anytime you try to wipe the top off or clean it or when you cook (boil water even!) if ANY thing gets on the cooktop it shuts off!

Easy to clean, user manual is accurate and easy to understand. Sometimes the digital knobs can be a bit sensitive, so you may have to try a few times to to get it to your desired temperature ie I want to set the temp to 13 but when using my finger I’m getting 11 or 14/then eventually get it to 13. Also tonight I set 2 pizza boxes on the cooktop, a few hours later when my son came into the kitchen, he said the stove was on and Burt 3 of his finger tips. So, now knowing you must always lock the stove top even if you aren’t cooking on it and just using as counter space.

I am in rental house for a month with one of these…it is the worst product I have ever used… I cook a lot…always shutting off…impossible to set controls…as my headline says…designed by a kid with touch screens that doesn’t cook…stay away….

I had a new one installed in August 2018. It has not been working well as the machine turns itself off randomly during normal cooking. Two days ago it stopped working entirely. I called Samsung Tech support, followed all instructions over the phone and still could not turned it on. Today, I had a Samsung authorized service shop to diagnose the problem. The technician told me it will cost me $650 to get the board changed and he cannot guarantee it will work as one of the burners might have been burnt out. So, I will be better off getting a new NON-Samsung cooktop to replace it — a $100 advice from the technician. This is the quality of Samsung, surprised?

I love the look of this cooktop. The magnetic, movable dial makes it easy to clean and gives the unit a slick, clean look. Although you can turn heat up or down without the dial, it isn’t perfect. I sometimes have to swipe a few times to get my selection to take.

Unfortunately, this was not the product we were looking for. We wanted a cooktop that had touch controls, not knobs. Other than that the cooktop works great. It heats pretty quickly. Cleaning is a bit difficult as the knobs get in the way and it’s hard to clean between the knobs. Be careful not to touch a hot pot to the knobs as they are made of plastic and will melt. I do not like the fact that the knobs are so close to the burners.

Love the design! I moved from a 4 burner, 21-year old cooktop and the control knobs were all on the right side. This design has digital controls at the front where I can easily access them. In addition, the burners have different maximum heating elements and two burners tha can be synchronized for larger griddles.

Nice cooktop with accurate temp adjustments. Easy to keep things at a simmer. However, it is easy to accidentally turn off burns with a splash of liquid or by brushing over the buttons.

Really good looking and functioning cooktop. Installation was easy and setup was simple. Controls are smooth working and I love the removable/mobile knob.
One burner wouldn’t function after installing (1st day) and after BB punted me to Samsung who insisted BB should have handled it took my call. On the call I took my hand and just gently tapped the inop burner and all of a sudden it started working.
I’m relieved its working, but I wonder if it’s going to fail. Purchasing the extended warranty through Samsung Care + as BB seemed like they didn’t want to “deal with me”.

Love this stovetop. We have had it for about a 2 weeks now. The only down side right now if getting used to no knobs. The Magnetic knob is nice but functions a little different. So easy to clean. Love the option of knob or finger control.

Digital format of operation is not intuitive. Takes three steps just ti turn it on. Temperature selection doesn’t work well. Gotta keep user manual handy. If u get a d0 error message, the correction listed in owners manual didn’t work. Had to turn breaker off and on to release lockout

I initially enjoyed it but now after 2 years a burner busted and it is costing $500 to fix it. Also, it turns off too much in the middle off cooking even if 1 drop of water hits the knob section. It shoyldnt be rhat sensitive plus sometimes i have to reset my breaker box cuz the darn thing won’t turn on

It’s sleek and gets the job done very efficiently. Works perfectly fine with touch controls even though it has a control knob. The right glass cleaner brings it back to brand new appearance.
If the timer / alarm was louder and would repeat beep, it would be a 5 star.

Magnetic knob sometimes tricky to control. Need tool from Samsung to clean grease that dries during cooking otherwise product has been amazing. I most appreciate the alerts and the ability to remotely control. As a multitasking professional and mother, the alerts help a lot.

Easy install. Difficult to maximize the number of burners due to pan size. right front burner does not get as warm as the other burners. Still getting used to the method of adjusting temp. The moveable knob is not that sensitive

It’s pretty, to for a few weeks and then it’s scratched to bits. We have been super careful but expected the wear on this to be tougher! We’ve never seen anything like this in the way of wear and tear on a cooktop. Now we have a large deep crack on it and no clue how it got there, we did NOT purchase the extended warranty and did not use a credit card that provides it. Shame on me. I will add that we are not daily cookers, most of the time we work away from home for months at a time so it’s been installed for a year and used for a year but had purchased it a few months prior to that during a new build.
Not happy, it’s a lot of money.
This also turns itself of randomly while cooking!!
BEAWARE and GET the extended warrenty.
