    The worst product I’ve ever used. Instructions are severely lacking. Support from manufacturer is poor. I don’t recommend it to anyone.

    Works great however it is not backwards compatible, it will only work on USB 2 not 3, so I’m using an older laptop for my work. Other than that its perfect!

    I attempted to load software on my laptop (from disk and then from website) and wouldn’t work. Operating system, Windows 11 Home, version 22H2. Recieved driver errors. Tried downloading patch from Roxio and it didn’t recognize it. After restart, my laptop crashed and wouldn’t start up properly. Had to perform system restore for proper restart. I wouldn’t recommend for Windows 11 users, it shouldn’t be this complicated.

    This product was simple to install and use. I didnt have to struggle with the connection or anything. Be prepared to watch your whole video, or let it play in the background, during the process of converting it to digital. In my case it was amazing to watch the old family videos. Once they are digital, skipping around for editing becomes much easier.

    Took a little bit of time to figure out how it works, but once you know what you’re doing the process is pretty easy. So far, I’ve had success transferring from VHS to DVD discs. The video quality is only as good as what is on your VHS video and the quality of the VHS VCR Unit you are using….

    first off i got it on windows 11 and works fine the only issue that i had is that the program doesn’t display what is being recorded but it dose what its supposed to do

    The device comes in a small package that directly connects between the computer and vcr/dvd player. No extra cables are needed. The included software makes it easy to get the recording from vcr/dvd player setup and you’re able to edit the recordings afterwards. The recording length is limited in the included software and I have some video tapes that were over 3 hours so I bought a different program to handle the recording, but the device will work with other software. You will get as good a quality recording as the tape and your vcr is capable of.

    Does not work with Windows 11 anymore. Program will not install and wants me to disable windows security settings to install outdated drivers… and it still will not install. I tried the capture device with other programs and could only get sound, no video. I am lucky my vhs/dvd recorder combo had an HDMI out on it, so I got an HDMI to usb C capture device on Amazon.

    It took a little fiddling to figure it out and get it working but now that I’ve figured it out it’s perfect. I use it to digitize VHS tapes and upload the commercials to YouTube.

    Did not work at all. We have an older camcorder and vcr, but that’s no excuse. I was able to make a digital recording with another software package (UCEC Video Converter), but thought Roxio would be better. Wasted $40 on Roxio – look elsewhere.

    Got some video transfer from an old tube tv vcr combo into digital. Unfortunately the sound is hit and miss. It cuts away sounds quite a bit

    Still trying to get this to work. I can see the record button grayed out but it’s not active so this has been useless. And software isn’t returnable even if it’s useless so this was a waste of money for me. Google it, I’m not the only one with this problem and haven’t found a solution yet.

    Pretty straightforward installation and user friendly design. The audio came out distorted at first but adjusting the recording device’s volume setting in Windows solved it.

    I downloaded their software from their website for windows and it made my laptop crash. I still can’t use my laptop, i might need to configure my laptop back to manufacturer settings.

    Just what I needed for a project. Had to submit video clips for a lifetime achievement award. Needed to convert old VHS clips ASAP with no editing experience. This Roxio worked better than I had desperately hoped for.

    It says “Easy” but it is anything but! Hard to get customer support. I finally took it back to the store and purchased another brand that worked great.

    Tried installing and it keeps coming up “We encountered a problem, failed to install product.” I am trying to install this on a relatively new Lenovo i7 machine with Windows 11 and it doesn’t seem to work. Even tried downloading the program from Corel assuming it would be the latest version but still doesn’t work. Unless I get a suggestion on what to do I plan on sending it back.

    Not happy. I had an hour and a half VHS to transfer to a 2 hour DVD, and I had to use 2 DVDs. It took forever to download.

    This is exactly what I needed to convert old VHS tapes into digital files on my computer. I then transfer it to a flashdrive to give to my kids or others who would enjoy the recording. Easy to use! (but you need to have a VCR to play the VHS tape…)

    I purchased this item for a work project where we had some old safety VHS tapes that the Safety Manager wanted converted to digital files that she could play on her PC or embed in Power Point presentations. The process is time consuming since the copy has to be made in real time, but it’s basically a set it and forget situation. The software is user friendly and the digital copies came out as good as you can expect when copying from VHS tapes that are over 20 years old. I’ve used Roxio products in the past and never had any issues with them.
