    After about a month usage, we are happy with the purchase. The Family Hub is really cool and easy to set up, especially if you already have other Samsung devices. We had a Kitchen Aid prior and wanted to try something different. The Family Hub is why choose this model. The couple things I miss is having more flexibility in adjusting shelves and not as well lit as the Kitchen Aid was. However, there still plenty of space and room in the refrigerator and freezer, just taking longer to figure out where everything goes best.

    This is the coolest fridge ever (pun intended). I thought that screens on fridges were a fad and just for show, but it comes in very useful! I like the shopping list and calendar features. It’s also extremely convenient to be able to pull up a recipe directly. Also, the speakers are very strong and clear, perfect for dancing ’round the kitchen in the refrigerator light (if you get that reference, you are also very cool). Highly reccommend buying, perfect for all your cooking needs and desires!

    We’ve had this refrigerator (Samsung – Family Hub 27.7 Cu. Ft. 4-Door French Door Fingerprint Resistant Refrigerator – Stainless steel) for a few weeks now and have no complaints.

    The icemaker works and dispenses ice OK. We’ve only used the ‘Cube’ setting (not ‘Crushed’) and have found that the ice can dispense at a slight angle with the broken ice pieces. This is easily overcome by raising your glass closer to the top, simple.

    The best thing about this refrigerator for us is the 4th door/drawer. We can fit a ton of water bottles and other frequently accessed items here which is conveniently
    retrieved by the drawer.

    The worst thing about this refrigerator to me is the lack of space for tall items. The only way to make more room for taller items would be to remove the top shelf, which isn’t ideal. The ‘flip-up’ top shelf allows you to store taller items but it’s narrow so you have to put things like milk jugs in single-file so it’s difficult to get at items in the back. In my opinion this is annoying but it’s not a dealbreaker.

    The Hub screen is great for family calendars and keeping grocery lists. The kids like to play YouTube but we haven’t done much beyond that with it yet. I’ve turned off the microphone as I don’t want to talk to it or have it listening to us.

    The cameras inside the frige are neat but not really useful to us so far.

    Best Buy delivery was excellent, I can’t express that enough. The delivery guys were helpful, efficient and courteous. We discovered a couple scratches on the side, under the cardboard, that occurred in shipping. They took pictures and offered me a discount via gift card or a replacement. Best Buy followed through and it was a great experience.

    Overall we are happy with this purchase and would recommend it when it’s on sale.

    So far, we are delighted with this fridge. It’s spacious, practical (4 doors & specialized drawers) and totally connected. It does help that most of our other appliances are also Samsung and connected on the My Smart Things app.
    The option to use the screen as a true “family hub” to check on our calendars, post family pictures, etc. and, the ability to check inside the fridge while doing grocery shopping, are our favorite ones.

    First few days, the water dispenser does not stop dripping water making a real mess in the kitchen and kind of annoying but after we stopped using it for a few days and then tried it again, the dripping stopped! I like the smart hub that comes with it. If not for the dripping water dispenser, might have given this 5 stars

    The fridge is a show stopper. The screen is very useful, similar to a smart phone. The inside of the fridge, middle drawer and freezer is spacious. The only negative is the freezer does not have a shelf against the back of the front door even though there’s a slot for it. Not sure why Samsung stop supplying that item…most likely to save money.
    Overall, the fridge looks great and works great.

    So far so good… I love the way this thing looks and the technology that’s built inside of it. It’s definitely a conversation piece and people walk in. Some of the features can be overwhelming but if you know what you’re doing they can be super helpful. Only concern I have is longevity because I know smart products tend to have software issues. And our previous Samsung fridge appointment us in less than 10 years. So fingers crossed this is a great buy.

    I have had this refrigerator (Samsung model# RF23M8570SG/AA) since 2019 after 7 months Samsung had to replace the touch screen because it froze up. Now the touch screen seems to work when it feels good, it only feels good half the time. By the way after your warranty runs out it will cost you $847 to have it replaced $200 just to have them walk in the door. PLEASE make sure while your screen is working get all your settings the way you want them because WHEN your touch screen goes out then the settings are the way you want them, again because WHEN your touch screen freezes up you will have no control of any settings on your refrigerator. Now let’s talk about the ice maker. When the ice maker is not frozen it works fine. The problem is that is freezes up every two weeks, in order to get it to work you have to defrost it which takes about a day and a half, unless you use steam, then it goes fastet. PLEASE DON’T use a heat gun or hair dryer they will worp some of the parts in there. Get yourself a good ice pick. I tell you this to make sure you have some of the facts about this refrigerator. So now which refrigerator are you going to buy. Have a good day.

    For the most part, i like this refrigerator, but i just recently came across some major design flaws.
    The bottom glass shelf, that both fruit/vegetable drawers are attached to, can not be removed for cleaning. Not only can this shelf not be removed for cleaning, but the glass does not come out either. This wouldn’t be so bad, but the shelf actually has a space between the glass and the shelf, as though the glass can be removed, but there are tabs in place to prevent this. Therefore, if any liquid spills on this shelf, the liquid gets trapped underneath the glass… there is no way to lift the glass to clean out the liquid. Why this refrigerator was made like this is beyond me. I have never seen anything like this before…
    My second issue with the design, are the storage shelves in the doors. The ones on the left door, with the ice maker, are too narrow to hold wide jars, like mayonnaise, yet the spacing isn’t high enough for thin taller bottles like salad dressing. On the right door, the spacing is also weird, so it’s hard to place large jugs like gallon milk cartons, on the bottom shelf… the middle and top shelves have to be raised so high, to accommodate larger cartons, that it only allows smaller jars, like relish, to fit into the upper 2 shelves.
    There’s nowhere to actually store eggs, unless you purchase a holder for it… and nowhere to store butter, unless again, you buy a special butter storage container.
    The design of this refrigerator isn’t the most practical.

    By far one of the best Samsung products. Works like new after a year in use. Just got to change the filter every 6 month or so, other than that no issues. Samsung can work in trying to integrate more apps to use on the screen and make it easier for repair man have easy access to the diagram online, it would be great. Other than that, one satisfied customer. But do not buy Samsung microwave, its a terrible product

    Worst fridge we have ever bought. The ice maker is CONSTANTLY freezing up inside and quits making ice. We’ve already had to replace it more then once, and here we are again, frozen and won’t make ice until I put my hair dryer inside to melt off all the Ice covering the unit. Don’t waist your money.

    This is a piece of JUNK!!! You will have issues with the ice maker. This is the 4th repair on my fridge for this icemaker within a two year period. . Each time it was replaced with a new ice maker. Best buy extended warranty states the ice maker is an add on. Meaning they will continue to repair until the warranty expires. They will not replace after the 3rd repair. Samsung will not take accountability for their product. Best buy and Samsung continues to point the finger at each other while the consumer is stuck in the middle.

    Was very excited about this fridge! Loved all the aspects of it and 2 years ago I would have reviewed it with 4 stars… had some random issues with my ice maker but it I turned it off and reset it it would work…

    However 3.25 years after I purchased it the icemaker progressively got worse and now my upper portion of the fridge will not cool. Icemaker is on recall list and Samsung won’t send anyone to fix the recall because I don’t live in an areas they have service centers. Basically they are refusing to do anything for me because we are out of warranty. I wouldn’t care if it was an issue not on recall. I would understand having to fix it at my cost finding my own repair person.

    However this is a RECALL! And they are liable for repairing it or offering me compensation to have it repaired my self.

    I’m beyond frustrated. We paid a lot of money for this fridge. I will never buy a Samsung Product again.

    Buyer beware.
