    I purchased the microwave in July 2019. It died in December 2020. I placed a some food to reheat and I began to smell burning. I knew it could not be the food as I just placed it in the microwave. It was a burnt electrical smell. I open the door and smoke comes pouring out of it. After clearing out the smoke, I tried to see if would still heat up things. Nothing. Timer runs but doesn’t heat up anything. A junk product. You should expect something to last longer than 1.5 years.

    Replaced an older microwave that broke. Got this unit to tide us over until we eventually redo our kitchen. Works well, only issue is that you can set a kitchen timer while the microwave is in use. An older Samsung microwave allowed this.

    I use my microwave every day, it sits over the stove so it does not take up any space on counter. works very good very easy to use. Matches everything in the kitchen very easy to clean.

    It stopped working after a year and a half. After I opened it, I noticed that the wire internally had burnt.
    I called Samsung and explained the situation. They visited my house and upon inspection stated that it cannot be fixed because I opened the microwave. The irony is that since the warranty had expired, I had to open the back to see what the problem is.

    Besides product failure, it also had issues heating items kept side-by-side versus stacked one above the other. Thin items like tortilla had to kept on a stand or an inverted box to raise its height.

    I was worried that it would be difficult to install, but with an extra set of hands, this was up in a matter of 45 minutes. Great microwave with internal shelf. Lots of space

    Overall microwave is good but door closing is cheaply made. The clip in the microwave to close the door broke so now I have to hold the door closed for microwave to work. It was 1 1/2 yrs old when it broke

    I don’t recommend this microwave, period!

    Most of the newer appliances can now be operated using soft touch on the buttons/console. With this microwave however, you have to push really hard for the buttons to engage. How in the world can short and elderly people use this esp. when it is mounted above a stove?

    Also, you need to turn on the lights during early morning/dusk since the buttons are not illuminated – or you need to use a flashlight to see what buttons you need to press. Why o why are microwave manufacturers removing the illuminated buttons?

    Lastly, the fan is already malfunctioning after 1.5 years. Heat something up, push the fan button and it will not turn, you just hear a hum. You have to switch to a higher fan speed in order for the fan to start spinning. It seems the fan is getting stuck. I am careful with my appliances and I don’t cook greasy food under this microwave so nothing should be causing the fan to stick. I’m thinking cheaper plastic parts and bearing are used hence this malfunction.

    Our 15 year old GE micro had none of this issues and worked perfectly it was just upgraded to a fancier stainless steel and I miss my GE micro.

    Excellent Over range microwave. very spacious with a double shelf you can multitask. all standard functions are included and you can take some more complex reheating tasks using the sensor cooking, I feel it takes the guesswork out of the equation.

    This microwave was fine until it stopped working. Purchased on 08/31/18. The microwave stopped heating on 04/05/21. The microwave I had before this one lasted 13 years before it stopped heating. The only thing I really used the microwave for is popcorn and maybe sometimes heating up food. What a waste of money. Now I have to spend another $200 plus on a new microwave. Very disappointed.

    Not impressed with this microwave at all. It’s missing convenient features like express minutes. The door closes very loudly. Plus, you cannot run the microwave and user the timer at the same time. Also, the fan just randomly turns on and I have to switch the breaker to turn it off. Glad I purchased the Protection plan for it. I’ll be contacting Geek squad.

    great micro wave. only complaint is the operation buttons are very hard to push. My wife has a hard time pushing the control panel buttons. this is the only problem with this UNIT.

    Bought as an open box, only 1 down side of this unit, wish the key pad lit up. Very hard to see what you’re pushing especially in a dark kitchen.

    Looks good. Cooks good. Came with a rack for the middle that just ended up tucked away on a shelf and never used… maybe someday.

    My biggest annoyance is that you can’t set a timer while the unit is cooking. The dinosaur of a microwave that this replaced was capable of it. I don’t get why newer units don’t.

    Sadly after about 2.5 years it developed a loud buzz that goes away when you open the door and then starts back up soon as you close it (and I don’t mean while cooking.)

    This worked pretty well for 2 years and 1 month. Then a capacitor went out. No big deal, cheap, easy replacement. Then today while using it, it just goes dead with no warning. If you buy one, get the longest protection plan you can!

    I had my kitchen remodeled three years ago and bought all Samsung appliances. Of the four items purchased, microwave, range, dishwasher and refrigerator, all but the dishwasher have needed repair. I love the layout of the refrigerator, but the ice maker should not stop working after only three years of light use. The microwave stopped working almost immediately after being installed and needed multiple parts replaced. The range heating element in the oven and the convection fan stopped working after about two and a half years. Thank goodness I have a home warranty as none of these repairs were covered by Samsung. As I can afford I will start replacing the appliances with a different, more reliable brand.

    First the Samsung letters fell off the front of the door. Ugly but only a superficial problem. Now the latch in the door itself has become loose and won’t lock, which means I can’t re-heat food.

    I am not buying another Samsung microwave.

    The first one died within a year, purchased a replqcement since the rest of my appliances are Samsung, second one died in 16 months. Just as bad as samsung refrigerators!

    Has not been a goo purchase. Hears things fine but had to have the touchpad replaced within a year, at least it was under warranty. Now the doorr latch broke, and you have to replace the whole door, not cost effective. Less then 4 yrs.old.

    This is my second Samsung microwave in less than 5 years. Same model bought it twice. The first one lasted 3 years and this one died 2 years to the date of purchase. Samsung appliances are the worse piece of crap ever! Save your money and buy something else!

    GARBAGE!! I purchased a 3 piece bundle – Microwave, Dishwasher, and Fridge, all failed within two years. The Ice maker failed on the fridge, the microwave continues to run after it is shut off and the dishwasher beeps and shuts off before finishing a cycle. Idiot me did not purchase an extended warranty and they are now out of warranty and I Have to replace them. Do not purchase, find a better product than Samsung. Garbage

    I like the simple yet clean and easy to use microwave. It’s over the range. So far we have not had any issues and since it’s a GE brand I hope that it will continue to work longer then our previous one.

    Not good. 3 years after purchase the door handle broke off and the “Samsung” lettering on has delaminated. Now I’m left with a microwave that’s out of warranty and defective. Cheap cheap cheap.
