipe it off and then go back and try to figure out what all turned off, oven, timer, light, etc. are often all switched just by wiping the panel. Second big issue is the top. It is slick glass. There is no protective grid on it or anything like some have. It will scratch VERY easily. Mine is all scratched after just one month of use and I was very careful with only smooth bottom pans. It is also hard to wipe off and keep clean. It always has water spots. You have to finish up with a window cleaner to get it spotless. I had an old GE for 20 years, never had a scratch and it was easy to wipe off and didn’t show any residue like this one does.

Do not buy this appliance. This range should not have been released to the market. The stovetop knobs do not lock and it is too easy to accidentally bump them, which will set fire to anything on top, including instant pot kids and kids lunches. In addition, the touch pad constantly turns on and off if anything drips it. Let’s say you have a roast in the oven on a timer and are boiling water. If water drips off the spoon on the the touch screen it will turn off the timer, maybe turn off the oven and usually turns on the light. When you wipe off the touch screen after cleaning you are guaranteed to turn the oven on. Finally, what led me to write this review is that the upper fan motor failed in October. Samsung works with Service Quick to dispatch a Samsung technician. The 1st guy came out and ordered parts. He came back 2 weeks later and replaced the faulty part but the upper fan still did not work correctly and continued to make horrible noise. I called and was advised that this person’s supervisor would come out to resolve it I waited another 2 weeks and on the day of the appointment no one showed up and I found out that the ticket had been closed. I opened a new ticket and I had to wait a month for a technician to come out, and once again on the day of the appointment I was told that the technician couldn’t come out and they rescheduled me then on the rescheduled date I was told that the ticket was closed by me the customer. I am extremely dissatisfied with Samsung and while I have purchased many of their products over the years I now have a drawer full of broken cell phones and an oven that functioned poorly to begin with and now has only lasted 14 months. It’s my opinion that Samsung rushed this product to market and refuses to stand behind their product they have lost a customer and I’m trying to save you from going down the same road that I did.

We have had this stove for about a year now and it is great. It looks aesthetically pleasing and family cook nights are easier. It has ample of space. It does require constant cleaning but it gets alot of usage

Nice stove, works well but needs a safety switch to cut off power to burners. Several times top burners have been turned on accidentally not including times small kids having easy access to controls. Built a wooden cover for stove top and was burnt first day by someone accidentally touching knob. Would have given 5 stars if was safety engineered. Surprised there is not a safety recall.

I have a problem with the vent on the front door. Not the vent inside for the convection. My vent runs during preheating, BAKING two and a half hours, and cooling down. This fan blows so hard it will make a paper towel wave. This HEATS up my house. I live SW Florida. I’ve had the Samsung technician out he says this is normal. I know it isn’t supposed to blow that hard. I called and talked to Samsung again and they said they would charge me.
I have a Samsung convection oven at work and it does not blow out hardly at all. You really don’t even notice the blowing.
Also you barely touch knob and burner turns on!! VERY HAZARDOUS

Love this stove. It has not disappointed me….not once. It took me some time to understand the settings, but after that it was full speed ahead. One point though is it panel is extremely sensitive and comes on if it get close to it when cleaning the top, I am careful with that now.

It can’t fit two half sheets side by side. Although it does have convection, setting it at 3 and 5 as the instruction manual suggests for baking two at a time, the air flow is not good. Even with rotating and changing the sheet pan from top to bottom, every time you have to open the oven, is cook time you have to adjust from the original recipe. The top scratches easily, so be prepared to baby it. With one item in the oven, you can really feel the convection fans blowing when you open the door, but it just doesn’t seem to brown well. My old Maytag did a better job and it had ancient convection technology.

I have had this for 5yrs. — I use it 3 hrs. a week —The glass top is defective …I am on my 2nd glass top and this replacement is already scratched and stained and I take care of it with special cleaner etc. Another issue is when you use the oven the smoke get between the glass and then looks terrible ..You cannot clean it without disassembling it …45 min. job and not easy to do …. Also one burner does not get hot as the other 3 …I also got replacement knobs from samsung because of them getting stains on the stainless steel surface which is pretty strange ….For a $1200 range ..this samsung model is as good as junk …DO NOT BUY !!!

Owned for almost 2 years. Look fantastic. My dogs tail can hit the knobs and turn them on. I just put a fire out 30min ago in my kitchen because of it. There needs to be more safety features.
