This side by side refrigerator and freezer lower door was an excellent choice. It was reasonably priced as well. The refrigerator area is very spacious. The shelves are adjustable and easy to clean. It also has interior water dispenser which I love because it’s hidden so the exterior part of fridge looks sleek and stylish. The freezer door opens to two levels. The upper level has the ice dispenser tray and an additional storage area for items that are frequently used, it’s more accessible than lower freezer area. The lower freezer area is divided into two compartments. This area is ideal for frozen foods, boxes, packaged meats, etc. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it.

What makes this a one star is Geek squad horrible handling of service appointments. I scheduled two appointments for the same issue, on both i was given a window from 8 in morning to 5 in the afternoon. I’ve been stood up twice, the independent Service technician assigned has been given the wrong telephone number. So far no response from Geek squad to see how was service or how can they improve.
As far as this fridge goes, the handle for the freezer broke right off bat after delivery, then COVID happened so i didn’t scheduled anything, makes loud noises, and the freezer started acting weird.

BUYER BEWARE! Plastic parts in high use areas that are not able to be replaced. The freezer door handle ripped off after 18 months. Had to buy a whole new door.

I am appalled at the poor customer support and minimal warranty on parts for my refrigerator. We purchased in 2019, and experienced significant condensation with water pooling in various drawers. After we discovered how pervasive the issue was, we had it fixed (already out of warranty). We then got a 90 day warranty on the new part which was very suspicious (only 90 days on a brand new part?). And go figure! About 150 days later, condensation! Ka Ching! Now they want to come back and replace the part for a THIRD time in roughly 2 years. A total rip off. I had heard mixed things about Samsung refrigerators but I guess I’d have never thought that in such a scenario (same new part failing twice within two years) they would not acknowledge this to be a Samsung and not an “us” problem.

Very happy with new refrigerator! Lots of room with adjustable shelves- easy to clean. Keeps food at a constant temperature and is very quiet. Definitely recommend this Samsung product!

Love my fridge. I’ve had it for 1.5 year and it works great. I haven’t used the water and ice maker yet. The only thing I don’t like is the cleaning, you have to take apart where you set your milk, juice etc. (Not the doors) overall I’m still happy with my purchase.

No cooling issues with this fridge. It is noisy though. I had a technician come before the one year warranty was up and he said that the way the compressor works makes it more Efficient but unfortunately noisier. Not sure if that was a line or true but it works. We ended up putting sound absorbing panels on the wall in back of it. Maybe helped a little. But it’s still noisy for a new fridge.

Only negative is that the water dispenser is flimsy and it broke. From online searches, it is apparent that it breaks easily. However, the part is readily available online and is a 2 minute swap.

Bought this two years ago and hated it from day one. The bottom freezer drawer never opened smoothly. The top drawers were so cheap and flimsy feeling when opening. The ice maker made the worst ice ever. It was as if it only made crushed ice and no cubes. Geek Squad made a call to look. They said it was the way the ice is frozen. It makes it crack into pieces. Ridiculous. we had a big area to put it into and it still stuck out so far it blocked our spice cabinet next to it. Stainless was okay but seemed to pick up some kind of a film all the time. Had to wipe it down continuously
2nd Samsung refrigerator and def our last. I expected better quality.

Good fridge. Seems to always be humid inside. Lots of condensation dripping through the inside making a puddle at the bottom. Try to avoid it by not leaving the fridge open for a long time. Water dispenser is awkwardly placed hard to even fill a cup with water do to the angle it is placed at. Good fridge and big enough lots of compartments.

I like the size and layout of this fridge! My only issue is the flap on the left hand side door (that seals the fridge when closed) dose not automatically come out when you close the door. So you have a gap in between the french doors. Also the ice cube fall behind the fridge alot when opening the freezer. Even with these 2 minor issues i would still buy this fridge again

CONS: At first I would have given 4 stars….less than 1 yr later the door bin broke off and not under warranty. Within the first 2 years all 3 bins are now broke. (Only on th left side….defect maybe?) The freezer door handle comes off periodically but is an easy fix with allen wrench.
Also the glass shelving is very hard to clean. It claims leak proof but its not, so when things get spilled its hard to remove the glass to get in between to clean!
PROS: It does have alot of room and I do like the way the shelfs can be rearranged.

Great product, but water dispenser stopped working 2 years after purchase and literally 0 appliance repair companies in my area will work on a Samsung fridge. According to every appliance repair company I called, Samsung is very adament that soecific processes are followed for warranty and replacement, so most companies refuse to deal with Samsung. I even called Geek Squad (since I bought the fridge through BestBut), but Geek Squad forwarded me to Samsung to have a repair ticket made. 2 days after the ticket was made, Samsung called me and said “sorry, no technicians are in your area that work on Samsung appliances so you will need to find one on your own or you can buy a new fridge”. Really??? This was Samsung’s reply??? What a joke!!! I will never recommend anyone buy a Samsung fridge. Samsung phones may be great, but their appliances are horribly difficult to get any repair help with. Ridiculous

The Compressor on this refrigerator failed after 2.5 years. LG subbed out the repair and after a couple months the new compressor failed. I’m in the middle of the drama of trying to get the new one repaired which LG isn’t able to do since they have no servicemen in the San Francisco Bay Area, really?

Lasted only 2 1/2 years. The refrigerator’s thermostat stopped working. No matter what temperature you set it at, it would only go down to 57 degrees. Because it was partially cooling, it took us a while to realize the thermostat was defective when foods like melons and milk started going bad sooner than normal. We also found its capacity limited by its design – too much compartmentalization.

Love the design of the water dispenser on the inside of the fridge – this allows for full storage along the inside of the entire left door. The produce drawers in the refrigerator section are a bit flimsy and feel fragile, especially the large flat drawer at the bottom part of the refrigerator which often gets off alignment. The freezer is great! Huge storage capacity and the double layer drawers work great to keep things sorted. The water filter quality is phenomenal and the water from it tastes great.

Flimsy parts – in less than three years the ice maker, water dispenser and freezer handle have all broken due to flimsy plastic bits breaking. Not a solidly built product at all. Some innovations are nice – the deli tray for example, but it’s too fragile.

Ice maker will not drop ice. Water tube continued to provide water to ice maker causing water to overflow and spill into ice container below ice maker causing a sheet of frozen ice. Manually defrosted refrigerator, removed ice from ice maker and ice maker still not dropping ice.

If I base this review on the information I read from various resources, it seems the Samsung refrigerators prior to 2019 have a history of the condenser freezing over causing the fan to stop and the temp not maintaining. Samsung would not in any way help with the replacement. Further, the trays are difficult to remove making it difficult for them to be cleaned. The frequently used crisper drawer requires both doors to be opened, which defeats the purpose. Cleaning the crisper top can be very difficult if you do not have strong fingers. Need to go back to fewer gadgets on the frig.

Works great! unfortunately if you have little ones like mine, the freezer handle that opens it up loosened and broke over time. It was difficult to try to fix once it was loose.
